I honestly loved the story at first. It was fluffy, slow paced, and the cute bun filled you with so much sugary moments you’d go crazy from the sugar high. I loved the ML so much but as soon as he switched up and started to get possessive of her out of nowhere I started to change my mind. Don’t get me wrong, I still tried to pull through because I honestly loved Peicheng when they were filming the survival thingy but that part when they were outside her house... more>> just ruined it for me. I honestly felt kinda bad for her because you could tell she didn’t want either men. It was just frustrating to me since I was In her head reading her emotions. So whenever the ML would try to control her, I would just get angry. And that kinda overshadowed the love. The ending was also a bit too rushed for my taste. But that shouldn’t stop you from reading it. Other than those aspects I didn’t have anything more to say. <<less

It was.... ok? It has some good parts like an MC who isn't a dense airhead or the fact that they didn't go with the abusive storyline that most CN romance novels do in which they put the MC together with the man who abused her in the original story. But it's still riddled with cliches. MC has some kind of superpower that makes her special. MC can do no wrong. MC is a one-woman army, she can act, she can talk, she can fight, what can't she do? Typical... more>> female protagonist in a transmigration novel. And the ML, yes he's sweet and he's amazing, but he's sooooo typical. There are also many themes in the novel that makes me uncomfortable or want to throw up with how cheesy it is. Not bad for a binge read but it's a rather cliche novel among the numerous CN transmigration/romance novels just like it. Not my cup of tea, but hey, some people like it. <<less

----------spoilerish ranting----------

I agree with LunadeSelene's comment. ML was lonely vs but when I can't help but thinking if I was his brother would I like ml? I don't think so. And I really disturbed about author using r*pe as a punishment and hiv or aids like a curse. When brother got hiv because of original FL he locked up separately from others for what? Does authors of novels think hiv infect via touching or air? And there is so many people living with hiv, it's real, just because you got... more>> hiv it doesn't mean you got aids. And he can have s*x with a guy or a girl who cares if he wasn't forcing the other party which he did. please don't misunderstand I'm not saying he is a good guy or anything. But I really don't like the author pushing him to make more disgusting things. Just because he is a villain is he have to have sh*t personality? And origFL too, even to the final part she spends her last money to slandering to mc? Was it necessary? Doesn't she have right not to like mc? She was originally a girl from rich but lived ten years in village. I mean come on.

Their father-ml's- doesn't even think twice when he learned his son got arrested and possibly got hiv. How his son get infected or is he fine now? I can't say much about ml, he was okey except the part he was pushing when MC needed time to adapt or accept her reality. But ml's father is really a scumbag and a sh*t father. He got ML when he was married with brother's mother and he knew brother treat ML bad but he just watched it. He is responsible for ml's unhappiness and his brother's. I don't know but he owes an apology to both I think. Don't mind me just ranting because it made me really angry as I read he was just a good grandpa to baby.

Overall I think the first part was more interesting but generally it was fine. Later our FL was like jelly whenever ML kissed her. Literally it was at least 6-7 times it described she would lose her strength which she can fight with an adult man with no problem as they kissed. Are you a jellyfish or what? We understood you kiss for first time but second, third,... nt time? She was a strong, independent woman at first but later story turned into a overbearing president mixed with run with a baby story. So I didn't like last part. It was okey but I don't think it's a gem. <<less

Misleading title.

The story is cute but clichéd. Perhaps I expected a bit more due to the title but wounded up not gaining anything. I thought it would be a refreshing read, but oh well.

Luo Luo is cute though.

I like the overall feel of this story, from plotline to characters. I am glad that this one does not take over 1000 chapters just to get to the main point of the story. The author paced it rather well and character development is there, only that don't expect much of character depth. This is just like one of those rom-com novel where its sweet and fluffy, so its really worth your time.

The characters are pretty interesting. The ML and FL are not that complicated. The antagonists did their job... more>> good enough only that, lacking in depth so don't expect a lot from there coz I think its pretty realistic enough compared to most antagonists in other novels which oftentimes borderline batshit-crazy. So, I kinda understand the author's approach to this. Thats why I gave 4 stars for this story because of characterisation.

The overall storyline had a little Twilight Zone-feel here. So, expect some things are unexplained as it is. Mysterious as it is, I reckon the author just wanna keep it that way.

