Including the Class F’s Shinzo Wataru, all 6 classes of first year students was teleported to a mysterious labyrinth with the school’s first floor.

For a first timer, it’s a dungeon filled with deadly traps and violent monsters. But for Wataru, it looked strangely like the classic 3D Dungeon RPG, “Genocide Reality”, and he had mastered everything about “Geno-Real”.

Even if it was Difficult Ranked “S” game, it’s nothing but a simple pastime for him. To escape the mu*derous labyrinth, he departs from his friends and the group to head off to the deepest part by himself. To enjoy this death game.

i've never done a review before but the other review pissed me off, NEVER judge a book on its first chapter

the reason the main character is the MC is his personality and his "luck, " not his brains, otherwise there could never be a book with a "normal" MC, not to mention most MCs are just lucky enough to find some miraculous treasure and, with effort and more luck, become op after x chapters, and that's just in action adventures have you ever seen an MC in a comedy that... more>> isn't "lucky"

second, there are plenty of background characters mentioned you just never got there to
Spoiler

see them go insane

[collapse]

third, the verbal abuse is directed to that specific character and he is only slightly sexist in believing that females are weaker
Spoiler

they got used as meat shields for traps for being weaker is what the MC said when he saw it, at least he tried to help

[collapse]

you find out most of this in the first 5 chapters so feel free to see the spoilers if you don't mind, well they are more story building then important

anyway I gave it a 4* because there are somethings I don't agree with but can be compromised be saying that it's the MCs pov, something like the MC knows because it's his game so why would he think too much on the small details, this however only has to do with the game layout and not the story or characters and may be explained later like on why there is so little information on the town <<less

I'm declining to rate, as this isn't a standard review but a warning instead:

The novel itself is pretty good and highly enjoyable with plenty of promise, but the translator who took over from the 12th chapter onwards is doing a very poor job. The recent translations feel like a mix of 'wooden' and 'confusing' which either leave you feeling empty or unsure what happened, and while there is an editor they can only catch misspellings and translation errors, they cannot put the feeling back into the words that was lost... more>> in the initial poor translation.

I cannot recommend reading this as long as this translator (Sad Hoovy) remains around, but I will edit this review if the situation changes. Sadly while there is always hope that a dropped novel will get picked up by somebody else, the probability of a shoddy translation by an MTLer getting redone by somebody competent is very low. <<less

I can see why this isn't updated often. The grammar is... Intricate, but the PoV of the story is a high school boy that plays video games. ಠ_ಠ So he probably wouldn't be using words that even college students don't use.

Also in the situation of "leaving earth, " the explanation and details were plain. No one was crying, screaming, there wasn't any scared idiots, nor any annoying bullies, and definetly no mentions of a bossy teacher.

The protagonist is a loser. His personality sucks. His friend is a genius, but... more>> he hangs out with a background character like protagonist. He has no interesting qualities.

He also verbally abuses girls. Calling her a b*tch, virg*n sl*t, etc. I don't know how acting like a better person makes someone call you a whore. Like it makes no f*cking sense. ಠ_ಠ (¬_¬)

She might be "fake, " but she isn't so fake to the point where she acts like an emo bit*h like the protagonist. He literally goes through an emo moment, but can get up nonchalantly. Like he just wasn't depressed for a minute.

I refuse to believe that it took 5 minutes for a bunch of earthquakes to happen and for every one to not notice that they're not on earth. If you think about it, the earthquake could last that long. But people would usually wait for aftershocks. ಠ_ಠ

This story is shit. It's a story that was made by a 10 year old girl that decided to make a story based on reading a few chapters of The Hunger Games or watched a little of the Maze. <<less

This story has a lot of potential and I enjoyed reading the chapters that have been translated. It would be great if someone could pick it up since Skythewood can no longer do so.

Reasons for 5 stars!

1) I don't agree with the people who rated it 1 star. Trying to balance it.
2) There aren't many stories I have seen in which revolve around this type of concept. Not that I've seen.
3) I think the translation has been done well.

