The arrival of origin ability era. Many berserk beasts spawned. Humans with superpowers blooming like mushrooms. Su Hao is just an ordinary 3rd year high school student who had mastered a lowly grade origin ability named
“Model analysis”.

However, when he was creating a character model in his mind by analyzing the opposing side’s ability, a crazy idea echoed in his mind. What would happen if he creates a model of the entire world? This would imply that he… would be like a God, controlling the world!

I like the novel. It's fun to see a more psychic power/super power novel combined with the standard cultivation novel. MC doesn't have an OP ability, which is nice. Three reasons I rated it 4 stars not 5 stars: 1) it's poorly written; 2) I don't like the relationship stuff so far, it's felt very middle school in its lack of depth (which I suppose it is, but many readers are not) ; 3) I don't like the translating website. Aside from consistently translating one or two novels which I... more>> personally cannot stand, the translators for the site tend to pick good novels up and then drop them after 60 or so chapters. Strongest Dan God and VW:UUTS are two examples. Might just be one particular translator or something else, but compared to sites like WuxiaWorld and Gravity Tales that usually take stories to completion, this site is severely lacking in consistency in that regard. Couple that with the relatively slow translations of this novel we've seen lately, and I think they will probably drop it. I hope they prove me wrong. <<less

The start is quite poor, author has many logical problems and inconsistencies (i.e. a robber attacks MC without checking whether he has anything worthwhile at all, or everyone is judged by only one single parameter that is supposed to reflect their strength - lumping s*upid athletes and weak geniuses together). Translation is quite inaccurate -i.e. what MC is trying to enter is not "university", but "*war* university", thus explaining why they ignore those with non-combat abilities.

But later on the story improves - it is quite interesting to see how MC... more>> is becoming a Batman in the world filled with Supermen, and falls further and further to the Dark Side in pursuit of power... <<less

There are parts of the story that I liked but the author keeps on forgetting what he wrote and keeps on coming up with more and more BS as the story goes on.

Plot is an issue for sure, especially since it's usual repeat of young master to old master, to another young master to another old master, some beast being salty and then movement being salty. Everyone generally wants to kill MC but for some reason they never attack all the way until MC is strong enough to defeat them.

The... more>> biggest issue however is the power scaling. In novels like this, following MC and seeing him power up is one of the staples. But in this novel all of this is completely nullified by the fact that no matter how much MC powers up, the world scales up to him anyway. MC suddenally got to unbelievable level that shouldn't be possible for his age, don't worry the rest of the world suddenally scales up to match him, some even stronger than him... at least until he gets new BS power up. All the heavy work and impossible miracle powerups that MC got, yea, they don't mean much, that guy next door is just as good by sunbathing. That how it feels.

This novel really tests one patience but yea, that part where author randomly spawns villains who want to kill MC for no reason is the most annoying, especially since those villains are the most petty type which is there just for the sake of being next stepping stone and disappearing afterwards. So after 500 chapters of the same BS over and over again, it's time to stop. Especially since recent chapters also reveal that all of MCs effort and hard work, yea it didn't matter as everything was already arranged by his dad 20 years ago.

To repeat the same action and expect different result is madness. <<less

putting it on hold for now, the plot isn't that original but it's what made me try out this novel in the first place. I like how this takes place in a highschool/university setting but the translation isn't great and the story so far isn't that good for me to continue.

the story has a couple of plot holes ?? couple chapters in.. maybe due to the bad translation? idk y im putting this one on hold because I can usually deal with bad translations but I can't with this one...... more>> I didn't think that he'll get an upgrade to his orgin ability but instead learns how to utilize it more efficiently kinda disappointed. since he can just copy different skills from others his 'hardworking' persona just flew out the window.

when u read the title godly model creator u think that the MC is a "analytical/smart/brainy" type but hes not. author focuses mainly on combat which I guess makes sense but come on. ? <<less

Slightly below average. Simple story. There is a plot, but it progresses slowly and you'll have to wade through filler.

Other things to look forward to:

  • One-dimensional characters.
  • Thick plot armor.
  • MC's power creep is real.
  • MC doesn't r*pe his love interest, thankfully.
This is about as standard as a modern-day cultivation can get. MC is cunning but lacks power. He finds an artifact that makes him better than his peers.

