After coming out of a tunnel… it was pitch dark.

When I awoke, it was pitch dark.

First, I need to grasp the situation… While lost in thought, white, foggy figures appeared, and as usual, it was utterly dark, just what is happening?

When I noticed, I reincarnated!

Moreover, my gender has changed!?

God, don’t people normally get a supernatural ability when reincarnating!?

Isn’t this conversely a start with a handicap!

This is a not bad series but also not a great one, it's entertaining to some extent but there's nothing distinguishing it from the other series with similar genre. Probably good for people who likes slow pace (extremely slow pace I mean) and slice of life fluff but not good for people who want faster pace and progressive plot.

Also for those who can't stand infant phase stories and expecting to read her grown up at least into teenager:

Spoiler

probably better off not reading this series because until the end of the series she's still 4 years old.

Also the author lost all motivation to write because the book got axed due to low sales. <<less

MC starts off as a cute and interesting toddler and her (his) older siblings fighting each other (in a cute sibling rivalry way) to win the affection of their little sister is adorable, but MC got more and more creepy as the chapters go on (and not in a good psychological thriller way) ruins the whole lighthearted Slice of Life feel.

If you want to know what I mean and you don't mind some minor spoilers (Which is basically non-existent since this is a SoL with no drama and no real... more>> overarching plot) :

Spoiler

In a nutshell, this is the adventures of the reincarnated, blind, maid raping toddler and her (his) toddlercon fairy girlfriend. This author has some weird-ass fetish, the creepiest part is that the whole story is written in a lighthearted fashion so if you're not paying too much attention and are treating this as a light read you might start thinking it's OK to sexually harass maids as a grown man in the body of a female toddler.

Okay, I'm kidding about the last part (or am I? *X-Files theme intensifies*) but it doesn't change the fact that this lighthearted slice of life reincarnation story is casually having a grown man reincarnated as a blind toddler sexually harassing his maids and have them addicted to it. It's sickening and if you think this is the best part of it then you have some issues, mate, or you're just h**ny and are not thinking straight, in that case go beat your meat so you can get this sick sh*t out of your system.

Overall, I rate this 1/5 that toddler is a guy

Read ahead on raws. Slow developing story, but very cute. Almost more of a 'slice of life' feel in these earlier parts. MC does have kind of a cheat, but also has an interesting handicap. TL is doing a great job.

At the beginning, it's fresh and somewhat interesting, watching a blind character cope with her situation and her daily interactions with her family, as well as becoming OP through her rare/unique abilities. However, it eventually devolves through sexually assaulting her personal maids and into a closed off world where there is hardly any mention of anyone or anything besides the main character, her 3 sidekicks and their OPness, almost as if nothing alse existed and nothing outside this world can interact with them.

I really have to comment on this novel simply because people do not do it justice. Story focuses on growth of reincarnated 30 year old man in body of toddler girl.

Most of the novel from similar genre and with similar plot usually skim (or skip) through this portion of the growth, sometimes because author aims at more fast paced story or simply because of their inability to make such thing interesting and because of that I find this novel great and distinguishable from others.

Pace may be mistaken as slow (or... more>> even too slow) but it is just right for this kind of story, it does not feel repetitive even though story is told by year on year basis, thanks to author skimming through annual events such as birthdays and author keeping highlights of these events.

It is also one of the few where interludes and non-protagonist perspective is really great and interesting to read. It can be attributed to the fact that characters in this novel are really fleshed out, they do not feel 2-dimensional at all, even though this novel is really "fluffy", people portrayed in it have suffered their own share of hardship and drama as well as happiness.

I really have to applaud author's writing. Normally when reading about 30 year old man in body of toddler girl you would feel crept out but the author still managed to make such setting adorable and heart-warming. You can feel author attention to detail through interactions between characters, small gestures that they make, their thinking processes and actions that sprout out of it, all of it comes really nicely around in later chapters and thanks to that you get the feeling that everything was thought trough which is rare in those kind of stories as they tend to push random stuff inbetween.

