With a heart full of determination to sacrifice myself, I decided to assassinate the Crown Prince from the neighboring country. However, when I woke up the next day, I discovered that I had transformed into him, and him into me.

Besides the feud between our countries, we had to confront numerous other problems – for instance, how we intended to bathe, how we intended to use the toilet, and most importantly, every morning, when I woke up, I always feel slightly embarrassed.

He wasn’t awkward in the slightest, just that he frequently forgot that I am a woman.

A somewhat short novel that gives you cute fluff without dragging things out. Love these!

Our MC is a neglected martial arts expert, tomboy, poor scholar and plain Jane, who is princess of a nation that's about to be extinguished by our ML's empire. In order to save her country, she is requested to assassinate ML to put an end to the attacks. She attempts to, but obviously fails and bumped head with ML, causing their souls to switch. (As a reader, I must say, I think the author handled that... more>> scenario pretty well and didn't drag it out, though I suspect the credit also goes to our ML who is a genius but aloof, in a demented, psychopath kinda way.) Our MC and ML accepted their fate with reluctance when ML agrees to stop the war on her country (in exchange for her cooperation) and she agrees. The problem with their collaboration is that she (or he now) needed a reason to exist in enemy territory, so ML devises a plan for them to marry so that he can stay.

Of course in the beginning, they fight like cats and dogs and always try to one-up each other with snarky comments and jabs. (IMHO, I think the MC is defeated more often than she wins, but that's expected since our ML is a shameless genius.) But over time, their relationship develops and an easy companionship begins to grow. He is fond of her s*upidity (lol) because it makes him laugh and she appreciates his idiosyncrasies along with his prowess in political tactics (though she also thinks he's demented.) Over time this transforms into love and it happens pretty steadily.

The thing I really enjoy about this novel is the consistency. I enjoy the fact that our MC remains level-headed when she's in court acting in his stead. Lots of female MCs in novels like these start getting shrilly and manipulative when they hold power, but not our MC. She stays cool as a cucumber and mostly defer to him when it comes to court affairs and never veers off from that track. Our ML is also forever jerkish (but I will call that part of his charm.)

The only thing that can be improved is one particular plot arc which involved worms, face masks, zombies... yeah it got real bizarre. Thankfully it was a plot device and ended almost as quickly as it began.

There are no trigger issues in this novel, lots of laughs and a sweet story in general. I do think the ending leaves a bit to be desired, but it satisfies and ties in most loose ends pretty well. <<less

One of the funniest novels I've read! There's a lot of awkward scenes, but somehow the lead girl is so thickheaded and blunt about situations that I feel like it's mostly ML that's suffering. That's even more hilarious because ML is the cool type that never loses his image (unless he's around her). I hope someone comes around and continues translating this novel.

This novel is so funny, I can't even begin...

The plot is simply too interesting. It began like a typical gender bender romance stories with them eventually be forced to be in a relationship and spend time together. Yet, the author managed to bring out the MC's oblivous character to man-woman relationship as well as ML's struggle to deal with 'women' issues so matter-of-factly that it left the readers giggling all the way through.

Imagine how the emperor of a country eventually got forced to experience being in periods and pregnant....

Pretty hilarious body-swapping romcom.

Every time I thought a joke was getting old, something new/different happens and the book goes back to being very entertaining, so I enjoyed it the whole way.

There's a big contrast between the super "modern" comedic moments and the extremely brutal "ancient times" situation, but sometimes that contrast is what makes comedy work better.

MC is the commoner's favorite: simple-minded, but very good at martial arts archetype. ML is the cliche'd black-belly/ruthless, good-at-everything-genius type.

The best part was totally when the ML offered to switch bodies with the MC because childbirth is so painful/awful. Much kudos to this ML.

The story is quite funny and I think that's the highlight of this story. The author should just stick to romcom story till the end so I don't know why she added unnecessary tragic love story from the side characters who didn't even affect the main story.

Does MC get pregnant in the end? And do they successfully switch bodies again before delivery time? I want to know more about these things but the author never mention it till the end. Well, I guess I just leave it to my imagination then.

