Don't be misled by the chapter numbering, Chapter 1 Part 6 is Chapter 6 of the Childhood arc any standard numbering. These aren't divided chapters.

This story moves quickly and avoids cliches. Chapter 15 is training, 25 is adventurer registration, and 35 is when the actual plot starts. This sadly isn't a story about a noble-girl adventurer, but it isn't a typical otome plot either.

The actual plot is a take on otome plots where the 'heroine' has some mysterious agenda and charm power, gaining a harem of young men that gives... more>> her a troublesome amount of sway in the nation. This story sets itself apart because the MC actively moves against that plot, and there is a realistic response of opposing factions among nobility and territories. By chapter 50 it looks like the heroine's ploy will end up in some sort of conflict, as the MC's faction is almost entirely composed of blood-thirsty hawks waiting for the MC's enemies to show up so they can crush them. That said, it is 80% cute fluff and 20% heavy scenes as appropriate. <<less

Screw the "she will ruin my life and kill me later but I won't kill her because it's wrong to kill other human", f*ck that.

The story is pretty interesting until chapter 38,

Spoiler

where there's a woman who can charm other people and the main cause of MC tragedy life in the game. Said woman also just trespassing and attacked MC (she return home with blood all over her body).

[collapse]

There are all the reasons to justifiably kill her and absolutely no reason not to but despite all that and all experience MC had they still let her alive for f*ck sake instead of just kill her for good.

I know I shouldn't expect men in shoujo novels to have balls in their c*otch but they are just failure as a father and a brother.

It's too much for me.. I really didn't expect it to go from bad to worse.

In the earlier chapters its bad enough that a 30 year old lady who reincarnated into a 3 year old doesn't really think like one, there is also the Lolicon problem, almost every single male in the story are lolicons, ... more>>
Spoiler

$hit.. It gave me the creeps when I read adults blushing from a 6 six year old, there was even a lolicon crown prince despite being 16 proposed to a 6y.o., "hello, police?"

[collapse]
There are a lot of immature moments that made me think that the setting of a 30 year old reincarnate forgotten, then if that wasn't complicated enough for the author he made it feel like MC has 2 previous lives it also includes the memories of the novel version of the villaneous lady..

Another thing that ruined it for me is

Spoiler

the craaazy reincarnated prince.. I was hoping for a more reasonable reason when the prince attacked MC at the beginning but then he followed up with a ally request.. Is he touched in the head? Then when MC rejected the offer the prince tried to kill MC.. Yeah I grant the prince the crazy title.. The reason he wants MC to join because he wants MC & her family to support him in the war to reduce casualties yet instead prefers to make them their enemies instead of being a neutral party so that means more casualties?.. So dumb, I first thought that the prince was smart but actually he was just crazy dumb, making the strongest war princess even though she's old & the last line of defense family into an enemy, where's the logic in that?he just have a death wish even though he keeps saying he wants to live..

[collapse]

Well there are more reasons why its bad but those are my personal biased so it won't be mentioned *cough* *poor magic system* <<less

Maybe I'm in the mood as I just finished reading it, but all I can say is that this is one of the best shoujo novels I have read. I had checked the comments before starting and felt dubious, but the manga had shown some promise, and now that I have read it, I can heavily recommend it.

Now, this is a very easy to read Shoujo novel for males. Similar to White Pig, this is NOT a novel where the MC relies on a bunch of pretty men all around... more>> her for everything, nor does she act like a frail victim, much less as an invincible happy go lucky cheat. Also in regards to the "plot" that they try to evade, both don't really deviate too much from what they should have been due to MC's absence in most of its part.

A common trope of "reincarnated in Otome world": Usually when the Main Character reincarnates as a villainess in the story, she then acts in reverse, goes to school and everyone likes her, in some cases, when the heroine is another reincarnator, she is turned into a loser who believes the story is still going even though she missed all the flags because MC is liked this time. This story does not do that, and the reason is simple: If the villainess doesn't go to the same school, then there will be no plot with her, and that should be all, right?

But the story wasn't just about the villain suffering, as she is also "stolen" from, meaning, the Heroine not only has nothing stopping the flags from happening (meaning, on her side, the story goes basically smoothly), it's also in her interest to find the villainess to her that which she would receive once winning. It also doesn't take much to reveal that if MC thought her best friend would never betray her, this is a plot where the heroine is heavily "favored" by destiny.

As the MC is aiming to be an adventurer, this is a more action oriented story (Which is why its easier on males, I guess), and she has cheat powers, but that's not to say she didn't go into arduous training, so don't expect a frail mage that can do anything with a finger flick, she is a cheat compared to normal people, but strong people in the world are just as strong as her when not more, and she trained a lot to be able to essentially turn into a ninja mage.

The plot also involves some politics, but nothing too complicated, this is not a story about a daughter raising a fief, she is not a Duke's daughter either, and although her family is prestigious, as an Earl, her family is not that much influential (her father and maternal grandmother are to some extent, but that feels to be more on their individual prowess rather than their family names).

