When the last prodigy level esper on Earth disappeared, Earth was in deep trouble of becoming another species’ colony. The ordinary Han, with his intelligence and hardworking character, was able to make a fortune after “accidentally” stepping into the world of dark net, later purchasing an esper power crystal that brought him the ultimate power that changed the fate of the universe.

Dark net is a subset of the Deep Web that is not only not indexed by traditional search engines, but that also requires special tools like specific proxy or authentication to gain access. Dark net is not restricted by any law or morals, so the dark net market has everything that is prohibited by the law. Drugs, s*aves, firearms, uranium, bioweapons, rare animals, human testing, assassination, and the list goes on. During the year of 2075 on Earth, Han Lang logged into the largest hyperspace dark net market, and our story begins.

Hmh. Just so so for me

I was deceived by the cover, and some tags..

Reading one of the review, I expect there's romance somewhere, maybe about 40%, I hope. But! The romance was like, 1%?maybe 5%? Idk.

But the storyline was okay, but not that kind who can draw me deep into it.

The MC is quite smart n OP, but the crisis is never ending it tires me out.

The first half was really solid but it all started to go downhill fast as the story was elevated beyond the scope of the initial BIG BAD GUY who was killed off in 1 chapter by a character that came out of nowhere and then left.

After that happened I lost significant interest in the story as MAJOR BAD GUYS appeared then were immediately defeated.

There was no real ending to the story and honestly, that doesn't bother me, these types of stories are more about the journey than the ending. This... more>> journey was good until around 300ish give or take 50 chapters. <<less

This is a pretty unique novel. It has a bunch of good ideas. It maintains a pretty decent pace until around chapter 450. Then the author must have decided that he was tired with writing this story. Because the pace gets screwed up and the ideas are so frantic and no one would be able to understand it. By the last 5 chapters it is so bad that it hurt me to actually read them. If you stop reading when they decide to go to the west dark net, then... more>> this is a terrific book, that I would give 4.5 stars too. <<less

I really liked the beginning, there was the interesting concept of the dark net and all. The MC was very charismatic and (I'd say) realistic (?) since he came from nothing. He is a hero that helps Earth stand on its own and cares about humanity, he looks at the big picture.

But I gotta say that I am personally a little disappointed with the ending... And I wouldn't really say there is good romance in this. But gotta take into consideration that the author dropped this novel.
I'll not spoil... more>> the ending, but there is no conclusion (I feel) and I feel the story just did a rush ending. But I still feel that this novel is pretty good. If you guys like action xuanhuan that goes into detail and you don't really care about romance development then I think this is a good fit. <<less

Starts incredibly well, and keeps it up for quite a while.

Sadly, quality drops majorly the further along you are, and ends up just being a compilation of "han's so cool because of this, he's so awesome because of that, he's a perfect commander, he's oh so tough,..."

At that point, the story constantly gets interrupted for the 2 chapter's of ooh I love han, and then goes on being good.

Sadly, although at first this happened once every 10 chaps, which was tolerable, now it's every 1-2 chapters, which is annoying, and... more>> disturbs the flow of the story.

At this point, I'm dropping it, due to this very reason. <<less

3-star. I can't believe how this novel got a 4.5 average rating. That's the same as ISSTH, but it's incredibly mediocre. The character development is horrible.. It goes on and on about how Han is tough and it's all about his will, blah blah. Where's the intelligence? No one believes they can conquer the world just by being tough. The world buliding is relatively bad as well. This is a space opera, but it feels more like "China in space and other aliens". It doesn't have a global feel at... more>> all. I understand the target audience is Chinese, but still, man.

The fights.. All just Han being unbending and fight to the death, and plot armor.

Oh, and the writing can be soooo bad. In recent chapters, there was an instance where he found 2 beasts that are mates. Instead of succumbing to being captured, they rather su*cide by killing each other. Han goes, s*upid, why would you kill yourselves. I wasn't going to kill you! (I only want to capture you and make you my s*aves) !! Seriously, this guy is supposed to be a champion of Earth. He's supposed to be give his all to protect his people, but he says such dumb shiit.

Swallowed star is a much better space story than this. <<less

The concept is extremely interesting and plot is progressive, but everything else falls below average writing. Though despite it's obvious flaws it makes a decent read with the style and story, if only the author had a bit more skills.

I do not understand why other people rate this novel highly. IMAO, it is too amateurish that it is hard to look at it.

I will not go into detail how a 16 year-old teenager with non-medical background is able to provide a service for drugs because it is totally ridiculous.... Pharmaceutical business is much harder to understand than providing services for tech products. All iPhone 9 are almost the same specification as preset by the factory and it’s solutions are nearly the same. But everyone among 6 billion people on... more>> earth have different genes. Treating a serious illness is hundreds of times more difficult and dangerous than treating a phone or a laptop. So if analysing mobile phone market have a difficulty level of 3, then analysing pharmaceutical market probably have a difficulty level of 9 or 90. This year’s pharmaceutical products are different from last year or decade or century. Earth’s medicine are different from Mars’s medicine. Treating human is different than treating an alien. Human alone have more than ten thousand different diseases and medicines for them. And can you use paracetamol for aliens on other planets? How can a teenager even understand a fraction of a galactic drug business? Especially a teenager who have only seen the galactic network yesterday! !!! Please post me on a way on how to possibly handpick just hundreds of drugs which are of business interest from among millions or possibly billions of drugs.

