I'm at chap 279

The story is really good. But I really wanted to vent about the romance that is why I'm writing the review now. Honestly Idk how to express how I feel about this couple. Their relationship is kinda like a love-hate relationship. MC always beats ML up and ML always curses MC in his heart.

This love-hate relationship is always tricky, if it is not done well it won't look good. I feel like their romance (if we can even call it that) is not that good. But I... more>> still haven't finished the novel yet so I haven't reviewed it. But for now I'll say its 4.5 because the romance is not done well.

It is a slow romance story btw. I really like slow romances but not just this. And in the tags, it says it is love interest fell in love first but IMO

its the MC who fell first and fell harder. The ML did have slight feelings for her, we can see it here and there but did not like her at all. His missions mostly are to make the MC fall in love with him or to kill her. He couldn't kill her so he tried to woo her, that's how it all started.

but did the ML genuinely like her while he was saying all those sweet words of course..... not. And the MC knows whether others are sincere towards her or not so she knows when he is lying. Thats so sad

(I wouldn't like it someone like MC too, at that time she was trying to get hatred points from ML so her actions are reasonable but after some arcs, she was still like that too) and if he didn't try to woo her our MC wouldn't like him too urgh

And ML is also very manipulative. I tried to brainwash myself saying he is not but the vampire arc which I'm reading now, he mixed his blood in her food. She trusted him but he did this. Now she must have him at all times because his blood is addictive to her. But still she made him her king. Now our MC is slowly falling for him and our ML is very happy but not because he loves her but because he can complete his mission. So in his mind MC is a mission target only. But watching ming shu slowly fall in love with someone who has other motives towards her while she knows it very well too is just heartbreaking because everyone deserves someone who genuinely like them back

Im in the dirt on internet celebrity chap. The ML is getting more and more manipulative. There is a scene where ML got drunk infront of MC and MC asked why he like her and he gave a positive response, for a second even I thought he likes her deep in his heart but just has'nt realised it yet but no it was all just a f*cking act

This novel would have been so much better if it was a no romance novel. Just because the ML does'nt force himself on MC does'nt mean he is a good ML. HE IS A MANIPULATIVE a**hole. There is a reason behind his every action. I only liked the romance in the 3rd arc

Initially, I really love the story. I especially love the first arc where MC unlike most isekai in an entertainment drama, stop acting when given an opportunity. Really refreshing to read.

However there's a limit to my tolerance on MC's personality. She could get annoying at time especially with all the food talk. It gets boring after some chapters. Sometimes she also act like a kid when she's an adult, which thankfully she's getting rightly bad remarks, but I don't think not having an attitude to reflect help it. Then the... more>> last nail to that is her ruining the setting of the host in second arc by not even caring to study and maintain her grades. Everything from there feels awful for me.

I tried the third world, thinking maybe it be better the next but after seeing the plot- well I don't know how they will make it rightious for MC to gain hatred from fake protag but I'm dropping.

I could see that the author took their time crafting good plots, making it beyond romance and the task. I greatly appreciate it, sadly this novel not for me. <<less

I actually finished this months ago, I just decided to read it again this week. After reading it again, I hopped onto here to read reviews because I like to see what other people thought about one of my fav novels. This is a good novel but you really have to be hooked into if for you to be able to really like it.

Ming Shu is not your typical cute FL, she is overbearing sometimes and in her and the ML's relationship, she's the one holding the reigns. For the... more>> people who are annoyed at Ming Shu because all she thinks about is food, you will find out at the end why she eats so much. She has a (SLIGHT SPOILER) tragic past. Her character does develop but in the later chapters. To the ones complaining, you haven't even read so many of the arcs in the story so how could you say that Ming Shu's character is tr*sh? If your near the Revelation Path Arc (37th arc, you'd know how weak Ming Shu is for Qi Yu (the ML) and you'll know how much her character has developed.

Keep in mind that Ming Shu is a very powerful being and I would say that eating is her coping mechanism after what had happened to her. <<less

I recently found these type of novels where there are stories within a story and they're really so fun! Each volume is sorta like a new adventure! This is a really good read although the pace of the actual storyline takes a while to appear and oh my god the 2nd latest volume revealed so much information I'm extremely excited and can't wait until it's fully translated aaa! Please don't drop it too early! It definitely gets better!

