The world is full of rainbows and unicorns to him, MC if not op is just some tr*sh that wouldn’t know how he died. He couldn’t adapt to new world still thinking or having the same mentality as before which is not normal. Even animals can adapt to different living environments let alone a human being who has intelligence. I don’t expect him to be a genius at anything but damn does he frustrate me, but than again what do I expect of a JP MC.

Enough to entertained me.

MC is not a protagonist that is likeable. If he's not OP he's a 'bland character with unlikeable personality'

It feels like I got an expectation to him to do the things that 'I would like' in a certain scenario but he's not gonna do IT! And it keeps happens! (But I endured it and continue reading)

... more>> Romance is not possible because MC would never cross the line because they treat them as 'family' (cringe? Wholesome? Idc it's one step closer!)

That being said I'm still gonna read it until he punches the goddess in the end which is the "point of the story". <<less

This light novel is surely a good one, but only for those who like to see the plot and story exploration. And you will see that the author doesn't really has attachment toward the MC, but more into the story itself. Because, if the author decided to kill the MC after certain point in the story where ppl around him has "mature", the story can keep going.

The MC surely not the brightest or the smartest one and also has the same generic attitude with other MC on the same harem genre WITHOUT ROMANCE (i have to make sure ppl read this part, so they know what to expect), dense and p*ssy or something like that (that's what the other who doesnt like it told us), moreover the way he see the other world is too naive maybe it was because of living peacefully in his original world. But, at some point he will surely realize that mistake.

Anyway with a really good story development, those things about MC doesn't really matter. It still will attract your curiousity toward the next chapter, toward the continuation of the story, toward the ending of it. It will make you want to know what's going to happen next, what will happen to that world in the future and so on.

The author did a good job in adding a new plot, scheme, and story development. In conclusion, it worth to read!

From early on, it just reeks of generic tr*sh, the protagonist to me at least, is extremely annoying, some people will like it because it hits what their niches are. But even within a niche genre, it's generic and uninspired, why should I read this instead of, say... there's just so many out there, such as Death March, boring as I find it at least it has some merits.

To give a run through of the basic setup, we got our MC, who gets transported to a ruin wasteland world by... more>> gods, one who's chill but and deletes his p*rn, when was this made exactly? 2013, yes, shame the p*rn. Then there our evil goddess who treats the MC like sh*t and prefers his, twin sisters. All because of a prank, and that's how the MC describes it as.

Guy gets transported to another world for some reason or another, ho boy, what light novel series, or Chinese novel am I reading today. With it being Isekai, that really says something because there are tons of bad shitty isekai novels and this is not even funny, or anything really. It's worse to be truly generic rather than extremely bad. Because on another glance, I would never pick this up. Maybe it gets better later on, but it doesn't fill my niches immediately and doesn't attract my attention. It doesn't

He also kills a two-headed hound after 3 days of arriveing while being dehydrated and hungry I assume, like he puts his foot through the hound. After Tsukiyomi (The good that likes him) says he mediocre and physically bad, despite him being in an archery club. And he refuses this orc lady, and then like a day later it turns out he pisses of a dragon clan, or water ever and that's where I went, I have better things to do than to read a shitty boring isekai. <<less

The story gets 10x better at ch 200+.

Most of the action are at those chapters. At that time everyone will know how strong and rutless is the MC, he's so calm to the point even an emotionless terminator will hide in shame. Still no harem, which is good because he's not a h**ny MC.

The plot is good. The mystery about his power got unravel one by one. The story about his frightening talent and fate bending will of a Makoto.

... more>> Pls read it at least up to ch 220+.

It will be good. <<less

Light novels/web novels are a form of media that I often consume in a manner of simply reading the first 10-30 chapters or so and dropping. No matter how much I enjoy the starting premise, they often don't grasp onto what I love about the stories to start with. They never have faith in their own ideas and retract back into the tropes that exist in every other book and when I start to think that, it has immediately failed to immerse me into the story. This is something that... more>> Tsuki go Michibiku Isekai Douchuu manages to do very well (but not flawlessly).

So I'm just going to say right now that I came from the manga. I read the manga as far as it had been adapted at the time. Which was around chapter 45 of the web novel. At that point, I felt that the way that the story started was actually pretty good at establishing a somewhat sympathetic protagonist. He then immediately gains 2 female companions in quick succession that really have you thinking that it's about to devolve into the standard massive harem. Not helped by the way that the writing establishes very early on that the main characters are massively overpowered as far as humanity is concerned. But the author showed a lot of restraint from this point on and really turns that expectation against the reader to start subverting some notions.