As the story progresses, he finds or does other stuff that makes him even stronger. He offends people. He kills them. He moves on to somewhere... more>> where he hasn't already killed everyone. Rinse. Repeat.

If you like repetitive, modern-day cultivation novels, you'll probably like this one. It's not for me, though. <<less

In the last 10 chapters, the words "little loli" were in about every other sentence.. The characters don't feel human, the "romance" (including this loli arc or whatever it is) is so forced, that you'd be happier if the MC turned into a 1000 year old virg*n like wang lin, the whole story and progression feels so clunky, that you often don't even really know what is happening and wether you want to know in the first place.. Also, MC hunted some weak ass doggos for 2 days like 200... more>> meters away from the city gate... he was bad at it.. ever since, the author talks about him, as if he's some sort of superman Bear Grills, expert at survival, hunting, tracking and whatnot.. How did that happen? Am I gonna be a wilderness expert too, if i'll go to pinterest and make a doggo s*x doll like the MC?

Had potential in the beginning, turned into Sonic fanfiction-like quality crap... <<less

Two words sum up this novel so far: Boring and Irrational.

I will preface this by saying that the story isn't bad, it just isn't particularly original or engaging.

It has the usual tropes: young master bs, girl outta his league bs, every girl wants the MC, MC using his ability in interesting ways to become OP, etc. and it doesn't move much beyond that.

GMC lacks anything that gets the reader to invest into the story, it's just a generic weak MC becomes OP which means that after the first 50 chapters... more>> of hope, the reader quickly becomes tired of reading endless chapters where all the characters make bad decisions just so the MC can slowly show how cool he is. This quickly becomes boring.

For the irrational aspect, there are just too many things that don't make sense in the novel which becomes more and more frustrating the more you read.

For example

Spoiler

The MC goes for his beginner pharmacist exam where he gets fked over by the vice-president of the local association.

He ends up having to have a mini competition against the vice-president's disciple (who is at the intermediate level but never went to sit for his beginner level yet because he's lazy... like wtf - this is so contrived just to setup the face slapping it's ridiculous).

In the competition they use an ingredient that only intermediate+ pharmacists should be able to refine when this is to prove that MC can be a beginner level pharmacist. Not taking into account that a competition is not an examination, how does using an intermediate grade ingredient to test for beginner level skills make sense?

And another thing that's ridiculous is how the opponent is in awe of MC's skills in one chapter then a few chapters later he's suddenly at the intermediate level for no reason. The inconsistency is aggravating.

[collapse]

another example is

Spoiler

The antagonist's family is so bad ass they can just kill whoever they want and no one does anything to them. Fine, let's go with it. BUT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO THE MC BECAUSE...?!? Doesn't make sense.

[collapse]

one last example is

Spoiler

The GMC world is based on people with abilities graded on their ability to fight against monsters.

The MC has an ability that is USELESS for fighting and yet NO ONE can beat him using their amazing abilities. It just makes me think that either everyone else in the novel is a ret*rd.

[collapse]

I'm still waiting for
Spoiler

MC to release stage 5 of his model ability to bring models into reality

[collapse]
but other than that this novel is really lacking and I would only recommend if you really have nothing else to read. <<less

There are some interesting moments, but the majority of the time the story is boring. Different characters are introduced, but it somehow feels like the MC is alone in the world. The main antagonist has become a joke, and it is surprising how he MC has not completely taking care of the antagonist.

Still think the story could improve, but right now there isn't enough chapters to truly make a decision yet.

I am most optimistic about the growth of the MC's ability. HE may only be able to make models, but if he can make permanent models of almost anything, I wonder if he would be able to use them in combat too? Thanks to gaining the special item near the start his ability gained an extra OP function, but that only helps in his growth as compared to being a combat power.

I... more>> wonder if he can model weapons permanently in the future and fight with them?

Afterall with how things have progressed so far, within the bounds the story has limited the MC is about to reach the penultimate barrier where he can no longer grow any further if something new isn't revealed. There's a limit to the theoretical growth which only accounts for knowledge and at most he could gain 10 points there. His body is reaching the limits of human growth which tops out at another 100 points. His martial fighting techniques can exceed the 400 limit thanks to his merging of stolen cards, but even then the growth is limited to an additional 100 points.

