At a unspecified point in the future, the Earth dies. Then, a genius engineer only known as “Y” manages to revive the Earth using only gears and clockwork. Thus the world is renamed “Clockwork Planet”, with cities being build inside the planet’s gears. A thousand years later Naoto Miura, a student and lover of machines living in the Kyoto gear, finds a crate has crashed through the roof of his apartment. Inside the crate is a coffin containing the broken body of an automaton. Using his superior sense of hearing, Naoto fixes the automaton, who is named RyuZU Yours*ave, who reveals she has been broken for over 200 years. RyuZU promises complete loyalty to Naoto and the two become close. Later they meet two people trying to find RyuZU: Dr. Marie Bell Breguet, the youngest person to become a “meister”, a group of master engineers; and her bodyguard Vainney Halter. A month after their encounter, all four appear in Akihabara, Tokyo, having now become the world’s most infamous terrorists

I'm surprised there are no reviews for this series... It's litereally one of the best works out there, to ever exist! Well at the very least very very good.

1) Great Characters, amazingly they are all fun, interesting, have their own background and development throughout the story.

2) The world is really interesting, with similar ideals to our RL, but with lots of changes that makes it more fantasy and magical.

3) The cuteness level in later volumes is like 100/100.

This is one of the best novels you can find

Best part of novel
1. Unique story line.
2. Deep characters.
3. Sci - Fi

But you may not like it if
1. You cannot tolerate slow releases.
2. You want everything to be very very realistic.
3. You only like protagonists that want to kill.
4. You want MC to be super OP.
5. You want MC to be a hero.
6. You cannot watch a human flirting with a robot.

Set in a hypothetical world where the main development of the world has once halted and shifted to a gear and clockwork based society due to an enigmatic genius.

We follow the story of a young man who has an incredible hidden talent of clockwork and also overflowing libido, the downside is he can only love automatons. But heavens took pity on the young boy and sends him adorably moe yet tsundere automaton crashing through his roof which he manages to repair and form a servant-master relationship with.

We also follow the... more>> story of a young woman who's an elite of the elites in clockwork technology, a 'Meister' burning with righteous anger and desire to reform and save the society, coupled along with her trusty hard-boiled bodyguard.

The world building is the novel is alright, it isn't bad and quite interesting but doesn't go in depth either. What you really want from this novel is the moe, that's right fluffiness. The character interactions are the enjoyable aspects of the novel, especially how adorable they all act. Action comes in bite size segment, you do get some action but they're shortlived. Characters themselves are also quite lovable with their own traits, it's slow but they get development.

All in All, the novel is a good read and I would grade it a quality light novel above average. <<less

I like the setting. And that's all. The idea of a clockwork planet is very amazing, and the author describes and explains stuff very clear. It is very logical and realistic, even the overly sci-fi bits have some reasonable Physics to back it up.

The rest is kinda boring. I don't really care about the genius mistaken as tr*sh with an obsession for robots, and the rest of the casts are either generic or just meh. I mean, I just read it for the explanation bits and actions, and skip through... more>> most dialogues, because it is just any other harem story you can find. <<less
