- There are no Truck-san in this series so it's +1 in my book
- Nice pacing
- Healer job with a Taijutsu skill hence I think that's why the title are "Invincible Saint".
- A worker level-headed adult that get reincarnated, and not some h**ny dog who only think about s*x.
-
- Huge discrepancies in the behaver of the MC. Firstly it started awesomely good. We get a lot of info about MC, we get a good story about how he died, we get good motivation for his choices. And then in situation where coward MC got tons of bodyguards and he needed to venture into dangerous forest what he does? That's right more than 30 mans are hoarding the horses and he gets only 4-5 with himself
.
I really wanted for this novel to go into human management rout where he stays safe and most thing are done by his companions but ofcorse that's not going to happen. Despite all "uniqueness" of this story it the same old typical Japanese MC. Sorry, that's more like a rant then a legit review, but I just had to write it o/ <<less- Hard-working MC: The hardest
working I've ever seen. Hard work is rewarded more than natural talent in this story, which is something I like to see.
- Well Developed Cast: Not just the main character but a majority of the side characters and a good portion of the villains are well fleshed out over the course of the story.
- Multidimensional Villains: As stated above, a good portion of the villains are fleshed out as well, and most of them aren't inherently evil. They're not just black and white they're gray, blue and red as well. Not to say that straight 'good vs evil' is bad, but it's refreshing to see villains who have a reason for their villainy.
- Adequate Worldbuilding: Though at the beginning it appears generic the world is slowly unraveled over the course of the story.
- Great Translation: During my readthrough I barely ever noticed more than a few major grammatical errors. Mostly only minor spelling errors that even printed books will often have and this is despite (as the translator put it) the author having a terrible sense of flow.
Cons:- Plot/Direction: It starts out great and well organized, but as the story goes on it gets more and more convoluted and jumbled. The last few Arcs seem too forced and every time the main character seems to be on the cusp of making a decision on what he wants, some emergency happens and he has to make a sudden change to them, making the plot seem too rushed.
- The Romance Goes Nowhere:
Spoiler
[collapse]
I suspect that the cause is that the author doesn't know how to write romance, and doesn't want to be shallow, (considering how well developed the characters are.) So he hoped inspiration, on that front, would strike a few hundred chapters in.
- Naming Sense: Well it's better than in many of the other books I've read but is still quite lacking.
Spoiler
[collapse]
Though he did an adequate job of naming the countries and most of the main cast (but not all).
Conclusion: Anyway, overall it's a good novel, but has its drawbacks as well. TLDR?: Read the underlined words and conclusion. (Though I feel slightly sad, since it's one of the few novels I've read and felt was worth spending my time to review... since I've joined at least.)There are already two well fleshed out potential love interests (and two other 'yet to be' developed ones.), but dispite his dream of settling down, starting a family and having a peaceful life, he has shown no real interest in any of them besides the fact that two of them were prophesied (by different but involved parties) to have chemistry with him (which I haven't seen any of). Those two are a lot less developed as well.
A bear-like man named Broad (one of the main cast) and Durahaha (I can't take this name seriously) for example.