It's a story people should try and read :3

Ok I can't. I have it a go an pushed through the first 5 chapters or so (which were bad) and it did get better until he went back to town and let's just say for someone who keeps going on about himself in the end he is still a Japanese MC (beta).

To put it simply, it's literally (literally) a mini retro Dark Soul being played by a high-end player who had beat it countless times.

The first chapter feels weird, but that weirdness will attach to you as the story progresses.

The characters have their own haywires. MC with his "don't bother me and my slaughter" attitude, that genius boy with his trap element, the brokenhearted virg*n sl*t, Mr. Oh-I-am-Perfect-Look-At-Me and his down-to-earth crush, etc. They all make the story a little bit more colorful, even though not lasting for long.

In all honesty,... more>> I want to at least give it a four. But, even though I'm sorry to him, the second translator was literally just copying Google Translate, makes the translation unbearable (for me). That's not all though. The story is slowly turning into a typical Harem.

Spoiler

The MC got driven mad by his own strength part was good, but adding that bunny and her ridiculous purpose was a mistake.

Great story. Though not a good guy the MC isn't bad either. Geno-reality appeals to the solo gamer in me. I hope it continues. Thanks!

I've read up to the end of the labyrinth arc (thank you, ncode. com and google translate) so be warned, I may slip into some spoilers. Alright, leggo.

The story is a fairly decent and unique isekai, the MC isn't a goody two shoes beta but also isn't a dismissive a**hole. The only thing he's interested in is killing his way through the labyrinth alone, which is both a plus and a minus. Having an MC that actively enjoys and seeks out 'survival of the fittest' type situations instead of going... more>> all 'I want to return to my family' or 'I will survive by any means necessary' is pretty enjoyable. And the MC straight ignoring all the faction war shite in the town simply because he doesn't give a damn about it is a good giggle.

As for romance, there isn't any. In other novels I might complain because beta MC is tr*sh unless there is character development, but here is fine because it is consistent with the MC's character. Which is, say it with me now

Check if Seki's safe. Okay, he's safe. I want to go kill in the labyrinth, can I leave now?

The ninja girl immediately started clinging to the MC and acting like a hoe after typical hero boy rejected her, so he isn't really interested in her. Hero boy's childhood friend is, well, hero boys childhood friend. MC doesn't get involved since a. he needs to use hero boy b. he wants to go kill in the labyrinth and c. The MC respects the bro code. Rabbit girl? Married 10 minutes after they met, MC was understandably uncomfortable with that. Ariadne, best girl. Also master s*ave relationship so kinda awkward.

All the partners are rejected for fairly believable reasons. Although honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the MC turned out to be gay with how interested he seems in Seki.

I find the MC's personality enjoyable but it's not like there's no problems with it. He doesn't really question why he's in this situation in the first place, still treating the world like the game world and ignoring little tidbits of information that would hint at all not being as it would seem until quite a bit later in the story. That kinda got on my nerves but it was consistent with his character so its not that big of a deal. Also, his complete disregard for the students in the town except seki is both good and bad. Good since it lets us focus on the slaughter and bad as there were a couple... issues... that could've been snuffed out if more attention was paid.

Altogether, this is a pretty good read. A lot of enjoyable points to it and only a few things keeping it from 5 stars. It is held back by the translation a bit but I don't take this into consideration when I make reviews. I only base my ratings on the story itself. <<less

Pretty good novel so far. I am kinda dissapointed on the reviews this novel gets though. A lot of people don't like the protaganist for some reason. I think he's a unique character compared to other protaganists. Usually they're very goody goody, always saving people's lives for no reason even if it puts him/her in danger. They are also naive a lot of times which can get annoying.

Reasons for 4 star

1) Good story so far

2) Unique protaganist and characters

3) Trying to balance the rating for this novel

Reasons why it's NOT 5 stars

1) It's a novel. (My opinion not a fact)
