First of all I don't know why but the translated chapters aren't shown on novelupdates. While here it shows that there are only 6 translated chapters, on their site u can find the chapters until 103. The translation is pretty good so it's not because it's MTL or anything like that.

This is one of the novels I waited so long to be translated that I kept checking every few months to see if there any new chapters so was really pleasantly suprised when I saw 100 translated chapters.

When I started... more>> this novel it seemed like a breath of fresh air and it was, till a certain point. It seemed like I finally found a real gangster MC, he used sneak attacks, cheated and didn't have a problem with showing who was the boss to servants who mocked him, not the usual "i need to lay low so I let them walk all over me". I think it was in the first chapters that he smashed a servant's head with a brick because he was rude and it kept going like that for a while and it still has plenty of moments like that but at a certain point being a gangster became all about brotherhood, righteousness, helping the innocent and not about smashing shops if didn't pay the protection fee like in the beginning. Still a pretty nice read that still has moments like that but I'm afraid in the future the author will change the MC from the gangster he is into another boring MC like lots of novels have. He already started to preach to other characters about friendship and how he's a gangster so he will never betray someone or go back on his word; the usual crap and he somehow touches them all with his sincerity and his mindset. I just hope it won't become one of those novels where he tries to change to world, he already did it with his city. He made a play about how being a gangster is all about brotherhood and it changed everyone, ruffians are now turning a new leaf, to embarrassed to act like before, shops that were upset because gang members ate without paying now give the food for free because it changed how they look at the gang.

But leaving all that aside it still has plenty of good and funny moments, like his constant bickering with another character that is pretty funny, he's not shy with girls or and he's a pretty much a go-getter when it comes to that, even sleeping with a madame of a brothel because she was a milf. As as I said before it still has plenty of gangster moments that makes the fights more fun, even taking a enemy's family hostage and threatening him with it and many others.

So a pretty interesting novel that is worth a read. <<less
