The premise and beginning of the story was pretty promising, and it seemed like actual progress was going to happen... but the author seems to think his writing is a lot better than it actually is. The protagonist acts like a complete buffoon despite his absurd overpoweredness and so many unfunny 'gag' type things occur that add nothing to the story at all and only play on overused and unfunny tropes.

It would be a miracle if the story ended up being half-decent past this point.

It gets really annoying how the author keeps recycling the same material every chapter with how the MC always acts and thinks. It feels like fillers in order to make required word amounts for essays. Many pointless stuff is written that I would try to skim to where the story actually moves forward. And he keeps being a lil bit*h about charm and if he is even human. Also is very rude and not funny.

Review as of Ch.19.

I dropped it, mostly due to the technical aspects. Personally, I find the writing style to be like "My Father-In-Law is Lu Bu!", wherein the writing is amateurish and resorting to exclamation marks to tell us emotions. Not the fault of the translator (who did quite well actually), but of the original source material.

Besides, the story's premise is about a gorilla-monster who evolved to be a cute girl. There are many deus ex machina events to help the MC, and while it was somewhat funny to read... more>> about the MC questioning his situation multiple times, the novelty wears off quickly as it devolves to the usual herbivore MC type tropes.

Time filler. <<less

Has a great start and is fun to read even though the MC is totally lame and a stereotype Japanese high school looser. I especially like the evolution stuff.

It took awhile for someone else to pickup the translation again and now I am really disappointed. Chapter 20 and 21 were absolutly ret*rded. I don’t know what the author was thinking, or drinking/smoking.

Just read it for yourself, without spoiling I’ll drop this novel.

One of the most disgusting self fulfillment novels I read.

Everything is handed to the MC in a golden platter, He is Overpowered, He has the looks, The harem and all that nonsense.

Spoiler

What irritated me the most is that we were introduced to a character that has a bad curse then precisely in he finds the exact counter item to the said curse in the place he goes to. Everything is conveniently laid out for him, Its that bad.

I read this novel just for the comedy and for the laugh..

Although this is a typical OP MC that soooo OP his stat is not displayed....

for those who read this looking for cool, calm and etc etc MC that must go through numerous hardship, betrayal and serious story is advised NOT to read, because this novel story is (for my personal opinion) comedy based and well that harem tag explains the rest.. :D

Overall good read

Well, let's see you should hive it a try because you will find out if u like it or not very soon, as for me I really don't like the protagonist being to s*upid with so much power belive me he is beyond s*upid, he should have a system which gives him points for being s*upid.

But thats just me you might end up liking it just try reading first few chapters out and you find out.

Hmm? Why are the other reviews so serious?!

I mean, this is not the "really great" type of novel for me, but a light comedy novel to pass the time. And it's good enough for that. If I were to judge this in the same way I look at those "serious" novels, of course I will rate it lower. But it's not, and it's obviously trying not too hard on that either.

My idea is to simply read this leisurely, don't expect a masterpiece and you will probably enjoy it like others.

A 5, as I'm the one at fault for not reading the reviews that would warn me first, lol. (I shouldn't rate it, but I don't know how to remove my rating after accidentally rating, lol.)

First, my problem with this is just compatibility, I don't really like this kind of novel. The traditional Japanese comedy (in anime/manga/novels, don't know the rest, haha), especially the ones in harems, isn't funny for me, nor the "romance". Maybe I'm too old for this, lol, it's just not made for people like... more>> me.

As others already said, that's a comedy, and you shouldn't put too much weight in things here (don't put any weight). Remember the hundreds of harem anime you watched? Exactly, and with the cheats we usually find in isekai. We have a "loser", unlucky, ugly, without parents, smelly, bullied and extremely kind MC (usually the MC is just average, the one here is "tr*sh". But he has a golden kind heart, at least that's what is repeated some times is this 17 chapters I read, hehe), that suddenly is transported to a fantasy world.

