Face smacking using words and 'had eyes but couldn't recognize mt. Tai' type of novel. Smart MC.

5/5. I highly recommend trying a few chapters to see if it's your kind of novel.

Damn man, I seriously cant stop myself from praising the author and the translator. Its full of poems but what is f***ing hilarious is the audience reaction. You want some change from daily xianxia type novel then it is the best novel I will recommend. Go and read it and you will never regret reading it.

Well what to say, first of kudos to the translators, cause the quality is faaaaar above what i've gotten used to <3

The series is a breath of fresh air with it's own sense of comedy which takes a little getting used to, but really grows on you and lots of nonviolence situational face smacking. In short it's a feel good laugh much kinda series with fast and visible progress.

OMG! OMG! This is one of my favorite stories of all time now, when I first read the title I thought it was gonna be s*upid but I couldn't have been more wrong. The story is fun, original, the MC is badass yet not genecidal and it's just plain addicting. Worst thing you could do if you're on this site is not read this story.

Truly an amusing story and the translation actually does a great job of bringing the humorous tone into English. This is a NSFW (Not Safe For Work) novel for me... Because I literally laugh-out-loud while reading it. Highly recommended!

This novel is one of my favorite. I like the sense of humor the author uses. How the author narrates. And its one of opness of our main character that I am hooked on this.

Its one of the best modern world theme game world cn novel out in my view

Edit:- never mind, I feel sorry for the author, and the people of China, and any person to give this a 5star rating, this isn't one for 5 stars but It deserve it for a reason I don't understand.... more>> People need to experience this and grow up. Read this once in your life if you're here already. After all reading good sh*t is better than diarrhea shit. <<less

I've had more fun with this story than any cool action one, its a more mature type of humor with a lot of parts that make you go "DAMN HE ROASTED HIS ASS" (In a intellectual type of way). Makes me want to binge read till the end cause you never know what the MC would do next, he will leave you second guessing yourself with what he does and how he solves his problems.

Actually there's no great expectation at first, I read it because there's nothing left to read. But who knows that the story make me read all the chapter that have translated in one go! Trust me, this novel is more than good to satisfy your day!

This novel is pretty unique, I just don't get tired reading it. It has its ridiculous moments, but those simply enrich the reading experience. It is, after all, a snarky comedy in its essence. The character is hilarious, his thoughts can sometimes leave me speechless and clapping. What I most enjoy at this point, is how it introduces poems and literature in the story line. It can really broaden one's culture in a very entertaining way, so that the reader himself/herself will try to find out more, and feel the... more>> urge to read some of those works.

It's also very easy to get hyped while reading it, and get s**ked into the plot and the characters (just read some of the top comments after each chapter...). In one word - impressive. It's no wonder it's taken the top spot in the original publishing site. <<less

Personally I really do not like novels that does not have any actions as I find them pretty boring especially the romantic ones but this novel is really good!

The MC is really funny and his characteristics are good, he is not arrogant or a braggart, but he is not a wimp either, actually he is really brave and stands up for what he believes in. He also values friendship and favors given to him by others and returns it, as well as getting revenge for the misdeeds done to him.

As... more>> for the side characters they are very memorable as each of the ones that appears frequently have each different behaviors and they are not just some monotonous characters that appear to just have a single purpose.

As for the translation it's very good, grammar wise there are very few mistakes.

I suggest you guys try this, even people who only reads novels with action on them like me finds this novel an exception. It's funny while also having some serious parts once in a while and although some parts are pretty boring and stale, the good parts overshadow it by a clear mile <<less

This is a lightweight novel which is sometime funny but not hilariously funny, for me its both sweet and bitter. I guess the author is simply trying to say it doesn't matter how many blockade comes in your way you have to cross them to pursue your dreams. As the MC wants to become the biggest superstar he faces the problems that common people face in their workplace but he doesn't give up on his dream and works hard to achieve them (going early to office so that he is... more>> ahead of the schedule etc.). The writing of the story is very good and I have to applaud the author as I don't know much research he had to do for finding a poem or prose fitting to the situation he is about to write as well as translators for an amazing work.

All in all this is an amazing piece of work as you can connect to it as common people. I do recommend for everyone to try this. <<less

Funny, witty and entertaining.

The MC is very smart and has no qualms in using all his' arsenals to achieve his' objectives. It makes you think, if you were in his' position.. what would you do? If you can be as lucky as he is and change your life.. what and who do you want to be? It makes one realize that like the MC... YOU HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE YOUR LIFE AWESOME!

At the start of the novel, I really wanted to give it a four, because the lottery system it's not random at all but is used by the author as a way to move forward the plot, helping the main character when he is in difficulty. This is a flaw in the novel, because the main character is too "lucky". Howerver, I have to say that this novel is really good and reading more chapters I really think it deserves a five.

The story is about Zhang Ye, a jobless graduate,... more>> that wants to be famous. In the first chapters the lottery is used to help him gain a helping hand to get a job as radio dj. If I have understood right, the lottery can give him 3 different kind of reward. One is a totally one time "random" consumable, the second is the right to buy a consumable in a virtual shop that can be always bought if he has "reputation points" and the third is a skill. The plot is too linear at the start and is like this: MC has a problem => use points to try the lottery => gets consumable to resolve the problem => everyone is left in awe. Usually consumables are time limited, so once used there is a time limit. Another flaw in this novel is that the author doesn't understand the flow of time. It's no spoiler if I say that the time limit is often 5 minutes and in those 5 minutes happen too many things that is really weird.

The MC often wins while having too little time, with too wide gap from the second.

However, even with all this criticism, I want to say that the MC is funny, the story is funny and I have to say that it's a must read.
Another thing I want to add is that the MC is in a parallel world where famous works of our world doesn't exist so he use them to gain popularity. What I like about this, it is that I read things I didn't know existed, and I find them interesting since the author put them in the story nicely. <<less

This novel is lightweighted, it's humoristique and not about serious matters.
Most of the jokes are from China as well as the things he do.

Sometimes you may find it a little weird but if you just don't pay much attention too it it's a 5/5.

A novel that should be read to past time.

I'm normally a passive reader and seldom reviews but this one got that charm. It's a fun light read. I like how the MC acts. Shameless while appearing righteous. He does not act or try to hide how money grubbing or aggressive he really is despite being a cultured man. It took me a single reading to finish 61 chapters as they are written short and worthwhile. Let the tempest come and strike harder! -Zhang Ye

I was interested in seeing why a brand new novel to the site suddenly got good ratings by everyone, after reading some of it, its understandable why. Although it may just be me, but I don't find it as funny as people say it is, the odd joke about how he doesn't care about money, but then surrendering to gain a penny was the first thing that I found genuinely funny.

Worth the read.

Pretty good. Too bad I read too many similar stuff with Japanese manga for example Skip Beat or Glass Mask. It still a solid read. Go for it if you looking for a funny read.
