Put a 5 rating so it can make the overall rating higher. Chrysanthemum Garden picking up and re translating this novel, and the quality get better. Please read it.

When I read 'I Have Amnesia', I always like and curious about this couple, finally we got the story!

It's enjoyable light read.

Really happy that this got translated completely, at least I kinda get what happened and I get closure. Translation was a bit rough and takes time to understand sometimes.

Storywise... It was good, not a serious story and I'd treat it more comedic. There are parts that are racist but as I said, just treat it as some kind of comedy. Plot gets boring after a while I guess, but if you just want to kill some time this story works.

There is no tension, no suspense, there is no humor (cause both characters are boring as f..), girls are as usually portrayed as dumb and milking money... you get all the stereotype bullsh*t you want, including awwwwwwww scenes (where I usually roll my eyes so hard that I m afraid to get blind). The most interesting episode was the first one...

This is the 3rd novel I have read from this author so far and I love them all. The MC and ML’s always have a very pure love from beginning to end which makes it sweet. The ML in this story is definitely like your overbearing boss as he used to be the emperor but he loves the MC immensely. They got have a 2nd chance to be together again and learned to communicate better about their feelings which is sweet. Now I’m off to the author’s next novel.

I'll try to make it short... good writing, entertaining story. I kind of like how they are still enacting the old etiquette while beeing modern people.

I have to say I was a bit unsatisfied with the way MC is sometimes subservient to ML but it became better and is reasonable understandable.

I especially like the flow between them. From beginning to end an old loving couple with their own little tempers.

I just love this writer.

Honestly I am too lazy to write a review but well, I think everyone should give it a try atleast. Don't give up because of those 1 star comment and all. Everyone has different preference, different tolerance capacity and different perspective. The most comment has negative points because of Xenophobia/racism...... Yes, it's there..... a bit [Every novel does have Xenophobe things or Every novel (with other foreign country involved) I read have that.... be it eastern or western novel.... though Chinese novel do get bit extreme with it], but... more>> it wasn't such a bad thing to get me off (it was more like seeing the nature of humans)...... not that I support the author for it but Well, if you can ignore that or tolerate it, Overall It is good Cute sweet love story of Emperor and Empress Reincarnation with bit of family drama and all.

I really like their relationship in the modern world with no restrictions on their relationship. Also I really love the concept of lovers reunion/reunited. Though I really enjoy their romance, I am not a big fan of the characters involved. Overbearing ML has never been my type (Though I don't mind him much) but more than that I didn't like MC more.....I don't really like these kind of Uke (Mc)...... I can't find the right words. I don't hate the MC..... just never Expected I wouldn't like him.

Anyways I still love the story. I am also enjoying reading the Manhua of this.... toh I prefer the novel as..... for me Manhua is lacking something.

Isn't the sword work on the lovers only?? Then, this goes properly with MC and ML Reincarnation and memories but why others toh.

The synopsis isn't accurate at all; I think the story itself is more interesting. This is the premise of different genres. The author took a little bit of everything. The story is about two lovers who were separated because of treason and death. After millennia, they were reborn and finally got together without politics or etiquette in their way. The most important thing is that they have memories of previous lives.

At the beginning, I thought that there would be a lot of drama, but the story is well balanced and... more>> isn't boring. There are a lot of things going on, but the author doesn't drag things out endlessly; everything is resolved quickly, so it's interesting to read.

MC and ML are really interesting, and the story is unique because the characters come from ancient times. Just imagine the former emperor of ancient China, the proud Son of Heaven, in a modern high school. It was hilarious to read about the emperor's new hobby, too. One would think that because MC and ML were married in previous life they wouldn't have relationship problems, but there were misunderstandings that needed to be resolved. (Nothing major, but it made the story more interesting.) Personally, I liked this novel and would recommend it. It's light reading with a wonderful love story. <<less

loved how not just the MC and ML retained their memories but also other characters like the lil bro, cao gong gong and anyi. I also really enjoyed the start of the novel (about their past)

I was already drowning in heart-shaped bubbles of Love since the the 1st chapter and when MC and ML reunited and when they finally show they remember the past to each other.

I almost suffocated by the Pure Unconditional Love that MC finally told ML about his su*cide and his reason why.

And I squealed while rolling in Happiness when I found out they also able to reunited with the Loyal Eunuch and Loyal General who still ready to Always Serve them..!!!

The Unconditional Love with Lover Reunion and Loyal Subordinates theme is... more>> the Best thing Ever!!!

And then the way MC and ML defeat the Bad people who keep trying to attack them, SATISFYING ~!!!

Pretty good honestly

Altough the part when they go to "america" is kinda cringe ngl. A lot of wrong portrayal about americans. And there is also a lot of plotholes but in my opinion doesn't really affect the story 🤔.