In that world he becomes lucky, evolves because of some seed/grass and lvl up crazily in a short time, becoming overpowering really fast, becomes beautiful and strong and starts to acquire his harem. All of this narrated in a japanese comedy way, with "tsukkomi" things etc. Not my type, but I'm sure a lot of people will like, leaving the review just so people like me don't "fall" for this. Bye! <<less

Hahah !! Another best ! With this it will be my fourth WN I thought as the best.

To think that there's a WN that could LOL me so much after Arifureta..

Especially the part when the protag about to buy a horse. That LOL me to MAX..!!

... more>> I really like the protag. He's really the opposite of Hajime from Arifureta. An OP character without hardwork yet know his position and don't become arrogant and even become more timid than ever before. However he's no at all a coward or indecisive.

The heroines is really original. I mean, who the heck would ever imagine a gorilla as a heroine (or a donkey).

Subjectively, I really love this WN, but I just know that this work is not suitable for my psycho friends who like complicated, gloomy story and twisted and broken personality as a protag. <<less

This novel would be 5/5 for perfectly executed tropes and cliches with some lighthearted poking at the genre IF the MC wasn't so braindead during every situation ever. I get that dense MCs are the norm but this is honestly ridiculous. Seriously, though. Every single battle scene is pretty much just the MC being the most idiotic brainless moron in the universe while his skills automatically beat the sh*t out of every enemy he faces. The fight scenes cause me physical pain and nausea.

If it weren't for the decent relationships... more>> between the characters I would barely rate this at 2/5 but I'll give it a 3/5. <<less

I've only read this until chapter 49. My opinion in this review might not reflect the novel anymore as the story progress past chapter 49.

First off, I didn't put any kind of expectation for any deep story, drama or conspiracies etc. Etc.. It's just your common isekai RomCom story that you can find anywhere. The comedy in this novel made me chuckle occasionally. Not all the time though. The comedy focused on the MC doing tsukkomi. And next the heroines. I was actually quite happy that the heroines, at least... more>> until chapter 49, weren't the usual type that don't confess their feelings at all and basically just hoping that the MC would notice. They were actually confessing their feelings early on, not like after 200+ chapters. This is quite the plus from me. Other characters didn't really give me that much of an impression. They're just so-so so far.

Now world building. In my opinion it has quite a bit of depth in it. Just don't think too much about and you'll still be able to enjoy the story.

Now let's talk about the MC and how the author portrayed him. This is the huge factor which caused me to drop the series. So the novel is basically revolving around the MC doing tsukkomi right? This was where it started to get annoying. Other than tsukkomi, the MC was also screaming, yelling and complaining about his OP power. ALL. THE. F*ckING. TIME. If it's done only until the first arc, I still can give it a pass but so far there doesn't seem to be any intention from the author to moderate it. I knew that the comedy was based around that, but come on. At least give it some variety and give the MC some character developments so he can moderate his annoyingness. At this point, it'll be just going to piss you off and bore you.

Conclusion: If you can tolerate the MC screaming, yelling, and being surprised all the time, then go try it and you might actually really like it. If not, then don't or just go try reading it but with extra caution and expectations that the MC is really annoying. <<less

well... this type of novel is like the typical isekai where the MC is very OP..

MC doesnt want to become to strong, but the leveling mechanics is just too strong, giving him skills that a person needs atleast years to get.

honestly what keeps me reading is I wanna know what would happen when he met with his classmates again with his godly stats and how would the world will react when they found out that he has max stats.

it's kind of a slice of life of a guy trying to... more>> be normal with his godly stats. it's kind of fun to read just dont expect some mind boggling plot twist or something. <<less

I liked the beginning of this novel. It has your typical OP MC transported/summon (?) to another world. I had read this since it first translated up to now. My favorite heroine is Saria.

Now, this is the part I really dislike about the novel. MC is a f**king idiot. He's unable to mature and always scream about every little thing. The author clearly don't know the term 'character development'. Instead of being happy of gaining strength, he goes and scream about him being too strong and don't even bother to... more>> master his own strength.

