Plot: MC died because of her cheater/douchebag husband & his evil mistress. She rebirths as the daughter of rich general in the same time period & place, becomes powerful/smarter, saves & adopts her son from previous life, works to renew previous owner's reputation and gets revenge against her past life's & current haters................................ to just end up with another cheater/douchebag husband/ML who the author likes to overly describe as "perfect", "devilishly handsome" & "s.e.x.y" (like that makes him worthy of our heroine) *rolls eyes*

I literally cried tears of FRUSTRATION. Towards the 2nd half of the story the ML takes away their child because he wanted to cure him, and he decides to hide it from FL and marry another woman who happens to be FL's rival like what? He even made the child forget all memories about FL!! He might have done it with supposedly "good intentions" but that will never make up the years of torment he made the FL undergo. AND THE FL eventually forgave him and they had the oh-so-happy ending. Really? Even after all the suffering you went through? Towards the end it was even revealed that this ML was the one who r*ped her in her past life lol he literally committed all the crap tr*sh MLs in other novels do. FL should have ended up with her master who was always there for her and even sacrificed himself in the end. Heck, ALL the other male lead contenders are SO MUCH better than the ML.
Before reading this I ranked MLs who are abusive and controlling as the ultimate most detestable type, but damn this ML really made me see a whole new world.
Plus the title of "Genius Daughter" is so ironic, FL is a real dumbas.

Alo prince nan: make her as hate-bait for another woman (who tried ti frame her cuz of him)... you had hudreds of chances to say NO or leave the room.

I dont know who the ML is yet.. maybe reverse harem? but nah... prince Nan is a jerk.

I think hes trying to be a "yandere" character minus the cute, it isnt he doesnt come off as cool.

He steals the FL's son that she worked hard to obtain again after her rebirth, for no effing apparent reason, other than there were people after him. Yes, you read it right, he had people after HIM, not at the FL, and he took the kid (her REAL son) away with him to hide. It doesn't make ANY sense AT ALL. The FL nearly went crazy because of it. If he wanted to hide, then do f*ckin so, don't take away someone else's kid with you. Even if he's the real father, which, at that time, was still unknown to everyone, he still doesn't have the right to separate a mother from her child. Not only that, he got the child to forget about the FL, got f*ckin married to someone else and basically, had the kid be raised by the b*tch that he married. He even stole the FL's cheat because he believes that the spirit/being contained in it was evil, and so she can't even ask for help to find her kid.

I had to ask for spoilers from those that read the raw version, just to find out that I would get even MORE enraged at the things that would happen next. So yeah, novel dropped. I don't know what the h*ll the author was thinking, but the ML was detestable and the FL, basically, had no sense of self-worth.

She gets rid of the princess and ex husband, reclaims her son and status. Cultivated real quick in her magical world. You don't cross be you'll live, you cross me you die. It's the same usual revenge story.

When MC finally can heal her son she also wants to wipe his past memories. Which I think its a bit extream; choosing to erace all that little TianCi learned and experienced through life, because of bad memories (he even forgot his birth mom[ogmc]). Basically a whole new kid who has no fear, attachments or memories. Kinda sad actually, especially when he would rather be with others hes just met rather than his mom.

DOKnt know if PrinceNan (Yun Shimo) is the ML but this boy is way to clingy... First he wants to accept MCs son as a disciple, then her (to train her heart...?wth), then after the lil boy is healed but looses his memories YS immediatly blurts that hes the father (hes not)......... He obviously likes her so its kinda Meh using disciple as a excuse for everything

And MC goes along with all this because hes treating her son... and she feels greatful. Even lying to her son about him being her sons dad... Idk how I feel with this guy, I feel that their relationship basically stems of the fact that he healed her son...

But theres also the mysterious biological father whos a mystery unsolved. Kinda hoping on him

** City arc- author says bla bla, such a genius genius, has 10k old monsters and mysterious masters helping her... but the slag out does her, her THOT sister catches up equal. So how is she special other than a few unique tricks from the demonic prisoner. Her sister is the true hero of Hua Kia since she caught up in less time to same level with fewer tricks. So apparently MC is just a useless drag with prettiest face known in the wide social circles who would have died as soon as reborn if not for the Daoist Mystery Machine (Hey Scooby!) kik starting her life with the Jade& having her adopt a son? -_- Drop a star in a mere 20 chapters after new arc

I DESPISE & LOATHE Prince Nan, Lan ShiMo the medicine saint from moment he buddies up to he son and ruins her rep in less than a week. who cares about HIS circumstances.. he could have just not ever involved her.. obsessive, possessive and attracted but you cant tell me its love. He later Betrays her 'for speshul reasons ' and KIDNAPS HER HARD WON SON!even if you give a life for someone at the final hour.. doesn't mean its an honest love. I hope he pulls a dicaprio ending!