I will not argue about a dozen reasons as to why MC is the first ever person to post his little pharmaceutical prices analytical findings in the galactic network. Who knows, other business uncles, aunts and grandpas probably do not have sufficient thinking and processing capacity!

I will not argue how fake to 1) get the most powerful power crystal by luck 2) with the money just frantically earned a few months ago and then 3) go to galactic tournament the next day by mistake and 4) show off in the tournament with the very low power level just activated yesterday because that power (Void End) is the ONLY power than can allow the user to pass the tournament levels regardless of the low level of power. Can you even believe these series of events. It is as unbelievable as someone telling me that I will win the biggest lottery next year and not just one but at least half a dozen times.

And so on...

The story is very fake to be able to immerse in it. I feel like I am reading a kindergarten essay. <<less

Relatively interesting story to read even if the plot armor is pretty strong with this one.

The characters are really enjoyable all the way through.

Unfortunately I got the feeling that at some point (around 300 chapters maybe) that the writer was kinda lost, not knowing where to go with his story, MC remaining still hardworking, but leveling system becoming less and less relevant and some magical events who come slap your face from god knows where...

Don't misunderstand however, this novel is really worth spending time reading it, I just like to... more>> rant a bit.

Moreover the more we go through the chapters, the more we get to see amazing and frequent typos which is a shame considering it's not a fan-lation but on qidian.

To finish I would say the end of the novel is one of a kind to avoid spoilers, I can't say if I enjoyed or not the last few paragraphs of the story but well, the autor did his thing and I can understand him ! <<less

I started from 4.5 stars and fell to 3.5 stars.

At first the mystery was really a mystery and bring thrill to the story. But after the later half of the novel things started to go badly, the mystery about the prehistoric race was answered along with other mysteries buuuut.. The consequent mysteries that appeared after became thoughtless asspulls and things happen just because it can, making things chaotic.

One thing I really liked about this novel is that it never used those overused cliché in earlu chapters, though I was disappointed... more>> that the quality turned bad at later chapters and there's even those annoying overused clichés that started appearing.

I'm still rating it 3.5 though, the world building was amazing, the characters are great, just that the story went on a bad (not so interesting) direction and became disappointing in later chapters but the first 200 chapters deserve a 4 to 4.5 stars. <<less

This novel's world is brilliant. It's never-ending and awesome. So many races, planets, and objects.

The MC... is okay. He felt like a Gary Stu once he became a genius and capable of doing almost everything he laid his hands on. Not annoying, but I kinda lost the feeling of suspense. He's OP and talented in many aspects, although he doesn't always win against stronger opponents 1v1... he usually calls in the army by then or gets lucky.

Ah, MC gets really lucky. Really lucky. His personality is extreme.

Basically, I got bored... more>> of that after reading 300 chapters in a row, but then it got interesting again with more mysteries! The book has a lot of them. Also, the world got so creative and straight-up weird and shocked me. XD Liked that!

There doesn't seem to be romance (beautiful female lead in the tags already lol) but MC has a bunch of beautiful women (explains the tag, anyone he'll probably end up with will be beautiful) around him. Not exactly love-loving him, but definitely attracted to him in various ways. The girls aren't very annoying, so that's good.

Side characters... not the most memorable always, but they're fun to read and can be quite derpy sometimes.

The hype is so-so because it feels like the MC will never utterly lose. Got predicable. Gets stale after a while in the middle, but picks back up. The author's writing style (or how the TL typed it out) is quite simplistic, but there aren't any major flaws.

If there were half-star ratings, I would give it a 4.5. Fun, but not the most epic. <<less

Honestly a very enjoyable read. It's not the best writing at times, and the translation does have a decent amount of typos (not really that bad), but this story is definitely very unique compared to CNs I've read so far, and it's a good thing.

The most similar novel I've read so far, is probably Swallowed Star. It's modern and has very futuristic technology, cultivation is pretty unique, deals a lot with the vastness of space, other planets, and alien races, amongst a few other things.

The action and the MC... more>> are definitely very strong points for GDN, though he does power up sorta quick. He's a typical, super hardworking and determined CN MC, ruthless to enemies, VERY fearless, indomitable willpower, etc haha. He's definitely powerful, if not, somewhat OP, especially compared to people his level and a level above, but a big part of his strength is the fact that he has intelligence! He uses various tactics and strategies when he fights and doesn't really just mindlessly attack, even though his base strength and abilities are great. He'll use various things to survive and kill his enemies, most of which are illegal and taboo in his galaxy (Galactic Dark Net, illegal stuff haha). Anything to prosper. I also love how he likes to learn different things and skills that are beneficial and not just practicing martial arts. It's a good change of pace.