Currently the MC can only grow by a further 210 points while people with better graded abilities could far exceed him, despite it being assumed that abilities are "limitless". We must see the MC adapting new uses for his ability and ways to grow further otherwise the story would start to die of and grow stale fast :S <<less

Honestly, this novel was quite a disappointment. I liked the premise of the novel and the MC's initial ability and growth path are really interesting (especially since he isn't completely OP and has to actually work around the limitations of his abilities), but there are far too many other issues. What starts off with a somewhat alright foundation is eventually riddled with so many inconsistencies, plot holes and ret*rded logic that it's a bit of a slog to push through.

Some of the many issues:

    • Although you find out that this is set on modern Earth, the general world building is incredibly lacking and shallow. Hardly anything is explored and basically no cities are mentioned unless a major event suddenly happens there. There also isn't a single university mentioned besides the supposed biggest and best one in the world.
    • Side characters like the MC's sister are basically neglected except as a vice for some plot event, but they have little real importance or are completely forgotten as the story progresses. There was so much attention spent on how talented his sister was and how she didn't want to be a greenhouse flower so that she could help her brother out, but after the second half of the novel, she is only ever mentioned when others target her. The same is true for many families and clans.
      • Spoiler

This includes his own master. A big part of this story seemed to revolve around alchemy initially, but this is basically also dropped. His master also mentioned early on that when he was strong enough, he wanted the MC to help him with something (and this is alluded to be his return or revenge on the Zhang clan that he's from), but the author changes it to some s*upid event like protecting his daughter from the Zhang clan at the last minute. No foreshadowing to this change. His daughter is also foreshadowed to have some horrifying power that is noticed by her world esper level wolf pet, but this is also ignored later.

        [collapse]
    • The romance with the main love interest starts off as a strong theme but is basically non-existent past the initial arc.
    • The technology on Earth is pretty developed and yet, half the time when something happens related to the MC and his various identities being leaked, the author conveniently decides that no one spreads this information on the internet.
    • Spoiler

The MC has the ability to scan and replicate other's talents in the form of a card, but early on in the novel, he is warned that others can notice this and thus take action against him. The author slowly ignores this after the first school arc, probably because it was too much of a headache for him to work around.

      [collapse]
    • The complete lack of foreshadowing. No one generally enjoys massive info dumps, but there are ways to let the reader know that certain events are going to happen or to build up future scenes etc. The author just arbitrarily introduces new areas and concepts on the spot the closer you get to the end of the novel and it becomes progressively more hand wavey.
    • Power levels, abilities, and fights are complete joke towards the end and you have people jumping realms all the time while fighting in the most trivial or nonsensical ways.
        • Spoiler

During the first beast invasion on the MC's home city, it simply takes place with domain level espers and the devastation it caused nearly collapsed the city. Towards the end, you have world espers fighting on the streets of a university and there are no casualties?

          [collapse]
    • Spoiler

Zhang Yating was adamant on figuring out who was behind her death (the last time it was mentioned was probably only a chapter before it's figured out), and in the end her reaction and her personal resolution to finding out and killing the mastermind (her master) are completely ignored.

      [collapse]
    • Too many random lucky events and plot armor situations that aren't really given a great explanation for besides the idea that he's the MC. Some novels do a good job of explaining away luck but this one (like most others) did not.
    • Spoiler

The battle between beasts and humans is utterly anti-climactic

      [collapse]
    • Spoiler

The reasoning given for half the powerhouses in the world to hunt down Su Hao makes no sense

      [collapse]
    • Ending is ret*rded with how quickly it was wrapped up and how little foreshadowing there was.
    • Too many other plot holes to remember or list here
TL;DR: The overall concept of the MC's ability is pretty neat, but I think the author really struggled with planning out the novel and keeping track of details. He slowly ignores certain rules set up previously in order to make his writing easier and it just leads to countless issues and sloppy situations that are noticeably waved away (assuming the reader doesn't have the memory of a goldfish). My guess is the author slowly got tired of writing this novel and just said "f*ck it" and did his best to cleanly wrap it up as quickly as he could. A barely enjoyable read but hard to really get immersed in because of the above.