I loved this story.

I can understand some people not liking it because MC is kinda shown as heartless but as there is a reason behind everything, you will also know the reason behind her cold attitude towards others. I saw some reviews and had to defend the MC here.

For me, She is really great and I loved her.

Also The ML is very likeable too.

Some arcs can get boring but the later arcs really improves a lot.

I really like the MC as she is a really big glutton that is always smiling and pissing the people around her off. The interactions between her and the ML are really funny. She constantly makes the ML mad, he tends to go looking for a knife to stab her with, not like the typical ML.

I like this one as it's Mo Ling's novel. Start of this novel is kinda average because of some repetitive plots, jokes and MC's sometimes forced love for snacks. But yeah it gets better in the later arcs and you will like the ML.

MC is smart, shameless, foodie and ruthless while our ML is narcissistic. In start, ML forget MC after each arc. But later they tested each other in the arcs and despite the risks and being dubious they still chose each other.

Pretty decent story, I kinda felt like the writing was familiar before I realized I’d seen it in side character transmigrations.

If you look at the other reviews you’ll see something about a really annoying repeating ‘joke’. I was kinda thrown off too when the author suddenly just started putting the joke 4 times in a chapter, but good news is that it only lasts a few chapters in the second arc, just push through. If it really gets on your nerves, skip the arc and move to number three. Next... more>> time you see the joke, it’ll make sense and be somewhat funny. <<less

The FMC has a bit similarities with SCT: TFBINJ (same author) but the FMC here is a foodie with a bottomless pit stomach (3rd only to Luffy and Toriko). It took me a long time to decided to read this because I am not really fond reversal gender roles like this one, but I when I finally read this. (Protagonist : just another cardboard cut out protagonist, cliche personality (overused) (her love for food was kinda unique but eh, it was handled pretty poorly) just a copy paste from the author's other novel, if not, then it's really just a copy paste from any other MC with this genre

Villains/Antagonists/Side Characters : Brain -dead, dumb af (somehow the cliche applies that the protagonist is somehow made out to be a GENIUS meanwhile everyone's as dumb as rocks)

Face-slapping quality: eh (not satisfying, especially when Antagonists are as bland as paper, below satisfaction)

(somehow the female fake protagonist have it way worse than their "supposed" ML, would've been good if the fake protagonists' MLs also would get some "face-slapping" but nooooo they're freaking happy *really annoyed at the first world* it's annoying af)

thought this was nice, was met with disappointment

(after reading "Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder's Record of Counterattacks" my preference and quality in face slapping shot through the roof)

I tried to like this story. SNACKS actually made me loath it instead. Fast.

Reading other reviews, snacks seem to be explained after like 1200 chapters, but even if it was justified in chapter one, a repetitive, unfunny, nonsensical behaviour that does not add anything to the story but on the contrary makes the protagonist less believable and likeable is bad.

So to hell with that, I'm not going to suffer s*upid writing because there's so random justification down the line, I would still have suffered the s*upidity.

This novel is a mess. The author is like someone with chuunibyou syndrome. The characters behave like ones of those cringy, childish anime.

Every arc basically has the same plot, even the ML's thoughts. After MC found out ML's real name, the romance remains still so far. Not recommended for binge reading.

Finally finishing this novel. The first few arcs were a bit boring bit it got better after ML's appearance. Their love journey was kinda hilarious. Both MC and ML were on a different mission and they had conflict of interest but in the end, love conquered all.

MC had to gain a hatred points from the fake FP while ML had to kill the fake FP because she/he was a bug so sometimes, MC failed her mission because ML killed the fake FP before the hatred points were full. MC also needed to gain a hatred points from ML but no matter how angry he was after MC taunted him, he never hated her. Meanwhile, ML also had a mission to kill MC or make her fall in love with him. In every mission, ML always chose the latter choice and somehow, although MC was a bit hateful, he never wanted to kill her no matter what and he tiredlessly tried to woo her until he fell in love with her for real and vice versa.