I love that this novel was mainly about our 2 main characters the prince and the princess. I love their interactions so much. Give the prince a chance. He has his own reasons for doing things his ways. I wasn't sure if I was going to like him, but I love both of them so much. The princess is strong and very reliable. I thought there might not be much meat to the story since its so short, but it is so much more than some long ass novels. Really... more>> recommend this. <<less

Absolutely love it! It may seem serious at first but its actually not as it is filled with laughter-inducing moments and leaving you with butterflies in your stomach.

There's only a few political intrigue and it isn't that serious- which is very much to my likings.

Its been a while since I've read a novel set in ancient and politics that actually made me laugh! The romance came naturally and there's no 'im shy' moments and scene where one avoids the other just because one is embarrassed. They dealt with it like... more>> adults. So plus points for that!

There's no real living antagonist and even if there is- they're dealt with quite quickly (and in a comedic way).

there's this one scene where I almost threw my phone. But what you read isn't actually what will happen. Its all god and of course a happy ending!

Hillariuos, this novel a guarantee for you to have a good laugh in almost every chapter.

Our MC, the FL was a righteous and kind hearted princess but also naive, fortunately with high martial art skill, but she also has low EQ. Our ML was a cunning, smart and scheming prince, that's why they completed each other.

Although this story change to a few translators but they did exceptionally good job especially the last translator MiraiSaesang.

Such a cute story. The relationship between the FL & ML grows the whole novel. FL is straightforward honest character, while the ML is a cool headed, likes to be in control guy. Their relationship growth is so sweet, & surrounded by funny situations. Their relationship also develops at a steady believable state. The reader is immersed in the main characters lives, which makes it hard to finish the story & leave them behind.

Really recommend this story, such a heartwarming romantic story.

This is a hilarious gender bender romcom.

The author nails the comedy and knows how to balance it with an intriguing plotline that keeps you hooked and wantingmore. So many funny hijinks ensue because of the body swap, and it's definitely the highlight of the novel.

The romance progresses naturally, and it's sweet and fluffy the whole way through.

... more>> The pacing of this novel is really well done. It doesn't drag, yet it knows when to slow down for those fluffy romantic moments.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this for people who enjoy romance, comedy, and gender bender. This novel excels in all three departments.

The writing isn’t the best, but overall it was hilarious. The characters will do or say the most unexpected things, especially when they’re trying to dig a pit for the other (in their switched identities). ML does run circles around FL, but she gets him a couple of times.

The two of them end up the better because of their relationship, which is a good thing for the other countries 😂

This novel is primarily a comedy novel, so its best not to expect some over-the-top convoluted plot. Everything is happening for our amus**ent and if you are not amused then you are in the wrong place.
The female lead being dense can be a bit annoying, but this series has the best male lead I have read so far in these kinds of novels.
Read this novel if you are looking for lighthearted amus**ent.

Hilarious and short! Very light with twists and surprises leaving you 😮!

We have a dense FL and an overbearing ML BUT THEY'VE SWAPPED! Just hilarious!! Really pretty good! And yep ML cares for the FL 🥰

Fyi: It's big plus that the world building in this is adequate... I mean I know this is an Action (xianxia-ish) novel and would not be big on rules and etiquette but there are some historical CNs where you know they're not supposed to act like that.. Thanks to the translator for the job well... more>> done! <<less

Completely agree with Itssalwa's review. The early 35 chapters are good and entertaining. After that, it is boring. Like the story progress is slow and it seems like filler (become slice-of-life story) for me.

This was such a good c-novel! It was hilarious, and I loved it. I wanted to read something light to take a break from another long novel that I had been reading, and this was perfect!

The MC and ML have the funniest relationship and the body switching makes it even funnier. The novel's main focus is on the relationship between them. They both have their own perks and flaws, which they both make very clear to each other lol.

This was really hilarious and fun to read. If you're lookong for something serious, heavy and/or something thats cliche free, skip it.

But if you're lookong for something to kill time then this one is for you. Ive been reading a lot of completed chinese novel and this is one of the few that I actually finished from start to end. Thank you translators for this gem!

This novel was short ad sweet. The ML is a very good ML His lines and actions shows how deeply he feels and how grateful he was that she came to assassinate him and he had the chance to marry her. Plus, the man experiencing woman things is awesome hahaha. I recommend this novel for a nice, light, romantic read.