Now, I was lukewarm about the story at that point but I was actually enough of a fan of the two female leads' personalities that I was willing to continue the story from that point on. And I'm not going to spoil what exactly happens after this. But this is the point where the author started really playing around with how our innocent, childish protagonist would react to a tragedy that directly affects people that he loves and cares about. But not just any tragedy. A tragedy that was caused by several layers of the main character's naivety and failure to manage the resources around him. It was harrowing and led to one of my favourite scenes in a novel.

It blew me away when I realized later that this moment had such a massive impact on how the MC approached issues from this point onward. But that impact was so subtle and I guess preyed a bit on my biases as a reader of other isekai media. This is what allows the main character to be s*upidly overpowered, yet still be sympathetic and somewhat relatable. His flaws and screw-ups as a character really do reflect how ignorant and reckless a person would get after being handed power the way he was.

The story from this point on becomes a giant web of associations, factions, betrayals and secrets that gripped me for a good majority of it. There were a few times that the story really lost me and I think there were probably a total of ~15 chapters that I outright skipped and didn't feel hindered in my understanding of the narrative at all. But out of 295 chapters, I think that's still fairly healthy.

The last thing I'm going to mention in detail is that I love how it takes ideas from other isekai stories and shows us just how messed up the generic heroic isekai protagonist really is by having 2 of the major characters being the stereotypical charismatic hero and the stereotypical harem protagonist. Their interactions with the MC are some of my favourite parts of the series as a whole.

The most important thing about what this series does very right is that it knows what makes it special and embraces it. It doesn't regress into the trope of becoming a student when he's completely overpowered, and even makes fun of that idea. It doesn't have the main character fighting the demon lord just because someone told him that demons are bad. It retains its appeal from start to current (since it's not actually done yet). So if you like the feel of the start, I implore you to keep going because it only gets more fascinating from then on. <<less

Tsuki no Michibiku Isekai Douchuu is a novel with an unexciting, relatively cliche premise that just barely manages to surpass the average of the genre. It explores a lot of ideas that make it feel deep, but ends up disappointing at the very end. What we end up with is something that just caught right between average and good, and the unfortunate result of that is it is dragged down to the depths of mediocrity.

Whether it is the writer being a bit inexperienced or just too careful, a series that... more>> starts out feeling a bit different ends up falling into many of the pitfalls of the genre, and sort of stagnating in quality. Characters, starting out as more than their trope-like bases, end up just a bit lacking, and the story greatly lacks the direction that it needed to find a long time ago. Unlike the average CN novel, there isn't often a clear goal within the JP Isekai genre, and it really shows in this novel. Although the series starts out strong, without that central drive, it sort of runs out of ideas, just a little too shy to approach some of the more difficult questions it implies. The end result is something that strings you along like webnovel tradition. Although it doesn't rely on cliffhangers, it presents these hints of strength, and then misses the mark enough times to feel like just another chapter-to-chapter filler novel.

Worldbuilding:

Tsuki has a pretty well built world, with some effort being put in to make the world feel alive outside of the main characters influence. The world is a bit shallow, but given the genre, a large amount of depth isn't really necessary for success. Even though I call it shallow, it's definitely not phoned in: there is clear indication that the author spent time making sure the world works internally. The end result is something you enjoy more than you feel like you should, and that's good enough.

Characters:

The characters are stand out in Tsuki, and not just because they aren't pure cardboard cutout tropes. Makoto is far more interesting than his bland beginning shows, and the rest of the characters have their fair share of depth. At the same time, its not the type of novel to try and make everybody seem like a good guy: There are pretty good implications of good and evil even within its naively optimistic themes. What I appreciated most was that the character interactions felt natural, and that whatever sort of conversations of such went on weren't forced so that the series could keep introducing new characters or plot points. Things flowed fairly well after the rocky start.

Story Development:

Finding a cohesive and intersting plot is where so many of this genre ends up falling apart, and unfortunately Tsuki is no different. Makoto doesn't have the desires to drive the plot himself, and the world isn't aggressive enough to force him to move either, and the end result is something plodding and frankly boring at times. The series heavily lets down in terms of suspense, with the main characters absurd powers, but doesn't even manage to match the compelling storyline of something like One Punch Man, though the latter is far more simple from a plot standpoint. What results is something halfway between adventure and slice-of-life, with not enough excitement for the former and not enough complexity for the latter.

Enjoyment:

Tsuki has a rocky start, but its middle chapters, from ~45 to ~170 are pretty strong. From there, the series feels like it loses momentum. Things become even more simple for our ludicrously overpowered protagonist, with none of the enemies really building up, and his personal complexities get pushed down for cheesy interactions between the main cast, with not enough development in that part to really feel fun. After the Sophia arc, I felt reading it was like chasing after an arc of that quality since, and nothing really comes close enough to really be good.