The translator did a swell job with the quality of translation, pretty good job there. <<less

Good story, left me confused and bored at times but overall very interesting and satisfying. ML is lovable and the relationship grows slowly but once they know their feelings everything it's just a bunch of family moments.

Spoiler

ML is film emperor, he slowly falls for her and later finds out she has a kid. (Which is actually his cuz she entered the wrong room when trying to sleep with childhood friend)

her childhood friend used to like her but after an accident, she disappeared (surgery after saving him in another country, relating to her parent's fraud so never revealed), he resented her for it so stopped liking her but once he knew he wanted her back but by then she already liked film lord (ML)

This is a cute and fluffy story... that's unfortunately filled with cliche plot points.

*sigh*

The main story, or should we say, the back story, of the characters is SO CLICHE if the story started like that I would have throw this book of the window. Oh boy, I felt like I was reading a cliche manhua with what was happening at the flashbacks.

✔ FL was abandoned by her adopted family when their real daughter came back
✔ The real daughter (who is our villain here) was in love with the same guy FL liked and did some evil deeds to win the guys heart including drugging her to have s*x with the some one else who later turns out to be the ML (he was also drugged)
✔ Neither ML or FL could remember the night. FL got pregnant but didnt know who the father was. And then ML and FL met years later and...

You know, your cliche Chinese manhua.

With a slight differences.

This sh*t doesn't happen to our female lead and instead it's backstory for a book's villainess. When our female lead finds herself in this novel world as the said villainess, however, this sh*t becomes her problem.

But wait... why is the the story's male protagonist is such a bastard?

Isn't the second male lead of the story who is a film emperor so much better?

The heroine of the story a white lotus?

Why is the villainess's child is so damn cute?

You see, it started so well!! Half of the story is pretty good. But after middle point I've felt like the characters were two dimensional and there werent enough character development. Everything was either black or white. Specially the villains. The characters either loved our female lead or hated her. If they loved her they were good, if they hated her they turned out to be villians who made really childish and s*upid things that later bit them in their own ass.

I've also had a bit problem with our male lead. Most of the time he was a gentleman but there were moments he was being way too overbaring with not accepting no for answer.

Overall, the story is kinda cute. Plot however, like I said, sucks big time.

Is cute and fluff enough to save this novel? Probably. But it's not enough to rate this higher than 3 stars because it was way too cliche and the ending was really unsatisfying for me.

Highly recommended, Ye Peicheng is our prefect ML and Moyu our beautiful, smart, sensible FL, not op but strong female lead nonetheless. I love their interaction, their cute Baobao to add in the fluffiness moments. I hate for the story to end, I'm gonna miss this. Thank you for bringing us this wonderful novel!!!

More of a 3.4 stars than a 3.

The most major problem for me was the romance was just sort of hamfisted together, like the author didn't really know how to write a developing relationship.

The thing I absolutely hated and the reason why I won't continue reading, ... more>>
Spoiler

when the main character gave the male lead 3 reasons why she wouldn't date him, rather than having the male lead take a step back and resolve those issues before persuing a relationship with the main character, the author just skipped to them already being in a relationship and having the male lead force intimacy on the main character. It feels extremely undeserved and unreciprocated. I would have loved if he made her promise to consider him, or even straight out marry him, if he were able to make those 3 things she had a problem with disappear. Especially because those three problems were very freaking reasonable and the male lead had the ability to resolve them even if it might have been a challenge.

[collapse]

It's sort of funny, the male lead comes off as someone who's a yandere by nature but not by personality. Like he doesn't want to be because he respects his love and wants to treat them right, but it's his first instinct. It would be interesting if only the main character wasn't such a pushover who allows him to take advantage of her inexperience with relationships.

Oh, and I wish the son had more of a presence. He strangely doesn't really feel like he's part of the main character's life. There's no real conflict from having him in her life other than the fact that he exists. He's seriously adorable, but kids are, more often times than not, problematic and I wish it was shown more. In this case, I wished the author made him more curious and questioned things more.

Especially since his mom was supposedly absent for most of his life until then. He should doubt her presence more and find it hard to trust her, or maybe be more attention seeking than he is, thinking she might disappear again. Kids are cute, but they are troublesome. <<less

Mind blowing......

Really love this book.... especially the baby Luo luo... soooooo cute..????.. totally in love with him...❤❤

This novel is little supernatural/ magical, the biggest mystery in this was MC's bracelet, (how she found it, who give this etc.)

