Description
Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. There are always four kinds of people in the traditional Mary Sue world. The Male Lead, the Mary Sue female lead, the woman who never wanted to see the female protagonist live a good life, and the infatuated man willing to destroy heaven and earth to get the female lead.
However, with the rapid expansion of the army of rotten women, there is also a growing type of character, and that is a man who is also infatuated with the male lead… This character is referred to as the gay guy. They share the same infatuation as the second man, also has a tragic end and works together in hindering the male and female protagonist’s love.
Fan Yuan has walked in every time and space playing as the gay man. He had always enjoyed it, until one day, with superb acting, he made the male lead bent… o (╯-╰) o
Fan Yuan (affectionate confession): “I do not want to be your brother, in fact, I have always loved you.”
Someone (fondly looking back): “Me too.”
Fan Yuan (⊙_⊙): “…”
You’ve got the wrong line, bro!

I always give up reading halfway then forgetting about it and tries to go back to reading it again giving it a chance because of certain reviews.
The thing that bores be out the most is that each world doesn't really have a good hook, sometimes it felt like dragging and bores you out.
Reading each chapter becomes a chore for me, enjoyable on some parts but dragging on most of it.
- It was explained later in the novel that there is a original source world that manages the worlds that the 'actors' gets sent to. There is a hierarchy of actors (high, medium, low) that operates in different planes (upper, medium, lower). This hierarchy dictates what type of roles the actors gets to play in. The MC, Fan Yuan, is a low level actor (from the lower plane) who acted random roles for 3000 yrs before he leveled up to be a supporting role as the minor gay love rival.
The concept of levels and planes is confusing. The snippet in the spoiler box below explains it better.

The highlight:Excerpt from Ch4.9 (Arc 4, Chapter 9)
Worlds where acting tasks could be executed were divided into three thousand large worlds, three thousand medium worlds and three thousand small worlds, also known as the upper plane, the middle plane and the lower plane. Whatever the level of the world, all of them were managed by the original source world.
Fan Yuan, for example, was a minor gay love rival actor, so he belonged to the supporting male group. However, due to the fact that among the supporting males there were also distinctions between levels and the nature of the acting roles, the supporting male group was divided into many departments that were carefully managed.
And watching over all these departments was a very mysterious organization called the Law Enforcement Group, which consisted of ten senior law enforcement advisors. The number of senior law enforcement advisors was fixed at ten, but the number of people waiting to fill the spots numbered to way more. The birth of a new law enforcement advisor had to be accompanied with the fall of an old one.
One of the ten law enforcement advisors, who was rumoured to have never been replaced, was Lord Li Yanlong, the chief advisor.
In arc 4, we learn that the MC died in the real world and transmigrated to the other world which assigns actors to play roles in novels. It is revealed that the MC was also an actor when he was still alive in the real world. He was regarded as the movie emperor and went by the stage name, Dan Wen. When another actor inquired him about 'Dan Wen, ' the MC did not recognize the name (suggesting that MC forgot about his life in the real world)
Li Yanlong - revealed in arc 2 to be the Chief Law Enforcement Advisor. Li Yanlong seems to know everything that is going. He was the one who revealed the true identity of the MC. He bowed to Yan Rui, which suggests that Yan Rui is of even higher rank.
The ML's name is Yan Rui. He first appeared in the 1st arc which is the 2nd novel that the MC 'acted' in. We finally learn his name in arc 3. Yan Rui's is still a mysterious character. It was largely implied in arc 2 that he is someone of considerable ranking. In arc 3, the MC speculated that Yan Rui is unlikely to be an actor since he escaped the system's detection.
Yu Kai, the BOSS of arc 1, was played by an 'actor' as well. He reappears in arc 4 as Hong Wu, the BOSS of arc 4. The name of this actor is unknown, but it is revealed that he was a die hard fan of Dan Wen when he was alive and is several years younger than him. He has romantic interests in the MC
- I love the MC's internal monologue and his interactions with the system is hilarious. The MC is no genius, but his viewpoints are very down to earth (and comical) in how he points out the flaws in straight novels.
- There's a bigger world (with the 'actors' and the Law Enforcement Group) that's outside of these individual arcs and it's exciting when hints are dropped in each arc.
- The smut is very explicit. It starts in arc 4
The downside: The individual arcs themselves are pretty dull. Considering that each arc is 13 chapters at most, I feel like too much of it is wasted on development (explaining the set up of the arc, the events, the MC's internal monologue, and the MC/ML's relationship development). However, since the ML doesn't care to follow the script, the plotline of the arc runs without any direction and concludes in a rush. I read up to ch.4 of the 6th arc before I dropped this. Truthfully, I already started getting bored midway through arc 3 which is the worst arc out of the 6 I've read.