And I have to congratulate current translator on great work as he kept best of Japanese language in it and beautifully conveyed it to English. Sometimes keeping romanization of Japanese in translation can be seen as unnecessary and eye hurting but in case of this novel it is absolutely not the case as it nicely portraits baby-talk and some smaller expressions simply lose their meaning in English as they do not have proper equivalents. <<less

Yea.... besides protag border-line raping his maids, he probably would have if he had a dick, because he used his powers to creat a space where no one will be able to see what he does or sense him in any way. its already confirmed that he has sexually abused the maids and altered their minds to only think about s*x. he trained them get addicted to cumming and the maids only thoughts are to please their master so that he can make them cum..... not really a light hearted... more>> story, but whatever.

Originally I enjoyed the novel because it wasnt a video game style lightnovel. Now for the past 40 chps they created a floating screen or Menu window. Its gotten to the point where they use it for everything. I am tired of the tranfered to another world with video game logic, so when this happened my interest in the light novel dropped considerably. It didnt help with 40+ chps dedicated o building the menu window and usng it as a catalyst for everything they do. Its no longer about useing magic directly, but using the “all might menu window” <<less

There's light novels, then there's writing 141 chapters about the day to day life of a 0-3 year old in a world without technology. The Last 90 or so chapters have done pretty much nothing plot wise, and can be summarized by: sexually assaulting maids, trying to teach a dog basic math, and becoming a secret Godmode protagonist.

I forced myself through a few more chapters, no changes. Last 5 chapters were basically explaining how what amounts to a magic iPad works and why it's not very good. Still a blind... more>> 3 year old with oddly oblivious caretakers, in a story that insists on a 1 chapter= 1 day progression of time with the standard 10 chapters till amazing powerup LNs are known for. So basically a blind 3 year old is now the most powerful wizard in the country and the foremost researcher and she hasn't even been to school, nor will she for several thousand chapters at this rate.

Not to mention, WHY THE HELL DOES A 3 YEAR OLD GIRL HAVE THE s*x DRIVE OF A 15 YEAR OLD BOY AND THE RESTRAINT OF A TOURETTE'S PATIENT?!?! <<less

Out of all the age regression/slice of life novels, this might be the best one, good pacing, adorable characters, and excellent translation. So why 3 stars? Well this novel suffers from "not fully translated" virus, to keep the general feel or moe. Its annoying when translators try doing this kind of stuff, I mean yes japanese language and expressions are well known but how about those people who doesnt have a single idea what a neeee neeee.. Means, this kind of translations are the blight of light novel world. The... more>> other thing is the pacing starting from chapter 40 had turn atrociously slow (?), the whole chapter is wasted on explaining the whole cast dresses and how they look and the content is just 3 to 4 paragraphs long.

UPDATE

I take it back, this is soft core p*rn, and its hella creepy reading a child not even 3 years old literally mol*sting her maid. WTF <<less

For a long time I tried to dispel the uncomfortable feeling I had when reading this novel but after a little over 100 chapters I could no longer stand it and stopped reading (I admit this was around the height of the #METOO movement and especially the stories about Weinstein reminded me of the behavior of the main character). Let me clear about the writing quality, if the author did not include the s*xual harassment from the MC than it would be a great story but the behavior of the... more>> MC really makes my stomach turns circles in disgust.

Spoiler

The reason for the uncomfortable feeling is that on one hand it's a story about a guy who transmigrates into the body of a girl who is blind from birth and he/she tries to grow up with all kind of cute things around and with the help of a very OP grandma. But on the other hand we got a story of a guy who transmigrates to the body of a just born girl and from day 1 acted like a disgusting pe*vert. Starting with making the mother feel uncomfortable giving breast feeding to he own daughter purely because of the pathetic behavior of the otaku guy inhabiting the body of small girl. The guy eventually r*pes his 4 maids one by one and the author made it seem it was something fantastic and nothing negative but I can only see it as a guy raping his maids and eventually that was the reason I stopped reading. The reason why I say that the MC r*pes his maids is the girls are forced to feel erot*c feelings, and c*m from it, without even being given the chance to avoid it and the maids are kind of forced to comply because the girl body that is occupied by a pathetic pe*verted male otaku is the noble patron that the maids work for and their live is dependent on the decisions of their noble employers. The author glosses over it by making the maids like it but it still r*pe. The second reason why I feel disgusted by reading this novel is the MC, the MC lives in a body of a girl and somehow the body of the girl does not influence how the male perveted spirit sees the world... that is so unrealistic and illogical that I can't get my head around it. A body produces hormones and hormones have a big effect on ones behavior and even how you look at events and I can't understand why the only thing that remains in the male thinking mode (e.g. <think with male reproductive organ> mode) is the spirit. It is a girl body in a world who recognizes her as a girl so why denigrate that character with giving the thinking pattern of a depraved rapist? I know it is a fantasy story but the way this character behaves makes me ashamed of the author, and I'm just a reader. One thing is for sure having a Japanese male author write a story with a female MC is an impossible combination because most male Japanese Isekai novel writers think with their productive organ and nothing else.