I think Tsuki is worth a read if you haven't experienced much of the Japanese side of web novels, though it probably shouldn't be the first. For people who like the genre, it's pretty good, but if you don't really like OP JP protagonists, go ahead and skip it. <<less

Transported to another world. OP MC. Good character design. Interesting story. Some combat scenes. Some comedy. Some drama. Some mystery stuff. Alot of fantasy stuff.

And the list goes on. It got everything. It's like you are reading slice of life novel. When you finish reading a chapter you just want more.

I enjoy reading it alot. Recommend to anyone that likes reading novels

The light novel started off very strong but gradually got worse to the point I was thinking of dropping it. The main character as up to what I've read is terrible to the point that any other character in the light novel could do a better job. He lacks basic common sense to say the least but the light novel gives hope of getting better and actually giving character growth so I'll stick with it for a few more chapters but overall it is poorly done and need to be... more>> looked over and rewritten. <<less

This novel is good one. (Not better or best).

It's something like that if u have nothing to do or don't find any good novel to spend you can read this novel.

You can see harem tag there ↑ no? I don't know if it could call harem but didn't see actually any major heroine throwing themselves to MC. Well about harem I m still confused. But hey, major female characters are really interesting. If you do read you can understand what I am saying.

And about MC being OP thing. MC is... more>> OP but it's not God level or highest stage level. But he is OP and didn't lose the chapters I read so far. Well MC got narrow victory because his lack of experience.

I will give review again after I read all translation chapters. :) Edit after reading 220

I don't want to change my previous opinion. But want to add something. This story is going to dark route. Messed up politics. Random thinking of people etc etc. This is almost vomiting. Well I enjoy political novel though this novel has no base and is too messy.

Spoiler

I mean MC is too naive. He is saying he has no interest in war but he will bring down goddess so I think he is almost involving him with war and politics. But that's not the damn problem even if he want to go against a goddess he should done some ground work but the thing I m seeing he is just saying I'll kick that bug but he is actually loitering around and depending on his OP power. It'll be still plausible if this noble were none political where OP isn't everything but its actually is political and dark one. So I'll decrease the rate 1. If this novel end up having no ground work of MC and decrease 1 for wasting my tym. That's mean I am not dropping this novel and have some expectation toward MC. I call him now immature n naive I hope he will graduate from that like "seven" novel MC Or if you want to follow neutrality attitude just be like "konzuki no word master (?) " or if it remain dark political novel I hope die all people and shitty bug from that world and they live happily ever after on Asora. Last part was joke anyway.

A nice power fantasy

The plot is ok but the MC is so ridiculously OP that there are really no dangers, even his servants can be considered OP and they are way below him so the occasional focus on power is just redundant and the social element of building his city is pointless because we know the end objective is to implant modern japanese moral values into the fantasy culture

This story is not meant for deep analysis and it must be just enjoyed as it comes, if you do that then... more>> is really enertaining <<less

You shouldn't believe some of the reviews cause it's obvious that some dropped it before the major events. Makoto isn't just your simple naive MC. Neither is he a cool and smart OP. He tries his best to strive for his companion's and the Mamono's safety and ideal. It's not that he's spineless, but he obviously doesn't have the talent to become your ideal MC which is very chuuni. And that's one part of the fun of this novel. I suggest you read until the latest before dropping it if... more>> it doesn't suit your taste. 3/5. Recommend only up to the first major battle or so (then pretend the MC died for a better story)

Good example of why you shouldn't make your MC super OP unless you're going for satire.

Spoiler

When you have the MC literally slap around one of the strongest beings in the world as soon as he appears..... then have him power up EVEN MORE, that prevents any decent story telling as all suspense is lost unless the antagonist ass-pulls some s*upid power.

[collapse]

Started off strong with an interesting twist (he didn't ask for this /deus ex), introduced interesting characters (Tomoe, Mio, etc), had decent antagonists (various nations, goddess, etc), & even flips a few reincarnator cliches on its head. Unfortunately granted MC too much power.

As others have pointed out, the story quickly falls apart after MC's first major battle. At that point even the sidekicks/characters are more interesting than the MC but due to the author's lack of character building nearly everything takes place "off panel" where MC's sidekicks just handle all his problems for him while fawning over him for being a moronic powerhouse that only operates on cliches.

