I have been enjoying another of this author's work with a similar starting premise (fat, ugly MC becomes beautiful and powerful), but this one is much less enjoyable.

The MC rarely does anything proactively and it can be very frustrating to see him just doing nothing when people are in danger. That being said, the work is a total "comedy" and it seems pretty clear that nothing bad is going to happen as a result of his inaction (although bad things do continue e.g. He seems to have no interest in... more>> saving the adults of his school from prison).

The most frustrating part to me though is that he hates his own ability. <<less

i left this wn alone since some of the reviews put me off but now ive finally started reading, I cant stop.

mainly the story is great and fun, though s*upid. Id definitely put it int he same vein as In a Different World with a Smartphone

theres nothing serious is this wn, the MC isnt cringeworthy even though he's shy and its more like he gets dragged around by circumstances.

'x conveniently happened' - yeah, this is the premise from the start so it really fits and doesnt seem out of place... more>> like it would in a novel where the MC is struggling to gain power to defeat a big bad <<less

TBH the novel is pretty good, but the MC cowardly and inferiority character to his surrounding is too much, his power is already too strong to began with except in start up chaper.

What's up with how strong the opponent is? His state already superior from them.

The strories and world view is excellent but the MC personality building is zero

If there's some things which I can say bad about this series... it's the tsukkomi of the protagonist and that he doesn't reciprocate the love of the women who loves him when he's still on Earth. Yeah, I know that he's already in love with the gorilla but he can still make them his mistresses to return their deep love to him as they accepted him even when he's ugly and smelly but no, he treats them as tr*sh although he treats them as friends.

comedy : 10/10

i get good laugh in here, most of the laugh came from "Tsukkomi", absurdities, also how this come to happy end each problem with... comedy.....

story : 5/10

... more>> Too absurd, too cliche, even more, TOO ABSURD (yeah twice the absurd than cliche), you will find it boring

char development : 7/10

cliche, anyone who stick with MC will get stronger, except the MC, their growth is less to know in the story, the positive side, any of heroine have solid background to like the MC

all score : 5/5
Why? I enjoy the read for laugh, , while the story is cliche and toooooooo happy for MC, the comedy in it is offsetting the story development, don't take this as serious story (Yet ?) just as happy go lucky MC with his Heroine <<less

This novel is slightly boring from chapter 30 to 50 but it really gets better after that. Definitely worth reading even if the MC can be a bit of a cringelord at times.

I have to agree with Glue on their overall review, however I still find the series fairly enjoyable... kinda taking on a slice of life feel. Though for me this also further implicates weak writing as well as the overly cringe moments. Basically the author made fun of other series with their general isekai tropes but it has gotten a bit out of hand after the first arc.

I like this one a lot. The story is very good and the humor is good enough to keep you amused. It would get full marks from me except that the writing at times becomes very amateurish and can be nonsensical in places. The story is generally well thought out but the author loses track of small details a lot that can make you scratch your head at times. If you can read between the lines and overlook the little things it is definitely worth reading.

Rather average isekai novel. Funny at the start but gets boring kind of fast because the MC is too wimpy. The author tries to make the MC relatabe while also making him extremely overpowered which creates a strange dissonance since he is the strongest in the world but acts like he was a useless piece of sh*t (kind of stays ignorant of his own overpoweredness). Other than that it isn't bad. Kind if generic isekai novel, generic harem but still can be enjoyed with the right expectations. I would give... more>> it a 4.5 stars but I'm trying to rate this objectively to be able to inform any type of readers. Also the best part of the story is about to come. <<less

I dont mind dumb MC, I dont mind OP MC. But this novel have both in one. And he is 80% dumb 20% OP 100% clueless. His inferiority complex is extreme to the extreme. Seriously. I give this 3/5 Stars. If you can get past the early stages of the novel where he screams like an idiot in a dangerous place nonstop even though he should know it is s*upid by instinct, you can probably handle most of the latter parts. If you cant handle it then dont. Go pick... more>> up other novel. Aside from that this is a pretty decent novel.

Spoiler

Common reasoning would say MC turned out that way due to being bullied a lot in school. But from his childhood friend's views it seems that he is actually a kind and smart kid. Which makes his early attitude on being clueless about everything extremely contrary to what he should be like. He only started closing up after his parent's death, yet he still keep close with his friends, even going to the same school as them, only he stays alone to not bother his friends unintentionally.