Our ML is romantic while MC is anti- romantic. ?? they are similar in their straightforward nature... love it....?

And not to forget our lead couple's cupid father Ye, he is totally awesome.....

Thank you for sharing this wonderful story, great work.... ? (both authors and translators).??

The premise seemed pretty interesting but it went down hill really fast.

Basically, it’s your typical transmigration story with nothing much going for it. It’s cute, it’s fluffy, it’s average.

what really killed it for me was her son. He has no personality. Everything he does is perfect. The only reason I chose to read this was because I wanted to see how they’d portray that- and they don’t do it well. I’m certain no two years old in history has acted that angelic or loving.

Basically, if super shoujo is your cup... more>> of tea, great! If not, it’s a waste of your time and ultimately identical to practically every other story with CEO or transmigration in the title. <<less

The child father.

I disagree when she promised her child that she will find the biological father. So if she find him, she will force him to be the father ? To be in couple with her ? (What if he has a wife already?) If not she will tell her child "I found your dad, he doesn't want you. Cheer up!" maybe I would have preferred her to say smthg like "Now you don't have a dad but mommy will fall in love and this man will become your daddy".

I really feel weird about all this importance about blood links. In many CN novel you wonder that if they're no blood relationship btw the child and ML he will not love the FL anymore and leave thinking FL is a sl*t.

I was actually wondering why Luo Luo wasn't Xing's child. Because the true ML would not have loved the child as much ? Because that would force the two ML to share the guard ? Because the FL would have experiences and so ML would think she's dirty? Or just 'cause that makes the story more fairylike? I'm not against it, just feel a bit weird to me. Especially because it's not a rare occurrence in CN novel. It's like I'm guessing the ML by looking at who is the father sometimes, rather than looking at the couple compatibility.

But I still shipped the couple and the face-slapping was just right. And I greedily read it. <<less

i have really enjoyed this story so far... but,

the story also starts incorporating Taoist things into it and in my own opinion, I think it would be better without. a lot of people may still enjoy the series despite this, or even enjoy it more—but for me it just kind of wrecked it.

This book ticks all the boxes! It has a prefect combo of fantasy (with the transmigration element and special ability), A little revenge, a cute little dumpling and romance. The FL is not s*upid, the ML is a fine af and there are no crazy misunderstandings. It’s short and sweet and fluffy! Defiantly recommend

A sugary sweet novel with all the standard goodies to make your heart throb.

a) A classic transmigrated lady oppressed by the female lead

b) Her own personal cheat to counter that green-tea-b*tch protagonist Halo of the female leaf. Plus, the cheat is not overpowered to the point that it makes the plot lazy and dependent on the ML.

... more>> c) A nice brain on her shoulders

d) An independent attitude so she doesn't go haplessly hugging the new man's thigh

e) And this is the list important... a cute kid that she's gonna do right by this time

It is a classic story with all the expected twists but it never turns up clingey or cliche. It just leaves a feeling of freshness and an "Ah, this is what these stories should be like" on your lips.

Noteworthy point: It's the first CN I've read with a child that isn't overly mature for his age, isn't a computer whiz, isn't a stocks investment guru and all that jazz. It's just a cute two to three-year old who is very cute, as silly as any other three-year old and fairly sensible for his age. Parenting skills are on point! The MC has to work to make money while raising her bond with the child, there could be white a few comparisons in real life.

Most other things are meng. So enjoy <<less

A novel to heal your weary hearts. The MC is an 18 year old girl who transmigrated to the body of a 23 year old woman who has a child. Her baby is adorable in his baby-like ways, the cutest thing is the MC's playtime with him where her original age sometimes surfaces.

As for the daddy... well I must say: don't get fooled by the title!!!

It's short but good.

3 stars.

This novel is so generic and to think I waited ever since the novel first started to be translated to read it.

It's a typical entertainment and face slapping cnovel that brings nothing new to the table.

... more>> I'm getting tired of novels where the MC replaces a side character in a novel to get revenge for how the person was treated, atp.

I love child raising novels but this novel isn't good for that either with how little she actually takes care of him.

One thing that really annoyed me was how unrealistic the mc's child acts.

I'm used to the little adult thing they normally do with children in cnovels, although it irks me stll, but this kid doesn't even have the benefit of being a five year old like most cnovels. I guess, the author thought it would make more sense for a two year old to act way more grown up than any child at that age would.🙄

I don't recommend this at all. <<less