MC was a bit unlikable though but not to the point of making me discouraged to finish this story. And ML, although he was quite okay, I still hoped that sometimes, he could be the one who saved MC because it's always MC who saved him.

As for the ending, it's a happy ending but I wished there's more of MC and ML's life in the reality. <<less

I'm still reading the novel and it is absolutely hilarious, the MC is such a food addicted that I'm kinda fed up with the word 'snacks' but I like her character she doesn't give a f..k to anyone and she beats whoever irritates her..

I totally love this. I'm only at chapter 305 but every arc is really exciting. The MC is not that easy to fall in love because she only care for the food. Kidding. Well, you can think that she's cold and don't care about the other but she's actually not. She actually care to people around her but you know her mission and the attitude should she acquire on that time. You know, her mission is to gain hate points so it's weird if she starts to care on someone... more>> and she know that it's only a mission so she should not get too much attach on someone. I think, there's a ml. He called them Lord nine but his real name is Qi yu, I think? At first he did not fell in love to our MC but yeah in the end he ended up to love her. Lord nine is also have a system and missions. But Lord nine's memories in every mission got erase. But yeah it's actually good and pretty fun. The MC is not weak but powerful. I also love her because she use her brain. <<less

It's not bad but through the first 100 chapters and more to come, it makes you wonder where the story's going. ML doesn't remember our MC at all with each world he goes through and MC only cares about food... But the synopsis for each world is pretty interesting though.

This novel is great so far..I love the FL who is a foodie and her retorts are too funny..i really pity the system.. Its going to be a hellish ride for it.. After reading this authors previous work shi sheng is my all time favourite among the world hopping types now Ming shu has been added to the list..

I simply fell in love with this novel..

I just had to stop and make a review before I go on with the story. (Read up to c274)

First, some people may find the FL annoying which in the fist couple of arcs she can be callous, too laidback and OP but once you get glimpses of actual plot you get hooked and want to continue reading the story.

Second, I'm seriously contemplating whether to continue this story because one, the story is good but there is starting to have an alarming amount of side characters who just... more>> get straight up abused, got injustice because of something out of their control, victims of circumstances etc and I can't just ignore them for the sake of continuing with the plot. It's sad because I know these scenes are nothing but passersby to the main plot, nothing of significance or worth to call back on in the later chapters. They are basically brushed off in the end with nothing more than a sentence or 2 to describe it.

Third, if you're reading this review to check if you'll read this novel, please consider also checking the tags because I didn't and I regret it. I will give this novel 4/5 will update if I changed my mind

Update c280 : This chapter proved my previous review and I will now drop this novel. Because the amount of damage the FL is causing is just too much for me. I really pity the side characters in this novel, their survival is basically up to luck or mood of the FL. The main reason I'm dropping this because I already gave it a second chance but I think side characters being constantly abused and thrown around is gonna be a recurring theme in the novel and I'm not cool with that so I'm dropping this. Dunno if I will ever pick this up again maybe, maybe not but we'll see. Overall 3/5 or 5/10 for me, I don't completely hate it but I'm not loving it either. <<less

I love the MC so much! 🤣 she's so cute! In chapter 850 the annoying bad guy got ready to defeat the MC and her team with a Super Mecha and I thought the MC would battle him in her own Mecha but instead she gave the order to Blow him up?!?! Lmao whattt!! MC when you used such shortcuts did you consider the bad guy's feelings?? 🤣

Wow this was a journey.... I can't believe it's over now.. although I'm happy with the book and the ending, I can't help... more>> but feel lost.. I'm sure that I'll never be able to find a MC as wonderful as Ming Shu. Where do I find a plot like this one? With such an interesting ML and such unique stories. This book was so well written that every world felt like a new experience. If you're not into Cliche couple settings then this is for you. It wasn't the same Strong Guy Weak Girl or Cold CEO Sweet Girl stuff. The ML wasn't always the strongest or the oldest. Throughout so many different worlds the author always managed to make their relationship settings a new and different one. I felt throughly fulfilled by them. ^_^

I don't like her attitude. I guess I can understand, but it's either written or translated in a way where I don't sympathize with her regarding how she looks at things. Like she treats worlds as fake, and I don't think I can get invested in QT settings where they don't treat others as human.