So, I can only rate this novel 3/5 and that's because I like isekai and harem novels. If you can endure the MC's s*upidity, then try reading this until the current chapter. <<less

Warning, this is a comedy. I repeat, this is a comedy. If you aren't into a pure rom-com (or Com-Rom, since it's more into Comedy?) without any real plot and actions, better leave this at it

MC is a fatso, he smells, and he is weak in character (Herbivore). He is indecisive, gets startled easily, naive, slow in the head, and rather than posing as the main character, he is more suited as the second character or even mobs. MC is dumb, he doesn't know what to do with himself, keeps... more>> belittling his own worth, and always being lead by other characters without much resistance.

The MC, Seiichi, sucks as our protagonist. But that's why it's funny, this story IS a comedy after all.

Seiichi was a lucky (?) fatso. He was bullied, left out by the group, but thanks to that, he was free from the Empire's hand. He was fat and kept sweating, and all those sweats accumulated into his super smelly pants, which saved him from a carnivore. He finally got stronger, but that also means he left the humanity altogether. He couldn't even be described as a human anymore! His status mocked him, and the announcement notice laughed at him. When he finally found himself a harem, it was a gorilla, a donkey, and a cursed girl. He was so lucky, all his new acquaintances are pe*verts, if not weirdos

Spoiler

After reading chapter 74 of the Raw, now I understand why Seiichi was written as such a spineless guy. I mean, He's just too OP. He, theoretically, and practically, could adapt to any kind of environment and situation, even the Netherworld, which was a place not for the livings. And not only that, he could create any "concept" out of thin air without any restriction.

Yep, any.

I mean, in Olga's case, it is already the world's law that the s*ave could only be released by its owner. But our MC "create" a "magic concept" that "erases the law". Then, could he not make a "magic concept" that "resurrects the dead"? (He already did though.) He made a subspace that has a living being in it, why wouldn't he make a new world altogether?

What is that if not playing god?

[collapse]

Spoiler

Seiichi was just too strong, the world itself asked him to not use all of his power. Since it would be too dangerous, for the world that is.

[collapse]

The main selling point of this novel is not how strong Seiichi was, or how serious the plot is. But lays on the comedy, gags, and infinite tsukkomi moment you can't miss. It's about how Seiichi desperately telling himself, and everyone around him, that he was genuinely human. Even though he was not. About how s*upid his reactions were when he was facing unexpected situations, powerful (?) enemies, and his (pe*verts) acquaintances and (weirdoes) friends. This is a rare comedy story, where there is almost no misunderstanding aspect to make it funny. (Except Seiichi's identity as a human)

Also, the thing with that particular side character (s) ? Well, the author actually didn't forget about him (them), he was just preserving it well. <<less

First of all, I like the RTD and the quality of their translations. My opinion is strictly on the quality of the material.

The story starts off at 4 star level material but slowly drifts into 2 star at the point of writing this. I'm bad at writing reviews without spoilers, so I'll try to be careful. It starts off excessively angsty where a guy who has done nothing wrong but looks ugly is bullied by everyone. He's bullied and they don't even care if he lives. He gets thrown into... more>> an impossible scenario of certain death and goes from weak to monstrous. (Arifureta, Death Mage, and others have the same start just better all around.) The climb here is arguably the best part. It then slowly gets watered down by additional cast, and a very frustratingly bad attempt at character development. Nobody will replace the beautiful heroine, Saria, in my heart. It's just a shame she's in this terribly written story.

Spoiler

So plot happens, he goes from jungle to town to a school. Frankly, he's stopped developing his powers by this point. The limit is literally his imagination. The story is just a power fantasy chronically showing off how awesome the protagonist is to everyone now. That's fine. The issue is you're now forced to sit through a ton of poorly written character development. Scenarios that feel arbitrary and make no sense. Meanwhile, the protagonist is hiding his identity for really garbage reasons.

First, let's go with the basics, this story is a parody of the Isekai OP harem genre, in fact, you could say it's a very direct parody of the likes of Arifureta.

The MC is the typical bullied small person wit ha heart of gold, however, while usually the status would be based on prejudice from others towards MC, in this case, we could say it's very appropriate. MC is weak, fat, smelly and not very intelligent, the school in fact is an idol school, so everyone around is beautiful/handsome, athletic,... more>> though not necessarily intelligent (It's an idol based school, so that's secondary to looks). Of course, it's not to say that MC is isolated without friends, however, he isolates himself from his real friends to avoid problems against them.