Spoiler

Yet another reincarnator novel where the world can only exist due to the sheer s*upidity of its denizens. (Literally nobody except for reincarnators have decent combat knowledge.) Handwaved by claiming they just "relied on the goddess blessing too much" which quickly falls apart when you realize there's actually an adventurer's guild that nearly everyone is already a part of who routinely fight to-the-death battles against strong monsters without goddess blessings.....

People complained about the MC is weak willed and indecisive, but if you think about it carefully it’s logical since... he is just a plain normal High School boy.

There’s no way he can fight properly considering his experience in life and death battle is zero. Unlike other WN MC who suddenly becomes a Martial Art master who can defeat other worlder that clearly have more experience than him.

It’s a realistic portrayal of how pathetic we will be when we got transported suddenly to another world. Even with cheat.

It's a story where the uglier you look, the weaker you got, and vice versa but then the MC came in and wreak havoc (well, not really) with his op power even with mediocre face (now you understand why I like this WN? good looking person could go and explode....).

MC is your typical clown with inferiority complex due to him being normal amidst his good looking family. He should be OP as f*ck, but his behavior is beta as f*ck. The story is quite similar to slime rimuru.

It feels like the author want to depict the MC as a clown character who turns bad ass when you mess with his family. but sadly the author is failed to execute his idea but then again there's some enjoyable moment, and it's not entirely bad. The comedic moment is nice.

MC's interaction (mainly influenced by his companion) to his surrounding is quite nice. The action scene is weak. The characters (beside MC, MC is so so) are enjoyable, its colorful, especially the heroes and MC's companion (honestly, his companion shine to bright compared to the MC himself) <<less

I'm not good with reviews but I'm still going to give my opinion, in the chapters I've been watching this series I find it very underrated and rightly so the arcs are slow makoto seems like a copy and paste of any other protagonist the secondary characters only exist for the convenience of the prota etc. but this is where most people get it wrong the side characters like tomoe mio and shiki don't exist just to serve makoto (well mio does) they have their own points and often question... more>> the prota often not only that shiki doesn't like a lot of things about makoto, tomoe being an immortal and very old dragon finds emotion in makoto and wants to serve him but also tries to impose a path for fear that he can become without makoto realizing it, mio is someone who lives only for makoto and sees everything else (except tomoe and shiki) as extras or if much secondary that he wouldn't mind killing if it's for makoto.

Well I'm getting long finally let's talk about makoto and the plot, makoto is what I would call a ¨monster¨ in human skin, a person who has a deep darkness that covers with his values obtained in Japan is naive but not clumsy or good or kind he only holds that darkness because his Japanese values always tell him that there is always someone to judge him that's why at one point in the story he admires hibiki so much because he feels that she is the proof of this, until he meets tomoki and sees that even a "hero" behaves like that and is not judged by this same makoto is disappointed in himself and the hero, he seems to me a character with a lot of potential and room for improvement.

Now the plot... The plot is slow VERY slow and it seems to me the worst of the series there is no goal or anything that can against makoto, recently they put tamaki and the ¨minor¨ gods but also the plot of aion, the truth this series could be among the best of the isekai if the author was not so afraid to get out of his comfort zone where makoto is unbearable and very s*upid.

World building 6/10 we are given very little to look forward to and almost no context but it still has the benefit of the doubt.

plot 2/10 very wasted

Protagonist 8/10 I love how they are treating him and he still has a lot of room for improvement as he is falling apart.

Main secondaries (tomoe. mio shiki and hibiki) 8/10 are also very good and with room to grow

Secondary (asora remembrant kings and princes) 5/10 very wasted still to see Lily is the most interesting of all

Motivations (mio tomoe makoto and the heroes) 7/10 all his impulses make sense and are clear, hibiki has the best motivation and advances although sometimes prejudices and his s*upid analyzes win him, tomoe, mio and tomoki are lazy but I don't know forced feelings.

Padding -2/10 the worst thing about this series is its useless and pointless padding

rating chap 237 8.3/10 if you have the time, patience, and understand the characters

5-7/10 if you don't have the time or desire to read the series filler

I take it back do not read this is a waste of time, I got to chapter 361 and I have to say that the author left the novel and is writing anything I think he wants to focus on his light novel and leave his web novel because he left everything he had built for a generic isekai with nothing new to offer but filler to the s*upid seriously is irritating <<less

The novel is good, no joke. But after the author gone hiatus and all, I feel the author lost his way a bit here. Before that the novel is a masterpiece, but after that the story goes haywire. The author just want to stretch the story so that it doesn't end, that's what I honestly feel. I won't go to the details but the main storyline got abandoned, the stories just go on and on with just what I feel is side stories, even though there are proper side stories... more>> already.