I think the side characters are pretty good, but mainly his teachers (which are awesome! Really make this even more enjoyable) and his love interest. I especially like his love interest and the subtle romance so far. She's a very likeable character with an actual personality. Even when there's not much romance so far, and big gaps in between, I'm looking forward to the future of it. The one downside is there aren't really any strong female characters so far... His love interest is definitely powerful, but... not even really a female presence in general. There's still over 300 chapters left, but yeah.

The adventure is also great, I mean, obviously, it's space with tons of planets! The world building and pace are also good.

I'm not some expert reviewer. Or someone who's very scrutinizing. Even with some faults, this novel is very fun and interesting. I like everything about it. It gets 5 from me mainly because I read through 147 chapters while barely skipping paragraphs along the way.. which is rare for me after reading through many "well known" novels.

Putting this on hold until more chapters get released. Hopefully this stays consistent as a good read. <<less

Good story and different from all other novels. Really like it, good pacing and refreshing and enjoyable. Nice story background, little-bit dark theme. The story is unique and the pace is perfect. Recommended for you who look for sci-fi light novel. Definitely worth a read. It is hard to dislike this novel.

Really appreciate if translated chapters could increase at least 2 a day but really nice story and thnx for translating noodletown translations.

Good pacing and refreshing environment (detailed sci-fi setting). Han is really a normal guy, and his reactions prove it (“Mad wind your mom!”).

He also makes quite logical decisions, although his sudden interest in protecting the Earth with his life is questionable. I mean, his whole determination is questionable. He was able to work for WEEKS while sleeping for TWO hours a day? Come on man.

I also hope the one heroine that appeared won’t turn out to be a tsundere bit*h or imma flip some shit

overall 3.9/5.0, the narration sometimes... more>> can feel like a copypaste xianxia and that whole “portable sensei”-thing irks me, but the good points trump the bad ones. <<less

I hate reading stories like this it gives me un-satisfied feeling. It's just that open ending novels is pointless for me. You read the novel because you're interested in the world the author has made not the story you want to make after the ending of the novel. The same with author quitting or hiatus, it just angers me. But then again that just what the author wanted or they are prolly burnt out. That's why I avoid reading this kinds of things, it just felt un-satisfying to me.

Although that's... more>> what I felt it still has it's good part thought. It's quite a descent novel. Good pacing, sci-fi, high tech feel to it, tackling the mysterious beyond the universe. It's quite well thought out. I just don't like out it ends that's why. But I wouldn't not recommend it. It's still a good read. <<less

Where are these positive reviews and 5-star ratings coming from? This story started out somewhat interesting and then nosedived into disappointment in the 15 chapters I bothered to read. Author has no writing skills. The writing is just shoddy. Super fast pace, zero character development. Nothing to see here folks.

A wonderfully new experience of a novel topic.

However everything is handed on a silver platter, not much hardship besides forced plot progression.

Nothing was actually tied up besides author's reason to tie in dragons.

... more>> Mother's heirloom chip unsolved.

Father, never mentioned

Power progression faded into no evolution even after author mentioned 'no one ever got that far, how godly its gonna be when he levels up" levels twice above highest past standard, author uses same was as intro of novel.

Author says dark net is trading > colonoized super factions >insect body where veins are transport points.

??? How does everything from past time or event technological scans not show ifs a f*cking living organism in hibernation. Author blabbers on about the dark net being the underside of the universe that allows control of other side of universe, never specifies how space travel is prominent, oh about space there was an entire arc about space powers.. Dropped by author following arc till rushed ending.

Character development.. Distaseful. They all are bare minimum hot heads or infatuated friends.

Love intersts piled on but our loyalty ridden MC ignored all of them. Even after wasting several instances talking about how importanf love interests concerns are about family.

Author regularly switches name of characters or powers.

Honestly this novel was a wattapad fanfiction written on coffee and nicotine.

Nothing stayed consistent, nothing ever ended as author got excited and started new travelling arc.

Its good if your bored or a new reader. Bittersweet if you are a religious ln reader. <<less

The novel is weak, and I wasn't surprised it's just, for all novels i've read this one is, by far, the worst at it.

At chapter 55, the real colours of 9LPS show, and he is- clueless.

I was already getting a hunch from my tummy and head where if I kept on reading, I would get them hurt (they are experienced :) -), and at chapter 55 it was my limit. So basically, there is like 200 battles made by raiders on earth, and there is no response from the government,... more>> and there is no complaints everywhere, and there is no riot from anywhere, and there is always ONE-SIDED support die hardo of any military action and decision, so as a person I just dislike this extreme lame and poor creativity. I also dislike sucking on balls-hair of any organization, and so I give it a 1*, BUT it gains another * because MC does feel like a MC and team battles aren't absolutely cringe, it was somewhat enjoyable, oh yea that reminds me, "OH HEY GUYZZZZZ, SINCE MILITARY DISCIPLINE IN AN "EARTH" WHOSE POPULATION IS 15 BILLION, LET'S DO A 5V5 TEAM DEATHMATCH TO DECIDE OUR COMMANDER FOR OUR FIRST SPACE LEGION"...

...

Absolute ret*rditiness. <<less
