The Prime Minister of Noin Kingdom, Duke Zariel has a single daughter.

She was a beauty who possessed silver hair and eyes as clear as amethyst, Christina.

Her fiancé from her childhood friend who was the First Prince of Noin Kingdom, Alberto.

Having fallen in love at once after they were engaged, she overbearingly demonstrated her love, but before anyone noticed she exhausted his civility, and without even meeting her on her fifteenth birthday, only the present arrived.

When she saw the gifted hair ornament, she suddenly realized. This different world was from a dating simulation game she played, and she wore the role of the love rival.

And now where she was at this point of time, she was in the middle of the route where her beloved Prince was stolen away by the dating simulation game’s protagonist, Clara.

The intersection of jealousy and pride leads to agony, a heartrendingly naive romance between a love stricken maiden and a young man.

It's a short and simple read with a cute story even with the epilogues that provides more meat to the story. It has all of the usual set up for the 'reborn into an otome game/romance novel as the baddie' but doesn't really rely on it which may have hindered the story moreso than helped. I will explain in the spoilers.

The whole misunderstanding parts are actually done well as compared to some stories were it's very obvious and only a fool or some supernatural force of nature would cause it... more>> to carry on.

Spoiler

The rebirth into an otome game plot point wasn't needed as it only provided a set up for how Christina as the villain will eventually lose her fiance Alberto to otome heroine Clara due to love at first site.

In these usual stories the reborn villainess does something that counters the game plot/destruction flags, or inadvertently draws the interest of the male target towards her while she work to just to come away from things happy. In this Christina just gives up and has a sort of pity party as she resigns herself to the fate of the game's plot.

With the exception of making sure that she doesn't bully or act out against Clara she does nothing but reflect on how Alberto is now in love with someone else. Even when she knows that the events of the game will still happen she doesn't put much thought into them and just carries on.

And although she never do anything Alberto never becomes attracted to the heroine because 1) Clara is immature and annoying on her own 2) he has always been in love with Christina and his feelings never wavered in the first place going against the plot of the game with no effort on Christina's part at all (unless not wearing one item had the butterfly effect and changed everything).

So she never had to do anything, there was never anything at stake. The few remembered events of the game that Christina refers to means nothing other than to further the misunderstanding between them. I was left wondering why even mention the otome game when there was never a chance of it happening given once you read the epilogue you learn that Alberto was madly in love with Christina for a long time as in long before she ever had memories of her past life and the condition of their world. Also I had to keep reminding myself and be reminded that Christina is supposed to be the main villain in the otome game but looks and her actions before and after the recovery of her memories never gives hint to a villain.

This comes down to the whole point of knowing about the otome game being pointless or Alberto's love for Christina was easily swayed in the otome game.

It really would have been better had the otome game not been mentioned and Christina just feels insecure and deluded into thinking her fiance has fallen in love with someone else.

Rant begins...

Spoiler

I really would have preferred this story to end with MC breaking off the engagement and kick off the ML who is extremely shitty and find the merchant she married in her previous life or some other normal loving guy.

ML tells MC that the FL (of the game) has just began to learn dancing so he wanted her to loosen herself by inviting her to the dance. fine. Then later when FL asked for second dance he had to "reluctantly" agree.

The f*** is that explanation. How shameless could he be. He knew dancing a second time can only happen between lovers then why the hell should he agree when he claims that MC is the one he "loved". He just pushes it off saying the FL didn't knew that one cannot dance with someone twice unless he is one's loved one BUT HE KNEW THAT RULE THEN WHY DID HE AGREE!!!???

HE can flirt around but gets pissed off when other man flirts with MC. The hell with him.

[collapse]

I did not read the epilogue as ML was not my cup of tea and after reading some reviews I feel like I am not missing anything out by not reading it, so yay.

Misunderstandings tag in this novel is baseless because HE WAS CLEARLY FLIRTING AROUND. IT IS THE TRUTH, NOT A MERE MISUNDERSTANDING.

Rant ends. <<less

For those who like simple and sweet stories, I recommend this story.

I like this story.

Especially there are Pov MC and ML from their respective perspectives. At the beginning I didn't like ML but the writer could make this story a sweet romance between them ~~~

Is a typical plot for a story of the otome genre. Although that plays a very small part of to the actual plot. So far there are 2 arcs to the story; the otome one and an arc regarding the prince's little sister, which is still in the midst of being translated currently.

Do I like it? I don't feel any particular strong feelings (I didnt expect much in the first place) but I wouldn't say I like it.

The characters are all annoying in their own way (sheep, an idiot, doesn't... more>> think before they act, etc.) Furthermore, the plot armor is pretty strong in this novel. Events and hurdles are driven on the sole fact that no is apparently able to communicate, characters are conviently looking the other way to problems (problem avoidance really), they are all idiots, and there are really convient situations.