Starts off as a 4/5 but ends with a 2/5 so I'll give it a 3/5.

Probably a 3.5, but there aren't half-stars here.

I previously read -90°'s The Strongest Gene, and this is of similar quality. Some interesting ideas, some humor, not the worst writing. But characters are introduced that are later mostly forgotten about.

Don't expect a strong conclusion. It does have a conclusion, in the sense that it introduces a biggest baddie in the last few chapters, and then kills him off. So... done?

What happens with all the characters? No idea. Any glimpse into their future outcomes? Nope. Just a final "battle", and a very... more>> brief epilogue of sorts that doesn't really cover anything.

There are plenty of problems with the story (or possibly the translation). Plot-holes and mistaken details, but some of them might be chalked up to errors in the translation. There are plenty of other translation mistakes (wrong words or just plain grammatical errors). For example, near the end someone translating seems to think "stunning" and "gorgeous" are 100% interchangeable. So expect to hear about someone's "gorgeous defeat" or "gorgeous turnabout" or "gorgeous outcome".

In the end, not the worst story, but turn your brain off and ignore the details. And DO NOT expect a completely satisfying finale. <<less

How childish the author can be? What's with the abrupt and s*upid cliche start? How about creativity? I understand that on a bad day the author can write shit, but start a novel right like that? What quality to expect later?

This could have been so much better. It's set in a futuristic world and the cultivation of Espers was a wonderful addition in the already saturated "spiritual energy" market of novels.

Unfortunately, just like others have mentioned, the translation/editing is not that good so that descriptions and even storyline gets confusing. Here's an example:

"In the past years, Zhanzheng College was no more than a few thousand. And when it was small, they were not more than 1, 000 people. On average, Zhanzheng College's annual enrollment average was only 2, 000 students."

To... more>> me, that was rather confusing because I wasn't sure if they author was talking about the entire school only having a few thousand students or what. Only at the end did I feel like it might be talking about overall enrollment. I would've made some slight changes like:

"In the past years, the War College only recruited a few thousand people. There were even times when their recruitment would be so low that they only enrolled 1, 000 people. On average, the War College's average annual enrollment was around 2000 people."

There's also plenty of poorly worded sentences in each chapter so that it adds to my confusion at times. Another example:

"What did you said?"
"Xiaotian looked at Lan Tingxu, with his eyes full of furious."

So this novel could have been quite good but I took away 2 stars rating because I have to re-read sentences trying to decipher what the novel is talking about. <<less

The translation quality is a bit poor early on and I hear it gets better but the main issue are the plot holes.

Origin ability, every person has one and the rating is based one many different things however for some reason there are instances that people can tell with a glance what someone else's rating is?

Creatures have appeared and we have to fight them, for some reason they are resistant to hot weapons such as guns but the first weapon we saw was a laser pistol. When MC goes to... more>> fight creatures to collect fangs his ability already let's him create things he has seen, so he could duplicate money, fangs, that laser pistol perhaps.. Nope later on he makes a pencil.. Author should at least show if MC has attempted any of these things. Duplicating the medicine would have saved so much time. <<less

So I tried to come back to this story again... It's got a ton of potential but you'll run into a weird problem in it.

Spoiler

The author said that ability is limitless time and again in this story. But at chapter 47 the teacher basically tells him that his ability has reached its peak and that the only way to advance if through buying a better cultivation manual. This is complete and utter BS. If origin abilities had limitations then why do they matter? Isn't it better to max out the harder to master human body?

[collapse]

So I was pretty upset and went to read other reviews where I discovered that the MC only upgrades his ability through those cards in the future.
Really this isn't a terrible idea but its the way the author writes this story that gets on my nerves. Maybe this story is good in it's home language but the translation for this story is beyond terrible. Half the sentences that should have a depth of meaning are pretty blunt and straightforward.

Take this sentence:
No wonder, with only an E grade talent, you rushed all the way to 200 points. With such a degree of model analysis, I’m afraid that this ability has already reached its peak.

