I, Kaya Minafuchi, a Japanese high school girl, was summoned to another world by its god, in order to protect it. Their god had summoned me to defend this world, and to the people that summoned me, my reply was of course:

“I don’t care about that. It’s your world, so do something about it yourselves.”

So far it feels like the most realistic depiction of someone getting summoned against their will. The MC stays super angry after they get summoned and they do not get over it immediately.

Another few points on its favor is that it also addresses some of the differences in common sense between the MC and the people of the other world, and why she doesn't get killed immediately despite refusing to fulfill the role they wanted her to do.

Sadly it seems like it updates too slowly and there's no one translating... more>> anything anymore. <<less

I'm really upset by the fact that no one has come to pick this up. The first chapter is great to be honest, I've always been a fan of MCs that straight up said "no" because geez I wouldn't go about risking my life for a world I neither care for and has been kidnapped by. I really want to know what happens next. It'd be hilarious if she really held that grudge to the point of actively doing the opposite of defending.

I was expecting something MUCH better when I read the promising title. I figured the MC would be summoned to another world and would immediately defy the deity / people that snatched her from Earth.

It's a premise with a lot of potential, so I was wondering where the writer would go with it. Unfortunately this story is just a confusing and infuriating mess.

We're treated to endless paragraphs of the MC's fruitless rage and self-pity, and the other characters are bizarre, unreasonable caricatures. There might be more to why they are... more>> the way they are but after a few chapters it's hard to care.

The further you get, the clearer it becomes that this story isn't going to give you what you were expecting when you read the title / blurb.

Could have been so much better.

Now... the context isn't quite the same, but if you want to see someone venting their rage on the people who summoned them, check out Nidome No Yuusha. It's much closer to the spirit of the title than this story is. <<less

This novel is certainly a different take on the sent to another world trope. The MC gets super mad for being summoned, although some people find her a bit angsty and annoying but her reaction is understandable. Shes essentially a child who is forcibly constripted to fight for an unknown world, expected to die for it and with no prior warning to even say goodbye to her family. Kind of messed up. Realistically I'd expect the average person to either breakdown crying, accept it initally because they think its cool... more>> but eventually realise the actual situation or lash out in anger (our mc). She does somewhat calm down a bit after a couple chapters though and there are some interesting developments.

I have a positive impression, the MC is distinctive and its certainly not boring me to death like other world summoning novels. Ill be keeping up with it. <<less

Went back and forth over this one until deciding on a solid "meh". I'll review again when more chaps are out.

As much as I love isekai stories, I do wonder why more Summoned aren't livid at being kidnapped. She is utterly furious. Outright b*tchy. This is real to me. It's not likable, but it's real. On top of being kidnapped, she doesn't have Cheats, and she can't haul out her godly equipment and years of training under a master martial artist distant relative and exact retribution.

It wasn't *fun* to read... more>> about her situation. There are no vicarious thrills, but it was relatable and interesting, up until the point she met the God and

threw up because she's apparently allergic to ikemen for no good reason

And then she proceeds to the kitchens to whine about how she can't get rice...

So an interesting concept and relatable character couldn't hold out in the face of cheap comedy and that s*upid Japanese food trope.

I don't hate it, but I swear if she stumbles on a hot spring or accidentally catches the God in the middle of changing in the next few chapters, I'm adding "tragedy" to the tag list. <<less

It's just sad how interesting it sounded like (the title) but as I read on all I see is her doing nothing other than pitying herself while she could have resolved herself to find try to find a way back to earth.

I really like this! My only complaint is that the author hasn't updated since 2017 TTATT

I feel like the way the MC reacts to the whole being-summoned-a-crappy-world-against-her-will thing like a normal person. She gets mad for like a day or two, and then keeps being mad, but more cold planning escape/revenge and less raging.

Spoiler

I don't mind that she doesn't really try to escape, cause they already like tied her up and magically branded her in the first chapter when she raged and tried to get them to bring her back. And they have people guarding her, so escaping is probably impossible right now.

I dunno I feel like this is the most realistic portrayal of this situation I've seen so far. She's a normal girl, and the only cheat ability she's shown so far is a shield that stopped someone from trying to kill her.

I hate that the updates end right after she's reached the cold rage part and started planning on how to get out of this situation though. What little there was of that seemed really interesting.

This could've been awesome IMO. It's just get's annoying that we listen for about 10 or 11 chapters of the MC whining. I was also under the impression that the MC would be more rebellious.

I do kind of wish the MC had some power behind her and isn't afraid to beat people into submission. Cause the MC might act all mad and what not. But I know that this is the type of story where she wouldn't even hit someone.

Chapter 12 is right where it got interesting but that's the... more>> last chapter before it was dropped by the TL. I do kind of like the Goddess chick though. Based off of initial impressions, If this was a Yuri novel, Then I'd ship both the Goddess and the MC together.

Just a disappointment, in the end, to be honest. <<less
