65 million years ago, Earth was ruled by all sorts of dinosaurs—from big to small.

In the Quaternary Period of the Cenozoic Era, humans became the Earth’s rulers.

Unfortunately, a great deal of humans from their birth to death can only make use of 3-5% of their brain. This is an incredible waste. The human brain has unlimited potential to be unearthed. As the depth of brain region increases, mankind can become smarter, become stronger.

Slowly, mankind began to re-examine themselves, re-examine the brain, and come up with all the ways to unearth their potential…

But, this all came too late. 2100 BCE, the 6th global extinction arrived.

……

“Lin Feng, 17 years old. Depth of brain region: 5.00%, 10th rank.” The examiner’s icy voice resounded.

Warring Era, 101st year. A brand new, future world. An era of science and technology that reexamines the human body’s potential. Lin Feng, who was on the brink of becoming a genetic warrior, experienced an extremely weird “brain region degeneration”. His brain region depth fell from 9.95% back to the starting point.

……

Lin Feng used to be a genius, towering above everyone else. However, due to an unfortunate accident, he fell to the very bottom. Yet, he was undeterred and continued to work hard so that one day he could reach his brother, and fulfill the oath they made together.

The novel starts off great before quickly degenerating into a steaming pile of nationalism, blatant racism and supremacist rants that are there for no reason (they don't even advance the plot). And somehow there's something about ancient chinese civilizations, aliens, the great wall, hindu gods and greek heros.... It's pretty confusing. This is neither sci-fi nor xianxia. What once seemed to be a successful marriage of the two is ultimately nothing but a broken mess that does neither of the genres justice

Hmm, good premise, the MC isn't a wimp, getting dragged around by others, and, surprisingly, it smoothly incorporates sci-fi and xianxia into one. This is one to watch.

Lin Feng this is the MC name and not only that name is the same one as the PMG but his parents pull the same bullsh*t in this novel too.

In PMG the Lin Feng father doesn't say a thing about his own powers and even knowing his talent is strong while verybody think its tr*sh he doesn't botter to explain and his mother even being super strong doesn't give a damn about her own son being kill and hunted all the time and pretty much never show up in front... more>> of him because he is too weak to be her son...

Now here in GSB Ling Feng mother pretty much criple his brain depht region because she want him to have a set back so he can grown stronger, the problem is his girlfriend left him for some playboy that don't give 2 shits about her and her son enter in a extremly depress state for a whole YEAR and only after this 1 year pass his mother decide to give him a set of cultivation for him to start training again...

I only read a few chapters but Jesus what kinda jackass is the MC mother in this novel even the one in PMG is better since she never try to destroy her own son self confidence and even if she wanted to seal his brain power why wait a whole year to give the cultivation skill to him! This detail destroys a possible good novel for me if you can ignore this could be a good novel. <<less

I do not really like sci-fi wuxia, but I have to say that I am enjoying this story so far. There are a few mysterious up to Chapter 8 that are going to be interesting as the story progresses. I hope the translator continues with the series.