The whole school is summoned to another world by some sort of god-like entity who pretty much says they don't care about whatever, gives them some cheats, and says there is a kingdom doing a summoning, so they should stay together to get there, otherwise, who knows what can happen. As can be guessed from this, MC is isolated during the transfer, and as such, ands up separated in a forest filled with powerful monsters, however, seeing that situation, the God-like entity gave Seiichi on last gift: Absolute Dissassembly, the ability to dissable everything from enemies he wins against, of course, he first needs to win in the first place, and with terrible status, no battle skills to help, no food either, his only weapon? Besides a stick, only his terrible smell, after 1 week without changing clothes, they pretty much turned into lethal weapons for the lulz. His status claim he is not even human, but a sub-human, such is his standing, until he finds the titular fruit of evolution, where he gets some skills (including smell control), and turning into a handsome taller guy.

Of course, it wouldn't be a parody without completely reversing the situation and turning OP. His smell seems to attract the attention of a certain Gorilla (Actually a monster called Kaizer Kong), who gets in love with him after witnessing his "still in growth" skills.

The parody doesn't stop there though, everything is pretty much reversed, what about the cliche experience of entering the adventure guild for the first time, just to have it turn into a terrible experience, the cliche of registering into the guild then having 3 big and unfriendly guys calling out to them, just to have it turn into "WTF!?". All the cliches are reversed, not only positive cliches are turned regrettable, but mundane cliches are also turned more dramatic than expected.

So, MC is ridiculously OP, but that's not what he wants, in fact, he feels like his body is evolving in ways that are getting out of control, which is not very welcome, but he can't go back anymore. In here, MC is so powerful that many of his actions are ridiculously played, like when he decides to fight a smile, and not only his first step when running created a crater in the ground, he completely vaporized the low level monster. The evolution is so out of hand that he can learn anything as long as capable, like animaland monster languages, special and unique abilities, etc.

So, what's the objective, and the harem?

The harem is the uncommon type, there are a mixutre of weirdos besides the gorilla, there are the likes of a cursed girl, a normal donkey, an adopted imouto, a battle crazed knight, etc.

His objective is, in short term, to survive, he would like to go back to Japan, but if impossible, he looks for a way to live well in this new world, so he is looking for something like a stable source of income, like getting a job. MC is not interested in meeting with the other students besides the few of his friends, but he has no info on them either way.

The story sometimes change POVs, one of the sides is the demon side, in special a certain Demon General that can't get a boyfriend, and another side is the students, usually represented by MC's best friend Shota, who was summoned by the Kaizer Empire together with everyone else. They don't know that MC is alive, and are trying to survive the terrible situations. Of course, even though MC was a sub-human in all regards, there was at least one girl on that side who had the hots into him, the typical perfect girl turned regrettable (Kaori from Arifureta reference), of course. <<less

This ones good. Its like the usual isekai types where the OP MC is detached from his classmates, stay on low profile etc. But the comedy in this made me laugh to the core. And also the heroine types are all not ojousamas or princesses like usual isekai novel but would eventually come in future translations (spoiler: princess is coming.)

Spoiler

Especially the scene where gorilla aka saria acts as a everyday wife at the forest and also the reaction he makes when his body doesn't listen to him and acts on its own. And here's the good one, its the time when the MC goes to register himself as a adventurer. It was freakin funny that I couldn't hold my laughter

First, I want to say that this review is subjective and come from my personal taste in novel.

I think this novel is good because of the transformation of the character. Even though the main character transformation is a bit too much.

The change of the character from someone helpless becoming a strong person is like a dream. Because there isn't much effort for him to become strong. He just eat some fruit called evolution fruit and become a strong person. But I myself wanted something like that. That's why I am... more>> quiet interested in this novel. You know every person like getting something without much effort and this novel really show how it is done.

But at least in this novel protagonist showing some effort. He got kicked to a land without human and fight to live. Trying hard even though he doesn't have much strength.

well the start is good. Even though in the later part of the novel there isn't much development in the character at least it shows some happy moment. <<less
