Love dependency disease: I have a special body condition which will naturally attract some type of people to me, people commonly known as ——”yandere”.

About my story, let me first come down from the surgeon’s table before speaking.

“I won’t let you run away”

“You’re mine”

“I won’t let you be handed over to anyone else!”

“Even if we die, we must still be together in the afterlife, remember that~”

The girls’ words, they still echo around my ears.

This story is pretty much Baka Test humor + yandere. MC has a constitution that attracts yandere to him. To escape his "girlfriend" he moved to another city. The novel achieves exactly what it's author wanted to - light hearted comedy combined with some serious moments.

If people read this till the latest chapter and still vote a 1/5, they simply aren't the target audience. I know people here hate cliches and tropes for some reason, but they are exactly what is needed for these kind of novels to not become... more>> a snorefest.

The novel has 9 volumes and is still ongoing. <<less

WARNING!

Don't read this, if you want a serious yandere novel.

At first I thought this story has a lot of potential, but then it happend. The comedy aspect has grown stronger and stronger. The downfall began with a competition between 2 schools:

... more>> "The 5 human tr*shes (Our MC is one of the human tr*shes) " vs. The other school's "4 dirty kings".

Somehow funny, right? I thought so, too. I thought this is kind of refreshing. A yandere novel, with comedy elements, but oh boy was I wrong. The problem is, this is a comedy novel with yandere elements and not the other way around.

Later the jokes became so ridiculous, that ANYTHING can happen for the sake of comedy:

Spoiler

1) After a fight in the student council, all members were hurt. One of them said: "I'm not hurt" As he said this, his kidney fell to the ground. "I'am really okay". He took his kidney and stuffed it back into his body.

2) MC is on the beach and is currently swimming in the ocean.

Yandere girl 1: "I can't swim. You have to help me" As she said this, she swam to the MC with a peculiar professional swim style and hugged him.

Yander girl 2: "I also can't swim. You have to teach me" As she said this, she swam to the MC in a peculiar professional swim style and hugged him.

Yandere girl 3? (It isn't known yet, if she really is a yandere) : "Teach me too". As she she said this, she walked over the water (is she jesus? What will she do next? Parting the ocean like moses?) and hugged the MC.

This novel is like the old cartoons from my childhood, where LITERALLY ANYTHING can happen at any time, just to get some laughs from the audience and yeah, some jokes are really OLD. Just read my 2 examples from the spoiler section.

I know, I shouldn't rate this novel, because a pure comedy novel isn't something I would pick up to read in the first place, but this novel mislead me for a long time and sold me a package of seriousness, but as I openend this package at home, a clown jumps out of the box.

Don't get fooled from the first chapters, just to end up wasting a lot of time. If you like to read a comedy novel with yandere elements, this might be for you. In that case you can ignore my 1 star rating. <<less

1st and 2nd volumes: 3/10
Typical bad stories made to pander the audience with its cliche characters and s*upid "plot". It felt like they were just introductory arcs for the next arcs to come presented in a very mundane manner. 3rd volume: 4/10
It is much better than the last 2 arcs. The MC had his character development (I don't know if a reset will happen), the introduced girl, although was a yandere, has a good reason why she is the way she is. It is like a downgraded version... more>> of Bakemonogatari (just slightly). Aside from the MC and his sister, the other characters felt like they were just decorations (like in every bakemonogatari arc). Although they were given screen-time, their actions aren't that interesting at all. Furthermore, the backstory of the sister was presented in a lazy way. Much better than most novels here, at least. <<less

The general idea of somebody who has a supernatural power to attract yanderes may sound interesting, but any potential for an interesting story is ruined by the MC. I will not sugarcoat it. The MC is s*upid, unlikable, and spineless. The MC is the kind of guy who would avoid a cute girl because he may attract hostile attention from the other guys in the class. I absolutely can't relate to such people and reading about them just pisses me off. Beyond that, the actions that this MC takes often... more>> make no sense at all.

If you are looking for an intelligent and relatable MC doing his best to survive an unfortunately encounter with a yandere, then you should look elsewhere... <<less

It's really not that bad.. As long as you can get past of how pathetic the MCs being like his title 'human tr*sh' it could be a decent read.. And I'd suggest binge reading per arc rather than waiting per translation release as the MC is hell of an annoying tr*sh. I know he had been traumatized but there are still some line you shouldn't cross.

Spoiler

even though the MC admits he likes MQX he is willingly destroying her mind. I couldn't get my head over it as it's too s*upid.

All the reviewers claiming that the MC is s*upid, illogical or spineless couldn't be more wrong.

In the first few chapters the main character will specifically seek to avoid women due to his wish to not stand out, but due to his circumstances, this proves to be impossible. Yet despite this, he doesn't squeal and squirm at this outcome but rather embraces his fate and dives full-on into the fray interacting with and chatting up the ladies wherever he goes. In this sense, he reminds me a lot of the main... more>> character Araragi Koyomi from the Bakemonogatari series - if you've seen it, you'll know what I mean.

All in all he's a passionate guy trying to live out a healthy, normal existence, yet due to his "special body condition" he gets thrown into a myriad of disproportionately ludicrous (and oftentimes, hilarious) situations. Throughout this entire series you won't see an end to the wacky hi-jinks - other than the occasional emotional moments that are strewn throughout the novel which do serve to balance out the novel's comedic aspects which indeed do dominate throughout most of the plot.

The main character makes mistakes just like anyone else, but he always makes sure to redeem himself and make things right. I'm not even sure you can call the things he does "mistakes" as he oftentimes has a very good reason for how he chooses to handle situations. I understand some people may find some instances to be distasteful, but that's just how storytelling works. If you want a main character that's a perfect gary stu and always has the solutions to every problem on hand and all the ladies just swoon at his feet with no hassles or strings attached, then go check out any of the other tr*shy novels on this site and I'm sure you'll appreciate the mindless drivel that is so easy to encounter here - be my guest!

It's a rather unique, quirky novel and I found it to be enjoyable. I found myself skimming through some parts due to a few instances being somewhat monotonous, but other than that it was an interesting (and more importantly, fun) read. As an added bonus, I'd like to add that all the girls (particular the female leads) are quite unique and charming and that is a huge plus in a novel such as this - especially with what you'd usually find in this department in other works of a similar vein. <<less

Pretty good so far
Spoiler

But that one arc where he rejects the heroine until her mind is broken is pretty bad I still like it

[collapse]
I wish I could continue to read it but there are no longer english translation to continue form for now. It is a good read I hope the old translator or a new translator continues to translate where the last translator left off it's been 2 years so far since the it was updated. The MC may be spineless but it's pretty good