Literally one of the best BL novels yet!

The MC and ML both have their memories from the past and are both inlove with each other (so its not the slow born typ novel)

Their love for each other is so freaking cute! At first they weren't really equal but MC will eventually stand tall by himself. MC is no push over!

A few others also got theur memories back too and rejoined the Emperor (Ml) and the Empress (Mc)

I don't know what others think, but I love it !!! Beginning to the end, I love it all !! The main characters and other characters play their part properly in the whole story. Nothing is missing. The romantic scenes of the couple are so cute. Comedy can also be seen whenever needed.

Highly Recommended for fluffy Bl readers !!! If you can't read the chapters through the given links, you can search the novel in the chrysanthemum garden website.

its nice, but the MC is kind of bland. besides being passably motivated, he doesn't really do much and in some instance drags ML down (despite wanting to come off as them being equals, he really doesn't do much?) In a way, the way things roll out are pretty one dimensional. Lots of family drama and annoyance at jealous/scheming characters, but overall it's not that bad. If I could give half stars it'd actually be 3.5 stars but I really enjoyed the last arc so 4 stars. It wasn't what I expected, based off the summary I thought it was a one sided love/forced marriage that left SX unhappy, in the next life YT has to properly woo SX. It's not that at all. They loved each other in both lives, it was just lack of communication that led to misunderstandings so their relationship suffered the first life.

The novel is split into 3 arcs: the high... more>> school arc, the Americas arc and the entertainment company arc. My favorite was the last one, the least favorite was the Americas one. The high school arc was so sweet and fluffy, straight to the point, they didn't drag out the "does he remember the past life" like other novels. It has moments where you want to scold YT for his behavior but the next moment shows that SX actually likes it. They did the first year then speed run the others. The dad caused the most of the problems albeit indirectly and I wish he suffered more consequences, though the shocks he suffered through were awesome 👌

The Americas arc, my god I almost dropped it three times because of this arc. It does have a racist/prejudice over tone that made me uncomfortable. Like the Americans were either cartoonishly evil or cartoonishly kind & foolish. There's was always a sense of superiority. I'm not gonna nitpick over the accuracy of the location, we're allowed to make fiction a bit fantastical and inaccurate (I swear the author couldn't even keep the timeline straight, how were they going to be accurate in this aspect?) There was even a slight h*mophobia? to one character. And some of the actions of YT were just bad 😬

I mean there were funny moments where they flipped the whole "Asians all look the same" to it being white people. But then there were also moments like when they picked out body guards they said something like "the black men were clearly built for this profession and only second to Chinese martial arts." For the h*mophobia?? Or at least it was a clear disdain of this one character, he dressed up in effeminate clothes and make up for their charity club and he was comfortable in it. But others saw him as a joke or didn't think it was right (including SX). It felt very weird considering this is a BL novel, it was as if the author thought Chinese gay men were fine gentleman and other countries queer people as a joke.

My other complaint was YT's behavior. He was always possessive and a bit controlling, it stemmed from the insecurities of the past life. But it was much worse in this arc. Like he manipulated SX to accompany him somewhere for fun yet left him alone, he broke the flute SX treasured (because it was from YT) so he won't play for others, he finally learns why SX wouldn't be intimate with him before (it was very painful) yet he used painful s3x as a punishment for when SX isn't behaving the way YT wants. It just rubbed me wrong and I was hoping to see some growth in that area and it lessened but I didn't think he really improved much.

Also why the heck was he always mad at his brother??? He kept bully the little brother for no real reason. Like sure SX was supposed to rule and teach the brother until he was of age but it was the emperor who asked SX to accompany him to death and SX who agreed. Because they were so in love!!! And the little brother wasn't a bad ruler he kept the peace his big brother worked hard to set the foundation for, basically protected his legacy. His only fault was being uhh... amorous, so many concubines. Literally did nothing wrong and yet big brother bullies him 😥

The entertainment company one was my favorite!! Ahh so much dog food, there was a of a dramatic plot that felt a little out there sometimes. They were sweet and so in love. There was more comedic moments in this. There was a budding side CP. A happy ending 💕 <<less

I love this novel so much... 😂 Anyway what racist what geography wrong I don't care since taken account this novel was written maybe early 2000/2010.... I never stop laughing and amused with the Emperor and the Empress. I won't say the Emperor is selfish, besides he love the empress to the point he was too possessive and try hard to understand empress even though he was an Emperor. This show how both of them going from royalty to modern citizen smoothly. Both of them truly love each other and... more>> of course there's some arguments and misunderstanding that the author thankfully don't drag it along the novel.

