In the place where everyone gathered for an engagement announcement, suddenly – “I’m breaking this engagement!” was declared. Saya’s childhood friend tearfully exposed her as a bully. Believing this lie, Saya’s parents announced that they were cutting all ties with her.

Saya, who was suddenly hit with these three strikes all at once, was then adopted by an influential house that showered her in care, until the time she would know what true love is.

…Or not. Things wouldn’t happen that easily.

Why might that be? “Why won’t the scenario move along properly!? I see, you’re a glitch aren’t you!!” It’s because this delusional woman (heroine) is around.

As she dodges the attacks of such a heroine, please join Saya until she is able to reach her happy end.

※The otome game settings are only on the heroine side.

I like the premise. It's probably safe to assume we are reading on the love rival's shoe but without our MC (the love rival) being a reincarnation or having any previous life memories. It's a fresh change for a start. for now I rate it 5 stars, but may change in the future after more chapters are translated

It was so disappointing it was worse than unreadable, it had me wishing it was unreadable so I wouldn't have finished it.

The first chapter is nearly unreadable. The author is doing weird things with punctuation formatting and style that make it very very difficult to read or even want to. Toss in the fact the first translator is MTLing and doesn't have a clue how to correct, you wind up with something that's practically shouting at you "RUN AWAY".

After the first chapter the translators are engaging in heavy rewriting and... more>> much improved translation that take the story up to readable and pretty interesting, up to a point. The characters kill it though. The MC is toooooooooo nice for this world. No spoiler here (the outline is in the summary details first two chaps), she's been plotted against by her best friend, her fiance, her brother, her father, her mother but bears none of these people the least resentment or active hatred. It makes her perspective uninteresting.

After the opening the story more or less meanders around while what should be good setups go unused, and there is little examination of the social interaction. Finally you get to the end, and it's not only horrible, it's a choice of multiple horrible endings. Just incredibly disappointing all around.

Bottom Line: RUN AWAY. <<less

  1. The age gap is pretty crazy. With previous fiancee, the age gap is 6 years. I really think it's possible for the ex fiancee to just break the engagement because of the age difference. There's no need for the whole bullying scandal and what not, especially since the game heroine is going to be adopted anyway. With the current love interest the age gap is even higher.... I don't mind age gap, but could they at least have the MC turn into adult first? 14 years old paired with 23 is just....
  2. The character detail for MC is too op, it become ridiculous. The set her as 12 years old who already completed uni degree, then within two years she already become one of the best in self defense, aikido, and kenpo.
If you ignore the point above its another b rate shoujo novel, so those who like light read might love this.

This seems promising. It’s not the usual story where the MC uses her knowledge of the “game” but she uses her own wit instead! She’s already OP being herself. Also, she gets some smart people by her side to help her.

I’m really looking forward to the updates!

Just no. It's written in a very confusing manner in the first part. The rest of it is just fixing a different pick me girl as opposed to the og pick me girl with an adult. A full grown adult with a child. Just nope. There was really no need to make her 12. They could have just made her 17 as well. She could have just finished her college education early by that time if it was that necessary that she's the most intellectual amongst the normal plebians. The... more>> only part that I actually enjoyed was

the extra where the adopted brother does a mu*der su*cide with og FL after the mom & dad killed themselves

Apart from that? Nope. I'm left with such a bad taste in my mouth after this.

The premise was so good, execution was horrible. <<less

Actually, the premise was quite interesting but unfortunately, the execution was done terribly. The writing style was a bit confusing to read and the chemistry between FL and ML wasn't built well enough. And what made it worse, the author made 2 versions of ending where FL ended up with different ML so it made the ending less impactful.

Spoiler

The first ending, FL ended up with her adoptive brother, Chiharu. They had a quite large age gap (when FL was still 12 yo, ML was already 26 yo so they had 14 years age gap). It's a bit uncomfortable to read though because Chiharu already fell in love with FL when she was still a child while he was already a fully adult.

The second ending, FL endep up with her childhood friend, Sakuya. Compared to Chiharu, FL and Sakuya only had 7 years age gap. They had better chemistry because they're already friends for so many years so I'm a bit surprised that FL didn't end up with him in the official ending.

The premise is great. The story is the classic otome game but modern version. MC is the daughter of a thriving distant branch of a prestigious family, likewise with her fiance. MC is as what we call people here, "gifted" who since young shows prodigy potential as she can easily learn stuff faster. Unfortunately, this was seen as weird by her family and if it was not for her marriage potential they would have thrown her -which what happend when said fiance broke it up.

I'm not puting spoiler as I... more>> think this part is merely a setting and understood to be the premise of the story.

Our story starts after, when one of the main prestigious family adopted her without her family or ex-fiance's family aware of their actual status as they were more focus on fixing the relationship between their family by having the game heroine adopted by MC's biological family and thus keeping the engagement.

The reason why I'm rating this 3 despite the good premise is due to the initial awful translation, the translator did their best but it still unreadable. Couldn't understand the family background thanks to it.

Then, I don't like that for some scenes to push forward, they introduce obviously forced scene. Such as the age gap difference. I don't even know why they have to push that MC's young when nothing much would have change.

Mentioning about it, the age gap is real, so don't ready if you don't like age gap. Child rearing could also be considered as existing if you read the alternative version if MC ended up with 2ML. <<less