In short, this an easy lighthearted read for anyone interested. The translation is well done. However, this is not a read for anyone looking for a fleshed out plot and characters, or for something with some substance (there is nothing to 'sink your teeth into', or become immersed in; nothing really happens.) <<less

The original story regarding the protagonist's love is a delightful read. I don't really like the Prince since he's not even an exciting Yandere to me. His lines are rather lame, but the protagonist's grief made the read worth it as I am a sucker for the jealousy she feels towards her love rival.

The after story regarding the Prince's sister's love is a bit boring. I recommend the story to the completion of the Protagonist's love, otherwise it feels like a story that has gone past it's prime due to... more>> popularity. You can read on if you want, but I'm not that interested. <<less

As the name goes Yandere Otome novel.

The MC & ML are inclined towards misunderstanding due to overthinking. YES FOLKS. Misinterpretation, drama and dialogues are a common occurrences here, oh besides the diabetes and sugary content, of course. Fret not, there's also several POV of the main characters. So it gradually dissolves the (somewhat cute) misunderstanding, like ''Does he not love me anymore?'', "Does she hates me?"

Personally, if Otome story isn't your cup of tea, then please move on to another novel.

SO.... if you're interested in reading light, fluffy, slow... more>> emotional pace novel. Then go ahead.

-1 star because:
Spoiler

it was a bit draggy with the POV. I wished author would avoid too much repetition with different POV but more or less same depiction, with draggy self-thinking. (There was almost equal POV for both female male character)

I love it! Thank you for translating this intriguing novel!

I can't wait to see the final ending of this novel!

.

The story is focused on the relationship between a noble daughter, Christina, and her fiance, the crown prince, Alberto.

Spoiler

Warning! Spoiler!

.

Christina and Alberto has fall in love with each other since they first met. Alberto, like any yandere, is very protective and possessive with his innocent and naive fiance, Christina.

Unfortunately, their relationship become a bit rocky and full of misunderstandings after the arrival of Clara, a commoner turn into noble, who looks like any innocent heroine in otomen game.

Clara has her eyes set on Alberto. Clara has many times try to make Christina looks bad in front of Alberto and everyone, while at the same time set a rumor to break Alberto and Christina's engangement. Clara know that Emil, Alberto naive childhood friend, likes her... so she use him to approach Alberto.

Fortunately, Alberto, who is madly in love with Christina, is able to reconcile with Christina. He shows her how serious his feeling is with her and how he couldn't wait to marry her.

There's a reason why "R-15" is tagged to this novel. No, it's not just because the yandere crown prince, Alberto, vows to kill everyman who looks at his fiance, Christina, wrongly.

[collapse]

What I like in this story is... it's told by third person point of view of Christina and Alberto alternately. It's kind of rare in otomen game themed novel. <<less

Read up until the main story and some side story.

Quite good.

It's basically the leading lady realizing she's in a game and knows her fiance would be stolen away from her and therefore has misunderstanding him -which I think probably is the reason that she got the happy ending?

I would have love to read what happened to the true ending where as the prince was successfully taken by that girl. Cause judging from the prince's personality I don't understand why he broke up as the leading lady saw in the game.

Srsly, this is so cringey. I imagined my 15 year old self to write this sh*t.

The prince is s*upid, like SERIOUSLY s*upid. Come on! I've never seen a prince to give in AGAIN AND AGAIN to some stuck up wh*re when he didn't really like her in the first place. And his friend is also s*upid. They're really good friends, I see.

The FL is... ugh. I really hate girls who can't stick with their principles and who lets a man to do whatever he wants to her. So little determination... more>> and just few sweet words, it's gone.

I wanted to see some face slapping but No-! I was really disappointed!!! And the Prince never learns to respect her until the end. <<less

I was reading fine and dandy...i was reading, and then the ML said 'Fl! Please tell me when you turn 16 you will marry me!' and I was like 'hold on wat?' cuz just a few paragraphs ago, they were about to go all the way to third base and she wasn't even sixteen?? Haa..

Not just that, the way he (ML) acted was so awful?? I mean, he kept hanging out with the heroine happily but never thought once to reassure the FL that it was nothing? Yet he saw... more>> her with a guy ONCE and he nearly lost it. While the heroine. Was. Next. To. Him.

Seriously?!

As with other reviewers, it also bothered me that he seemed to quickly fall out of love with the FL in the real story. despite going as far as saying he'll kill other men or kill himself for her.

Tbh at this point the only reason I'm continuing this is because some people said the ML pov were cute so ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯ <<less

It's quite a good read. After all problems and misunderstandings being cleared, the leads became more open to each other and more hot for each other (LMAO)

However, the main problem here lies on Prince sending wrong signals despite him liking Christina thus creating misunderstandings and heartache to Christina.