The plot is somewhat fast paced, and although I read in a comment that it was mostly fluffy, I didn't feel like it at all. Certainly there are some tension breakers in the story, but they don't last that long, and the story advances fast after that. There is also some comedy that seems quite inspired in "Average Girl" novel, but they are not as constant as there, and are usually limited to tension breakers, although they are important, as they also give more explanation about the background characters and their positions in the story, and most of them will be recalled later.

My conclusion is that this is a great story, a hidden gem of sorts that is not that long, fun to read while not being that hard with... If there is one problem, is that the translations are... "annoying". Up until a point it was acceptable or at least passable, but as it advances, translated names are all over the place, genres are sometimes wrong too, it's like they just went with some MTL and edited it. <<less

This story is very heavy on the dramatic aspect. It will be a hit or miss. You'll either think it's melodramatic or connect with the characters and the story. Also heavy on the cuteness aspect, but that should be an easy hit.

While the premise is far from original, the MC from the otome game is an actual threat to the novel's MC, even though she's already a Mary Sue and conquers everyone around her, albeit in an 'innocent way'. The original plot is presented as a 'curse', destined to ruin... more>> the villainess and take everything from her.

That was the best part of the novel for me. About how the new MC is running away from the original story but the story seems to be running after her no matter what, and most of all, one screw up and she and her family are done. Both suffer from this, specially her, which brings the dramatic parts, about how losing the one's she learned to love will break her.

The worst is the Mary Sue part, where she's good at everything, fighting, magic, manners, inteligence, etc. The 13 years old her can beat ppl twice her size in a strength contest and other similar bs. Also when she just enters somewhere and everyone suddenly loves her and wants to make her a leader because 'fate' and undying loyalty among other stuff. The power system is also bad. People train hard and become supernatural just because.

If not for that, it would be an amazing, albeit not original, novel, but that is because the drama part was a hit for me. Just know that you might find it cheesy and dislike that part as well.

Overall, I recommend you try it for the drama and fluff, while trying to forgive the Mary Sue and action parts. <<less

So to preface this, I'm still currently reading. But I'm going to rate this at a 3, but only because I really really hate the ML. I actually enjoy the story and the protag, the comedy is hilarious and it's a fun read that had me chuckling. But for some reason, the author continually tries to make the ML look like a good guy. All see if him being domineering, controlling and possessive. I realize this is a bit of a trope, especially within this setting. It seems though, that... more>> the author does not know how to write this kind of character and have them be likable. Part of the problem, this is written in a slice of life type of format, without much romance. She's met the ML like, a total of 4 or 5 times in 10 yrs? He shows up out of the blue finally, because the "promised time has come" and sweeps her off her feet and she just goes with it. Like she's in love too, you've met the guy a total of 5 times.. He's a domineering moron who doesn't take any of her own wishes into account. <<less

It's a lighthearted otome game isekai at first, but becomes a bit more dramatic later. In the beginning, like other reviewers have mentioned, the MC basically breezes her way through obstacles and grows exponentially - basically she's a cheat magician so she's more powerful than much of the world's common sense. Most of the first few volumes therefore are more centered around her interactions with friends and worries about the future than the actual obstacles - her power is played quite comedically at the beginning for the most part so... more>> I enjoyed it. But in later chapters the conflicts are actually threatening, the MC is pushed to her limits, and things don't always go well... As an example (potentially fairly big spoilers) :

Spoiler

There are at least 2 other reincarnators, one (the MC of the otome game) seems to have an incredibly powerful Charm ability that's a cheat in its own right and may have the power to overcome the bonds MC has made with some of her closest friends/family/allies. The second reincarnator (won't spoil) is easily more powerful than MC (so far!), and our MC gets utterly annihilated in their first encounter despite having the help of 2 holy beasts to his 1. Read the story to find out why our MC is at odds with the other reincarnators!

I would have given a higher score but there are several reasons

1 the translation quality is not that great

2 the story is interesting in the start but progression gradually becomes dull, mainly due the half-hearted personality of the mc

3 last I feel like story will become straight up s*upid, I maybe wrong persay but mostly the feeling I am getting from this plot makes me think that I am right

Hello everyone as I didn't finish reading this novel till the end my opinion might be bias, but I gave 3 stars cause.

1. Maybe it's my missundrstanding but MC is acting actually like she travel back in time instead of reincarnation. She is acting like all thing written in a book already happen to her, like she already expirenance it which is huge lie cause she only read about it. For example when she is talking about emperor how much he did for her when she was banished. So there... more>> is a lot situation when it look more like she travel in time instead of reincarante which for me is quite a pain to read.

2. I am sick tired of emperor and MC relationship if you could call it like that. MC just can't be straight with her opinion which later on cause more and more misunderstanding and more problems on way.

I did drop this novel cause I just couldn't read more about half-ass effort with her relationship with everyone basicly. <<less

I've finished the main story and decided not to continue with the extras.

Story wise it's a fun read and fast-paced, but after some point it gets a bit repetitive.

I'm not sure if it was the translation or the author's writing, but about after two-thirds of the novel the writing becomes hard to read, but you get the gist of it and can read through the chapters. If it weren't for this I might have given it a higher score.

