Some say he is the bad apple in a basket, that he’s rotting everything around him with disgrace and corruption.

Some say he is the biggest scum of the South Zhanbu Continent, that he’s colluding with the dark sects to cheat, steal, and commit all manner of atrocities.

Some say he is the most wanted playboy. “Lock your daughters at home to keep Fang Xing away!”

To all of those people, “That’s right, I am that big rotten apple. Any problem with that?”

This brand of anti-hero is a young orphan with poor prospects and nothing more than the keepsakes of his uncles. He plots, schemes, and orchestrates all manner of villainy in his quest for power and revenge, unafraid to live precariously and make enemies out of those he really should not.

This is exactly the kind of anti-hero, shameless, pe*verted and cursing MC I didnt know I needed. Fantastic!

Note: The author has some troubles establishing exactly how shameless/heroic he wants his MC, but after the first ~100 chapters it stays consistent and is really fun to read.

The only thing this plundered was my free time. I quite liked the way the MC advanced and retreated when necessary and that showed that he wasn't hotheaded nor brainless. BUT you will find that the MC could have avoided all this situations in the first place by licking his wounds and silently cultivating to fight another day. Instead he further complicates the matter thereby reaching a point where both parties can't exist under the same skies, under these circumstances the MC stumbles upon some treasure or an item and... more>> advances his cultivation level then defeats the other party. This happens numerous time to the point of the MC being drunk on this repetitive situations and carrying with his actions, and me as the reader somehow sided with the villains hoping the MC would get hit with reality and not advance his cultivation level at the time he needs it the most, so that he can suffer and learn to not offend whoever he likes.

Even at the age nearing 30 the MC is still that ten year old bandit chasing little girls. Sigh...

The author's choice of romance is quite sickening, I am not a fan of Loli's (kids). The author even did something more sickening which was:

Spoiler

The MC killed two of some little girls sect brothers in-front of her and one of their heads actually landed on the little girls arms. These were her sects brothers she relied on and even grew up with, to the point of thinking of them as her real brothers. Her hatred towards the MC cannot be quelled but this little girl later meets the MC whilst he had another face, so she did not know who this person really was and MC uses this to get close to her even while knowing her hatred towards his real self. This little girl develops feelings towards the person the MC is pretending to be, not knowing who was underneath the mask which was quit sickening for the author to do this.

The MC is quite rational with bandit like personality, hence the name is plundering the heavens. A not so well known great novel. The kind of novel one will pick up after reading first 10-15 chapters. Worth a try, rather than wasting time being patient with mediocre reads.

quite good novel. I enjoyed it so much. Normally, I'd read 200 chapters and take a rest (get bored) for a week then continue but the novel was so good that I didn't get bored at all! I thought I finally found something good, but these golden turtle-egg bastards of translators stopped translating! Hiatus their uncles! I'm so infuriated..

Honestly, this is one of my favorites. Seems generic, but somehow it's different. It really captures your interest and emotions.

Love the MC, he's like the upgraded 'perfect' version of Shi Hao from Perfect World that isn't annoying. He's really fun and awesome, a little bandit. The side characters are lovely too. I love their interactions with the MC, and they aren't forgettable.

MC's powering up quickly, but not ridiculously. His 'pet' is interesting and not annoying too.

EDIT: One of the most fresh/unique of its genre, but it got dropped????? What.

Recommended: Yes. This review's short, but I quite enjoy this novel and in my opinion it should be more popular than it currently is.

Basically, the MC is a hilarious a*shole child raised by bandits who stumbles and robs his way to fame and fortune. The novel's pretty consistently fast-paced and interesting with decent enough world-building and characters.

If you've read The Strongest System, PtH is comparable but has a slightly more evil protagonist and relatively better pacing.

A very fun story, with an interesting anti-hero. Definitely worth reading. Fans of Perfect World and other stories with a mischievous MC will enjoy this story as well.

I'm on the latest translated chapter and so far it's rating is 5 to me. The story is the usual Chinese novel op character but it has it own touch that makes it a very good read. The character stay true to his personality and hasn't done anything out of the normal that would contradict himself. One of the things I hate the most about Chinese novel is the author making the character do something that's not in his character or just plain out s*upid to progress the story. So... more>> far this hasn't happen yet and the novel itself is quite humorous to read. I would recommend people picking this up. I honestly prefer this over A Will Eternal. Both story is quite funny with the MC but this one doesn't make the main character so dumb just for laughs. <<less

Novel is great. The main problem with antihero novels lately (in my opinion) is that they are all overpowered. Theres never any real threat. However, it's completely different in this novel. Whilst there are extremely satisfying moments when the main character reveals his power, it's not excessive. Expanding on that note, the main character spends a good portion of his time fleeing, and the author definitely puts boundaries on the main characters powers.

However, while the main character is enjoyable there is absolutely no character development. His personality never changes. The... more>> only real "character development" is when he harasses some women so much they turn into masochists and seem to fall into love with him.

Last negative note, some of the women he basically betrayed or did really cruel things seemingly never make an appearance.
Spoiler

The main character killed a royal prince in front of his little sister and I don't recall even seeing a reaction besides a single one liner. It'd be nice if they y'know, actually expressed hatred.

Overall

- Novel is great and refreshing.
- Not as many cliches as other novels
- Main character is ruthless.
- Novel definitely needs some polishing with the amount of loose ends that end up appearing.
- It's a good read. <<less