[collapse]

And just in case you were wondering the rating is incorrect and cause by me clicking the wrong star by accident. My real rating is off course a 1 star rating and that is solely because of how the author has made the personality of the MC in something really disgusting <<less

I really love this novel! I guess the reason why is because it has a well-established common sense that the author does not break. It is very realistic in that regard. The novel is written from the perspective of a baby. The guy from our world is reincarnated as a baby girl in a different world. The novel shows the grows of a baby, how she adjusts and learns. The reader is kept in the dark and knows only what the heroine knows. As such, we grow together with her... more>> as we learn more about the world around us. I think this is one of the main reason why this novel just makes you want to keep reading. I like that novel keeps thing realistic from biological and common sense point of view. As baby grows, she has to learn how to properly speak, walk, move. You can see all the appropriate stages of growth for a baby. Even she has experience from a previous life and high comprehension ability as a result, she is still bound by the laws of nature.

There is no drama or action since it's all about a baby. It is a cute story about the growth of a little girl. It is very slow paced with a lot of inner thoughts. It is surprising that such a slow paced novel is entertaining to such degree. It is pretty funny and you can't help to want to learn more about the world together with the heroine. <<less

Decided to drop this one, I was really expecting to see her reach childhood but I realized that this entire story takes place during her baby years and it incredibly tedious to read. Was constantly hoping for a time skip but nope. Wanted a slightly more faster paced story then this im disappointed. Everything fine with this story but its honestly not very engaging.

At first I thought it would be a quick paced story, but in the contrary, it is quite slow. The story focus on the childhood of our MC.

This is not my type of novel, this is for you who search fluffy-feel-self-mumbling type of MC. If you like something soft after you read some hardcore sad*st novel, this is for you.

Cute, fluffy, heartwarming and light hearted story. Just look at that cover and decide whether you want to read something as cute as this or not. She's generally expressionless but I can just imagine her cute smile...

Edit: aw they changed the picture, I was talking about the one with her in a cute bunny outfit. Still cute either way.

Spoilers ahoy!

Spoiler

The story starts off like quite a few reincarnation stories, with the MC (a grown man in his thirties) dying and waking up in the body of a newborn girl. However, Lily has 1 handicap and 2 cheat! She's blind but she can see magic and she's divine levels of cute.

Right, entire sections of the story are based around the premise that Lily is angelically cute, more so than just any toddler. It's actually pretty silly, and I almost rolled my eyes at some of the actions taken by other characters in response to that cuteness, but I suppose it's not enough to take away enjoyment of the series.

That said, even 120+ chapters in, and Lily is still barely three years old. It's not that the chapters are short, but the story is unusually "slow" compared to most reincarnation stories. Not in the sense that developments are drawn out and take forever to wrap up, but because this story covers Lily's entire childhood, without any significant time-skip. It just continues at a very steady pace, often only glossing over a couple weeks or at most a month or two's worth of time.

And yet, I can't say I found the story boring or anything; it's a very sweet slice of life with some sugary yuri on the side, so if you're into that, this'll probably be right up your alley. There does seem to be a lot of groundwork laid out for possible future "arcs", so I'm looking forward to that, even if it'll take ages to approach that point. I'm actually surprised at how the author is able to keep the story so interesting for so long, when the main character is a baby, but this is probably thanks to Lily being such a sweet character.