So the author does things like this a lot. What's it mean to rush all the way to 200 points? Didn't he spend years refining his ability? This is a Professor who is basically considering his training "rushing". It's these types of sentences that show up all over the place. Things that are hard and require effort or talent are discarded like that.

And this is the second thing. His ability has reached its peak? How so? I can think of a few dozen ways model analysis could be used combatively and other ways.

1. analysis of Terran and input of instant defensive equipment.
2. Analysis of Unknown monster and identification of weaknesses instantly
3. Analysis of tracks made and infer the originator via saved models.

and so on. He's clearly a tracking/brain type. The key is his ability has to be instant, unblockable, and allow him to fight while using it. What sucks is apparently origin abilities can be blocked. This is a total wth moment. How is a world which uses origin abilities to fight blocked so easily?

My second beef with the story starts at chapter 52. We just came from a fight with a repeater. What's completely bizarre in this fight is that the MC with 300 fitness points doesn't easily overpower a guy with 110.

This is pretty much the example of combat you'll see from beginning until now. This author does not understand combat. <<less

My real rate would be 3.5/5 so theres this is decent generic of xuanhuan story. Im actually have a good read on this.
We got usual type of CN novel, which tr*sh from beginning then suddenly get a op power upgrade which make him strong day by day. Then begin his journey to become op with a lot upgrade things.. Im not even remember whats was it after reading 20 chapter forward from that point.

After reading to 500 chapter. There's a lot forced plot- characters and ability in later chapter.... more>> Things make it worse, a lot of them suddenly fade and uncontributed to story. Here's a things im remember (dont read if u didnt want to know since its plot spoiler) :

Spoiler

After succesfully winning tourney be the best young student ever, we got another tourney for become a capital city which idk why kinda tourney are exist then forced plot say if they arent win the city got destroyed. Then edgy MC become representative after destroying their own best squad of city bcz they got his butterfly friend, which fell nonsense at all. Later, seemingly strungle in tourney solved by MC power and the arc goes just like filler because no hard at all. Then the city become capital, which actually there's a 5 capital wtf. Then beast tide incoming try to destroy city, which actually just trying to kill MC (which im not sure why his enemies know his condition and why not to try kill him earlier) and end with dead of MC from kind of butterfly betrayal (?). Resurrect MC by butterfly friends with help of emperor beast which I dont think he's appeared before. So to resurrect his butterfly friend, he need to find item of the dead emperor beast then which in hand of new emperor beast so he go to demon land. He's also get mission to teleport a nuke in demon land somehow only MC can do it, idk how hard just to nuke a land and what uses of MC. I mean they sure have satelite after all. Theres also forced plot of a supposed dead useless father which actually alive and seems support his son from shadows. Welp a lot forced plot there.

[collapse]

Anyway to make me remember the story plot altho only in general proved this is decent xuanhuan novel so try to read if you have a lot time and nothing to do. <<less

I can't understand how anyone can rate this highly. I read the raws and the main character is a damn hypocrite. He mu*ders this guy for "fighting other humans when they have a mission" then proceeds to unload his gun at some other dude also trying to complete the same mission. By the way, these main characters are often the author's power trips so this really says something about the author's personality.

There's also a ton of annoying things about "being a man" or a "woman shouldn't do this." It's just... more>> so cringy and an overused phrase/trope in Chinese entertainment.

Man the depth in the characters also differ so greatly. Some of the interactions are actual kind of human, although a little cringy, but not too bad. He acts almost like a human to his master who taught him medicine. However, it glosses completely over his interactions with any non-love interest and non-enemies. There are so many descriptions of female characteristics that really bring nothing to the story and honestly just fit with the damn shitty tropes in this genre. His enemy up to this point, that one guy from his school whose fiancee he stole is such a dumbass. He actually acts like a monkey. Like I'm not sure the author knows how to portray a human villain, so he just observed a monkey in a f*cking zoo and recorded its movements. There is so much bullsh*t "mental warfare" in the first few chapters that don't seem realistic nor align with any psychological idea.

And holy f*ck all of those reviews that say the main character is s*upid are damn right. Thus, as they say, "Read it, is shit, go read one piece instead." <<less