Ordinarily things should go somewhere between Arifureta and the normal hero summoning. He would start with being in despair for his future in a foreign world, get separated from the group of heroes, and later reappear in front of everyone being OP, and having a definite aim. The MC here does seems almost exact MC from Arifureta, except he doesnt seem to have any wish for life. He doesnt want to die, but doesnt care about living either, kinda like a zombie? He also doesnt like to think, shortbrained, jump to action too soon, think too much, and being weird overall. (I wrote this weirdly). As the usual with virg*n lone bullied MC, he doesnt have selfconfidence and gets shy with a simple ero act.

Reading this from the very beginning is making this novel has potential. I give this novel 5 rating because I like it from different point of view. I see that many fellow readers are disappointed by the sudden mellowed development of the story.

They complained that this novel started with cool story and ended up with total B.S. Or called fillers. But from my own, I think it's OK because this novel's genre have comedy in it. So it's kinda upsetting the team who do it for us or belittling the... more>> author who do it. Comedy is one of this novel main point.

Now other problem I see is, some reviews I read are "uneven". I mean, I don't know, perhaps it's my own interpretation but, most of them only give review from their heart and not read it or scan it thoroughly. I pick this novel is just for investment on my most free time. So I never look this novel with scornful eyes or such and this novel really hooked me up. But unfortunately the update is too long for me. But that's doesn't mean I hate the novel, I blame that on the team or individual who do it. But then again, I understand why they took it too long.

Much of the story is base on the protagonist POV. But that doesn't mean his "habits" is becoming demerits for this novel. It's his character development created by the author. So whoever complain because of his "habits", your complaints are in VAIN. Now how much you belittling the MC or this novel unless you're one of the prestigious or famous critics, perhaps the author will look it up (but that seems impossible). Just shut up and read it thoroughly and if possible enjoy it too will ya?

I'm asking that because next time I hope there's no one sided review or I classified it as ranting. Yes, just like this one.

Now that's derailed a bit.

This novel I recommended only for those who seek both intense/action story and fillers as it not really serious for fellow readers. There's too many funny moments in it and really heal my mind after certain serious situation. <<less

its good novel but forcing a lover in one go I think is bad, cause when you want to prolonged the story especially if there's harem it became bad especially when the author focus on comedy too much that ruined the whole novel. But the 1st arc is really good especially the seed of evolution and saria (bishoujo) but after that it became down hill

Story: some good ideas poorly developed. A LitRPG isekai comedy full of dungeons, levelling, a magic school complete with a tournament and maid cafes, skill lists and numbers. Some surprises but not many.

Characters: a dense protagonist surrounded by large breasted fawning girls, quirky adventurers and evil baddies and monsters. No real character development other than cliches.

Setting: various standard settings found in LitRPG isekai. You know what they will be.

Style: Raising the Dead translations are very readable. MashinTrans4mer not so good

Honestly this gives me a arifureta vibe. Its actually almost a copy. Just with a little more comedy, and less about revenge at least as of now. Faster romance which isn't always a bad thing. Can't wait til he meets the class again. Look for people who are thinking about reading this just know it's not gonna be one of your favorites (for majority of people) but it can be enjoyable still. Seriously just give it a chance and don't drip it because of a s*upid reason like the... more>> helmet on ch.18 like a reviewer said. Imma still read this whether it good or not ill find out towards the end. Nothing else to read right now anyways. What can I say? My dirty pleasure is harem, romance, and op characters. <<less

Good enough for me to read up to this point... The author has a weird sense of humour, i.e. there are lots of "tsukkomi", like some chapters are just funny/straight man sort of thing. I wish he used his skills a little more, and that we could see the stats of more things, but that's just me

Like other people have said, it starts promising but the MC, Seiichi, is so... incompetent that it hurts the story.

I like him overall but it's a pain how he continuously refuses to use or acknowledge easy, common-sense answers to his problems to the point where it starts to grate. His constant over-the-top "I'm so surpriiiiiiiiiiiiised!" reactions are funny at first but get old fast. I also dislike his reaction to his own OPness -- it bugs me when MCs get upset and complain because they have too many powers.

All the... more>> elements of a good LitRPG LN are here, but if you like smart or skilled MCs then I should warn you that this is going to be a very frustrating read. <<less

As many have noticed, there is a strong vibe of the MC being a coward even though he is strong. Please don't let that naive point of view dictate how you should enjoy this novel. Strength is not always just the ability to overpower your adversaries, but also to know when and where you should truly use that power and not become a dictator 'just because I have the ability to do so.'

Review: It's nice. It isn't amazing, but neither is it bad. Take my paragraph above with a grain... more>> of salt. <<less