My favourite character here of course Dugu An. He is a loveable character and multi-talented. Anyway, I need background story on how he met emperor in the modern world. <<less

I just finished reading this today and I must give it a straight 5 stars because honestly, such an adorable story deserve this rating. I particularly like Song Xiao's character for being reasonable at all times, he's capable of handling matters and also in handling the Emperor. Yu Tang is also adorable, quite a clingy husband to our male Empress and that makes him cute. However, the only thing I would want to address with regards to this novel is the story of them during the Great Yu dynasty. It... more>> would've been much better if it was elaborated thoroughly. The plot which the Emperor made a male one as his Empress is interesting, including Yu Jinlin. I teared up when I read the certain scene where the film about the dynasty ended with Jinlin reminiscing. Such a masterpiece, It would be nice to see a separate story for that but anyways, Stop Bothering Me, Emperor is one hell of a good novel for those who likes soft/drama. <<less

While the title of the novel definitely does not match the plot — meaning Song Xiao never felt like Yu Tang (Emperor) was a bother — and the plot had some holes here and there, overall the novel was extremely cute to read and I found myself crying somewhere there during the end. All in all, I liked it a lot.

at first I read it bacause its one of Chrysanthemum Garden's work and I trust their choice, you should read their work, some of them are really hot and some of them are really cute

this novel has the cutest empress and empror I have ever seen. The story isnt boring and And it keeps you thirsty to see the rest

and strangely the side characters are cute too especially the guard and the butler or even the little brother and sister, they are really funny and I laughed with story many time

MC and ML are mature and you didnt need to worry about some annoying matters like misunderstood between them or stubborn and Proud main lead who cause useless and annoying fight in the story but I think villaineses in the story are really inept and author could make them more clever.

The only problem with this novel was the lack of mpreg. I reallyyyy wanted to see their cute child

but it doesnt matter at all.

yes I agree thet story line and characters have their own problems and this novel isnt the best novel I have ever read, but in my opinion the most importnat thing is thet I really enjoyed the story and characters didnt have annoying and silly bahavior and didnt go on your nerve so As long as I enjoy a novel I rate it high and dont care about other things.

It's so poorly translated until Chrysanthemum garden picked it up. And it's waaaaaay later in the book. I am very grateful to translators, but tbh, I am not very thankful when the product isn't any better than if I MTLd it. If you can't translate it well, let better translators do it. I couldn't even get to the part where CG translated because the previous translations were so bad and the story is not great... more>> enough for me to bear it. <<less

I actually LOVED this novel. I held myself back from reading it for so long because I didn't really understand the premise from the little blurb up top and the ratings seem all over the place.

MC and ML are reincarnated to continue the love story that they never got to finish together due to their premature deaths. MC is mature, studious and noble with infinite patience for a lot of things I would have snapped at in 0.5 seconds already. ML is your typical ML in any novel, extremely handsome,... more>> extremely talented, strong physically, etc but most importantly he is completely devoted to MC. Devoted to the point where in his past life he fought for the throne just for the sake of being able to marry his beloved and tie him to himself forever. He dies without ever realizing that MC loved him back too.

Some minor things that kind of bothered me was:

  • Dugu An was basically plastered at ML's side before MC even appeared and ever lived in his house... yet no one felt suspicious about his relationship with Yu Tang. While Song Xiao just started hanging out with Yu Tang a few times and people are wondering if their relationship is gay... which it is but, still. Dugu is handsome too? And he's like... there.
  • They never explained the Moye sword's role in the reincarnation. Like, near the end it says that the myth is that Moye sword gives married couples a chance to stay together... okay, so why does Cao Gonggong, Dugu and the general get to reincarnate too?? They aren't married to anyone!
  • Yu Tang's messy family business. I honestly couldn't keep track of all the grandpas and uncles and cousins. But. If they're rich and they all have their companies that they are in charge of... why does whoever being "family head" matter? If I'm CEO of my company and all my employees recognize me, I wouldn't have a crap about whoever is family head. I'll just skip Christmas dinner if I don't like them. This is probably a Chinese inheritance thing I will probably never get.
  • Halun University. Actually, the whole university arc was confusing. Do universities in China really let you just skip classes and do intern stuff all year and you get credits for it? Why bother going to university then??
On the other hand, a lot of people are crying racist about the American arc. I... personally don't think it is a big deal? LOL It's a Chinese novel, written by a Chinese author, for a Chinese audience... The fact of the police taking the side of the White guy who is clearly in the wrong is very realistic, I'm sorry. The fact of American film makers taking advantage of Chinese market to make money off them by throwing a few token Chinese actors for like, less than 20 seconds of the film so the Chinese audiences will watch it is also very true. Just Google and you'll find a ton of examples. I mean yeah, there are quite a few stereptypes in the American arc, but the same thing happens a ton in American media all the time and they don't have the excuse of being a country with a homogenous population like Asia. <<less