I can understand some of his decisions is for Christina's sake. But he is dumb to be swayed by his friend to help in wooing Clara creating opportunity for Clara's evil schemes. How can't he see the uproar it cause to society?... more>> Is he really that insensitive?

I think the Prince really love the Christina even in their previous life but they was just separated due to misunderstandings and Clara's scheme. <<less

Too much misunderstandings I hate miscommunicating couples. That it I also believe their relationship is toxic and distrustful.

But the translation quality is good I just don't like the characters.

The story seems rather lackluster honestly. I don't care for the ML in the slightest. I don't mind yanderes, but he's just off-putting. If he holds this yandere love for her, his actions in the original plotline don't make sense. In the current plotline, he shows his obsession but it's not endearing in the slightest. His lines are probably intended to be "suave" and "sadistic", but they only come across as cringey. Quite frankly, he basically mol*sts her and she just goes along with it because he's her "beloved Alberto-sama".

The... more>> heroine herself isn't bad, but I find her incredibly frustrating at times. Despite being reincarnated, she has no common sense or knowledge. She's so, so naive and she can't do anything by herself. Because of her status as the prince's fiance and his own actions, she's weak to advances and blushes at every little thing. The relationship, if you can even call it that, is completely toxic and I sincerely hope no one wishes for this kind of romance. I'm giving it an extra star simply due to the quality of the translation. <<less

Reincarnated ? Fluffy love story? Nah!

The ML is just plain tr*sh/scum and egocentric.

The MC are so naive and weak to the point that its really irritating.

It’s unacceptable to see the ML flirts around and then treat the MC like she’s some kind of easy women that he can push/pull around. And the so called undying love that the ML has for the MC is just a plain joke.

What is this googly eyes shit. (The characters) They don’t have an ounce of common sense. *Caution brain mush hazard*⚠

I gave it up before and I did it now too... I will not pick it up again, it’s in my never to return file (why did I return!? Orz) The characters are sooo one dimensional/stereotyped that it is just plain boring and one can see the author dragging the spent horse that the story is by adding so many “extras”.

The game element plays almost no part other than the initial shocking memory and Christina is too lovely for this world. I felt her feelings were very genuine and her frustration combined with her intense love was very satisfying to read. She's a very lovable character who has a surprisingly low self esteem for her stature. Tbh she deserves better than Alberto but oh well. Alberto is truly an idiot.

From Christina's story he's vaguely detestable but after reading his story I conclude he's simply an idiot that loves her too... more>> much to function sometimes. The after story is fun to read and I'm glad Christina has her happy times. The translation quality is good and the descriptions were pretty nice especially regarding Christina's tumultuous feelings.

Overall, A cute misunderstanding filled romance with a happy ending and an especially cute female lead. <<less

Pros, if you find entertainment with a lady that seems always experiencing or expressing an naive 'eh?' moment accompanied by a yandere pair. Sure.

Cons, see above.

Its a double edge combination. There are typical mushy cliche lines, that makes you question their authenticity because its that cringey, it gets its work done.

The main story is good. Definitely reccomend reading that, but the epilogue is s*upid.

  1. Christina all of a sudden, in inopportune times, doesn't understand basic english and goes all s*upid when Alberto goes all yandere. It's infuriating to see it happen so many times. He doesn't even do a double meaning in his words, it's plain cut and simple. The way the author made her out as a character is s*upid. It was good the first few times, but it gets annoying real quick.
  2. Tobias is a bit*h who doesn't deserve happiness. He doesn't respect women. I don't care if he has a tragic backstory. He doesn't deserve happiness. Anyways the author is in a long hiatus and we are left with no expansion of Tobias' character. He is left as an a**hole.
  3. Marx is weird as shit, his intentions is all over the place. He doesn't stick to a single road? If that makes sense; he says one thing and acts another way.
  4. Alberto needs to stop being such an insecure piece of shit. I get that he's a yandere, but damn Christina has done nothing and he acts up. No trust, so why marry.
  5. Anna is okay.
  6. Irene is pitiful because she got caught in between whatever problem Tobias has. What a dick, hate that guy.
It's not even finished and it does not... more>> seem like it will finish. Just read the main story, the epilogue is not good. <<less

Spoiler

the male lead was so in love with her to the point where he basically manipulates her and to think that just because our FL spilled tea on that Clara's dress along with other villainy shit, he suddenly lost all POSSESSIVENESS towards our FL? Nah. People like him who can't even bear to be apart of their soulmate would never find any fault in their significant other. Let alone immediately leave them for some uneducated chick. Even he himself said that Clara was ill-mannered. He clearly had zero interest lmao. So why the sudden change? Overall it was okay I guess. 4/10. Won't really recommend it but give it a try if it intrigues you.
