Ok, I know I haven’t read much yet but I really enjoy it and find it entertaining, so I’ll probably be finishing it till the end.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the reason I’m writing this one is to comment about the translation. I know that translating is a hard job and I completely appreciate the translator’s efforts, but they just seem to change the context too much in relation to idioms and descriptions. I can understand that there are many readers who don’t understand Chinese idioms (I didn’t either... more>> in the beginning) but it’s a much common practice for translators to write the idiom as it is THEN explain it in the footnotes, but the translator writes phrases that have the same meaning and then mentions in the footnotes that it’s an idiom (most times, if not all times, they don’t even say what the idiom was).

I know this isn’t a major thing and you can still basically read the novel as it is, but I find it annoying as most times, these idioms are really interesting and funny and can fit in better with the context (the Chinese language has many many MANY idioms and they’re considered a major part of its literature). The replaced phrases sometimes deviate from the meaning too much, especially in the cases where the translator themselves don’t seem to understand the idiom.

Again, I would like to express my appreciation to the translator for their work, and I truly enjoy the story. This comment was mainly just me venting about the idioms, but in relation to the story, it’s quite a good read, so I recommend reading this for whoever had the patience to read all this. <<less

THIS IS AMAZING????????

I personally liked bls that have more action scenes than the romantic scenes and this... this really blew up I— I LOVE THEM

first off, I’m in love with MOST of the characters like... even the colleague cus they’re wholesome, smart, funny, AND VERY RELIABLE.
The MC and ml, don’t even need to ask, they’re amazing together, a literal powercouple. Like, real REAL powercouple.
The plot building, so so good I wanted to cry because.. damn.. people say it’s draggy but noooo, sure there’s some part with a liiiillll bit too much info tr*sh but, BUT, the pacing is actually really good??

The action scenes, the arcs, the subtle romances in the beginning until they papapa, I’m in love with every chapters.

The best thing about this novel is how the MC is pretty cool about his power.. He didnt whine and he actually become cooler when each chapter past.. The ML is the typical seme ML

  • storyline: 7/10 (og wanted to give a 8 but oh well)
  • chtrs: 8/10 (MC is my fav fr he so funny bro)
  • overall: 8/10
  • MC = og was fashion designer turned into a voltage power person and wrks under govt, very smart, cunning, cute, badass *pours in all the praises
  • about MC: well as u can see he is very chaotic and funny he has to keep rescuing the ML cos he always in trouble LMAOO and somehow alwys ends up in a dangerous situation like?? Anyways no one is allowed to hate on our MC cos he cute as helll and so badass
  • ML = cold, stone face (in reality very chaotic and funny person match well with MC), doting to MC, his frnds are very funny too, sad childhood, business smartie
  • about ML: he was the one tht pursued the MC it was a bit rushed ngl but he was down bad brooo LMAOOO I mean if I was him I wld hve married the MC straight away HAHAHAH also his friends are all so funny and unserious too lmao
  • MC & ML: very cute tgether, unstoppable smary duo, work well together, very cunning
  • (-) points: very draggy frm ch 90 the author ruined the whole vibe fr and like the ML gettin into toooo many incidents tht MC in just for the interaction is not it well cos they are strong as they are also so this forcing part was unnecessary it got kind of boring cos of this
  • (+) points: funny, enjoyable read good super hero styled also? And also stereotype breaking shou thank god

it was A GOOD STORYYYYY. The main couple have their own strengths. They complement each other. There are many funny scenes. The story was wide China to international going back to China. Many superpowers will be introduced. Although ML is rich and powerful, he's just a human haha. He'll die the first few chaps if MC didn't save him. But that did not hinder ML. I've read this story a few chapters from last year but because it wasn't impressive so I didn't read it. However, because I ran out of reading fantasy, I finally read this novel and was surprised because the scene was quite tense! I thought this story would be soft, warm and lacking action but it turns out wowww amazing. This story reminds me of the novel "Post Training Notice: National First-Class Registered Exorcist", quite tense and sexy. Although this story is quite soft than PTN: NFCRE. RECOMMENDED, I like the... more>> MC the character has completely changed but I don't really like ML because the writer made him too like Gary stu: very rich (although not anymore), very handsome and very charming. I hate that, especially if he is close to men or women, even though it is a job demand. If only the MC had an ex-girlfriend/boyfriend, maybe that would make me satisfied. The downside to this story is that there are a number of things that are not resolved. <<less

i hope this is translated until the end because it's really interesting so far. I like his power but there are a lot of unanswered questions about it (how does he stabilize it? How does he know how to stabilize? Will he grow stronger and if so than how does he do it? Why did he suddenly get this power?). I'm sure some if not all will be answered in later chapters. I get the feeling that this is going to be one of those x-men type stories (or Chinese... more>> quick wear zombie arc) where a select part of the population ends up developing abilities, though so far there's been no explained trigger (no evil comet or meteor, no world wide flu epidemic, etc). Looking forward to more chapters!