Other than that, loved the characters, setting and pacing. Definitely would recommend,... more>> with the caveat of the writing getting worse in later chapters <<less

+ The plot is unique as far as "reincarnated in an otome game" goes, it has a nice spin and doesn't follow the generic cliché.

+ The pacing is good, doesn't drag but doesn't skip around unnecessarily either

+/- The overall atmosphere is lighthearted.

... more>> - Characters are flat, not necessarily shallow in their characterzation, but follow tropes and are a bit predictable; if you don't mind cliché characters, they are actually ok.

- - Author does a bad job at creating a credible setting: protagonist mastered magic just because the author wanted an OP protagonist, basically omnipotent with no explanation at all "oh sure, I can create vaccines and heal diseases just by willing it, no need to elaborate on that right?"; what kind of 10-12 years old is so great at martial arts that he can train his THREE-FIVE YEARS OLD sister, who as part of the training climbs a tree 100 times like it's no big deal.

Overall it's a ok novel, and I'll read as a fluffy pastime, I'd rate this at 3.5/5 if I could, I can't round it up to 4 with those defects so it's 3/5. <<less

There are interesting elements in the story, but.....

I'm just gonna say this, everytime there is an option, the MC will not pick the worse option, instead but the dumbest options with the dumbest logic. If you have a functioning brain, be warned malding at the MC.

It's okay. I generally drop any ones that I rate 3 stars but as far as the otome genre goes, this one is interesting. Maybe a 4 star if the translation was improved.

The translator gives it a shot. I don't think it comes out particularly well, but the effort is there I think. It's at least readable. I initially thought the issues were with the translation but I think it's actually just the author unable to keep any sort of consistent flow going. Props to the translator for slogging through... more>> this. <<less

  2. The first prince
  3. And Lastly the MC herself!!!

With what little is available, it's hard to write a review. But from what I read and the few artworks I found, It's certainly interesting enough for me to hope it updates one day.
There were a few minor errors I found in the writing itself, like sentence structure and grammar but it's really not that bad. The story from what I can gather is, interesting enough I suppose. It's nothing new really, but I think it holds quite the potential. The holy beast is really cute and wholesome, so... more>> I would really like to read more of him, and the silver haired guy, I assume is the prince??? Is pretty neat looking, along with the other holy beast who I can only assume is Suzaku. Well ither way, I do hope that translation continues, within a relatively good time. Qwq <<less

This is so good. I don’t get the criticism from some of the reviewers. I’m really enjoying the mofumofu, laughs, bittersweetness, and depth of emotions from the MC.

I don’t think ML is bad at all, I quite like him. He feels a lot more real than some selfless and frustrating ML’s who don’t earnestly go after what they want. He’s also valuable and helpful to the MC.

To each their own, I guess.

This is mediocrity given form

The first line that needs to be drawn in a reincarnation story is consistency. Do you have powers? What is it? How does it work? It doesn't have to make sense, it doesn't have to be balanced, all it has to be is consistent. This novel doesn't have that.

The protagonist (that is, the titular villainess) have an OP power that in layman terms is described as having infinite genie in a bottle wish, in Warhammer 40K terms she has Ork powers: so long as she thinks... more>> of something, her magic bends reality to fit her imagination. For example, merely by imagining antibacterial drugs in her mind she can cleanse her wounds and prevent infection with magic. She doesn't even know how it works, only that it does. It works precisely like Warhammer 40K ork: their magic bends reality to fit their imagination: orks believe their rifles shoot out lasers, thus the rifles shoot out lasers, despite the rifle in question being literally merely branches tied together with string

She uses this power to create new spells, spells that bend reality and generally do awesome stuff due to its inherent quality as "holy sh*t how does this even work?" revolutionary stuff, which still work even when cast by others. This by itself isn't really a problem but then she started creating even stronger spells, yet at no point did the villainess use this power to fix her problems, despite knowing full well how it works. The best she did was creating a meta spell, Analysis, that tells her exactly who someone is and their attributes. There's no explanation for this lack of troubleshooting beyond the author not even mentioning it in the first place

This is the sort of thing that annoys the reader: inconsistency. If her powers are THAT good, and she knows it's that good, there should be a reason why she didn't use it. That's why Earth is made of Kryptonite in Superman: Superman is OP and there should be a reason why he didn't just break his enemies' bones right then and there

Aside from this annoying inconsistency, the pacing is also lackluster. The 3 volumes span 13 years of her life, and in the first volume alone there were time skips from 3 to 6 to 11 to 13. That alone isn't a problem, but the story interspersed in between also has a lot of weird skips where the author backtracks a bit to explain what happened in between, like when she explained about a bunch of rings.

It's not that timeskips are bad, it's not that having it frequently is bad, but the way the author does it is kinda weird. It happens when it really doesn't have to

The story itself is ok. I finished it. If someone asked me about it I'll go "eh, it's shoujo, it has shoujo stuff, that's how it is".

It's kinda ironic though that even in a shoujo novel where the female lead has OP powers, the men are still the strongest after all <<less