This is diabetes, the story. Jokes aside, this really is a web novel full of fluffy good feelings. You have your standard 30-ish year-old reincarnator but instead of the usual drivel we have him start right at the moment of birth - as a super cute white-haired blind girl. From there he (or rather, she) faces off against an enemy just as dangerous as any isekai end-game boss, the logical limitations of being 0-1 years old. Helping him/her is a wonderful cast consisting of her family members all being loving... more>> and kind to her. All throughout she struggles from her from-birth blindess and practices magic on the side as her family members dote on her.

There are two plots generally going on at the same time, you have the OP MC mage plot as the MC practices magic under everyone's noses, and your growing-up plot as the MC slowly experiences life as a beloved baby girl born to an extremely wealthy and loving family. The latter is the highlight of this novel and its best bit, his aunt, elder brother and sister, and mother and father are all extremely well-developed and have heart-warming and tear-jerking backstories to match. The sheer love they have for their youngest family member (the MC) just brings tears to the eyes as they unceasingly express their (familial) love for her. <<less

It's a very unique setting, with the story being told from a blind person's PoV, the world building and characterization is pretty deep, partially thanks to the extremely slow pace (be warned).

That's nice and all, and the story would be pretty intresting and heartwarming if the story was told from someone else's PoV (albeit the interaction with the maids would still be pretty wierd and unnecessary fanservice), too bad it's from the baby's PoV so we know he's actually a reincarnated old man, so all those interactions are straight up... more>> s*xual assault; and I don't have anything against ecchi or hentai/p*rn, but the context really makes it unbearably creepy to me.

If you can get over or ignore this "small" detail (and like slow paces stories), then this is an exellent novel. But personally I can't continue reading. <<less

I really want to love this novel, It starts off with an amazing plot and well written characters with a perfect slice of life story. But it slowly devolves into her sexually harassing her maids and using iPads made of magic power. In the current section I'm in there hasn't been any story development in the last 30 or so chapters and it has been incredibly laborious to read.

In summary, read maybe the first 100 chapters, they're really fun. But the rest starts to suck.

its interesting, its told a story about a blind girl who reincarnated from other world but in different gender, not only that, her memory also resurface in a very early age

its honestly interesting, especially the idle talk chapter where the story told from other person perspective, about how around her see and handle her as a fragile noble handicapped girl.

but even so, unfortunately I need to give it 4 star for 1 reason, its too damn slow

I'm in chapter 150 and shes still 3 years old, and all these chapters... more>> mostly is what I consider as padding, lot of expositional magical theory and lot of doing reestablish something that already established previously... for some reason <<less

It's a heartwarming Novel, that's all there is to it.

The Male MC reincarnated as a baby girl. The story is slow, up to the recent chapter, she's not even 3 years old yet, so unlike the normal Japanese novel where the MC resurrects as a girl, becomes 10 years old in a chapter or 2 and still say stuff like "No, I'm a man in mind, although I've become a girl". The MC accepts it as is and just deals with it, to the point you'll forget he was a... more>> man that resurrected.

The MC's previous self was only mentioned a few times, so you don't have to worry about imagining his previous self, in fact even when it is mentioned, you probably can't imagine it, since the Baby MCs' presence is so strong. So the 'Gender Bender" tag is correct, but wrong at the same time, since the Previous MC's gender is hardly mentioned.

Now that's explained, I know most of you are hesitating to read it because of that tag, or because of the fact that a Japanese "man" resurrected as a girl and are worried that they'll act like "Nooo~ I'm a boy, I swear but in a girls body, nooo" Well, don't worry, none of it will happen. I guarantee it.

As for my ranking, it's 4 instead of 5. Mainly because of the pacing, although it had its charm, but the pacing is way too slow. Being a toddler, the MC's world is small, Sometimes it takes a whole chapter to explain 1 thing, when it could be done with just a paragraph or two. But it's still worth 4/5. There are plenty others that rate it as 5, most likely because "cute is justice"

Do I recommend it? For heart warming story a big YES, but for your typical japanese resurrection story with conflics here and there, No, I can not recommend it. There hasn't been a decent conflict, I think the only conflict the MC had to deal with was potty training and that her "special someone" had to leave for a time. <<less
