A fighting genius.

In grade 6, Choi Hyuk killed someone. He then promised his mother that he would never fight again. He spent his school days being bullied and blankly staring out the window.

One of the most immersive novel i've ever read, good description of fight and omega translation.

Every part is satisfying (beginning from end) and the concept of karma is enjoyable.

One of my favourite novels I have ever read. The emotions the characters feel are so extreme yet feel so rational and real. Not once did I ever think "okay, this is going a bit far, no way they'd do that" as the characters are fleshed out enough to where that's the exact reaction you would expect from them. I gave it a 5/5 only because I couldn't give it an even higher review.

Very intense ride! This is a very interesting novel. The themes of revenge, rage and depression are present till the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and especially how the author crafted everyone’s ability to their personalities.

If you like action and vengeance you will appreciate this story.

This looks really interesting too bad there are so few chapters but I will try to update when there is more content, so far it's about a fighting genius MC who ends up in killing games where there will probably be different objectives and rewards etc but so far he is mainly made to kill people in his school. Has a bit of a gamer system with strength control etc and you get skills as rewards when completing certain objectives.

Here's my 2-cents about sovereign of judgement: A wonderful start, cool pacing, but I couldn't give three hundred shits about these aliens and how big the scope of the world gets (all Hail Choi Hyuk the Demon King of rage)

This novel was better than the synopsis made it sound, but it's painfully obvious that Choi Hyuk is an MC that never loses. The fight scenes are nice tho, don't get me wrong at all. MC powers are self-explanatory and easy to picture. The side characters are cool, but don't... more>> really help the MC (because the MC never loses), and are pretty much just placed there so that the MC isn't a forever loner and has some friends he can talk to.

However, I still read 94 chapters of this simple novel, just because I long for some OP MC content every once in a while. It's a pretty damn good novel for the OP MC trope, especially when you're comparing it to some Toika/Toy Car works (EX: Everyone Else is a Returnee), but it's not anything special.

Honestly this novel just gets harder to read as you go. The first 3 arcs were really nice to follow, especially since they paced it really well and made sure the reader wouldnt get bored of the same events. However after that, the scope keeps on increasing, first to the entirety of Earth, then other worlds and actual aliens, then to fkn galaxies and shit. The amount of alien characters introduced that I know won't mean anything compared to our Demon King MC Choi Hyuk just demotivates me to read. As the novel keeps going my 3 brain cells struggle to follow, making me think that I need a novel break.

Actually it's 4.5 because it has some annoying parts that can be better but overall it's very interesting and has a unique setting and storyline that will dragg you along the story to know the end of his journey and I am satisfied with the ending.

Simply beautiful I can not put into words how enjoyable this novel was. There may have been some rough parts but the novel comes full circle in a way most stories can't. It's extremely memorable and you will not regret reading it, simply read a few chapters and you can decide if it's for you.

This story is about violence, war, revenge. The beginning is like Battle Royale with magic power. And from then on, it's an all out war. There is only some short breaks for the MC and for the readers throughout the novel, that is why it is better I think to read it little by little. It's exactly my type of protagonist: strong, merciless, psychopathe, disregard what everyone think, don't care about what is wrong and what is right, what is good and what is bad. One of the thing that... more>> I particularly like is that at some point, he will do the same as what he reproach others doing to him but he don't care, and want revenge anyway. Certainly one of the better novel I've read. I would agree that sometimes it felt like the MCs motive was weak and that plot armour exists, but that happens. It was certainly attention grabbing and actually moved forward at a decent pace. The side characters were fun but felt a little like they got thrown away, it felt like the author didn't want to drag things out, which I appreciate.

At points it was crazy unrealistic with no explanation, but we hand wave that away. Also falls victim... more>> to the little things falling wayside. If you like the summary give it a try.

Pros:

-For people who can't slog through info dumps
-MC that stays consistent in mindset and goals
-Non-stop fight and growth

Cons:
-The climax and resolution of arcs can feel like nothing really changed
-Not a lot of detail in things like appearance or technology
-Don't expect realism in fighting or a true happy end

Note: I read this in one 10-11h sitting so forgive me if my brain is scrambled or I misremembered <<less

Hmmm. I have quite a big expectation. It's just not my cup of tea. With that kind of personality, I think it's better for him to be a strong loner than a leader. Basically there's no control. His top elite follower couldnt really help changing direction for the better. It's really good at first ngl. But maybe after that curse insident I have a feeling of hestitation to continue reading.

I'll drop this for now. I'll maybe come back if the sudden urge to see gore hit me in the future~

I'm rating this novel a full 5 stars. This is one of my favorite fantasy novel, highly recommended for those who are still hesitating.
    • Interesting world setting, with a sense of novelty in the story.
    • Smooth begining with fast progression.
    • OP MC who always evolves, and that's his charm.
    • MC is always focused on his goal till the end.
  • The few thing I am unsatisfied with are first, the ending (it was somehow rushed?? And we don't clearly know what happens to the MC) and the somewhat ambiguous romance, not to the point of being annoying but, it would just have been better without it (just my honest thought).

    Anyways, it was a great ride, totally worth a binge read!!

I literally just made an account just to review this. It's pretty good, but the main character of the novel is quite confusing sometimes and I get angry and frustrated by it. But... don't worry! You'll find out why he does it later. All the characters have unique characteristics and personalities etc. I personally recommend this novel to anyone who takes interest in revenge, but not romance types though... Although there is a bit of romance in the end and beginning, but that ended quite badly (what I'm talking about... more>> is the romance in the beginning). So.... Yeah! :) <<less

A good plot with a decent chapter length. The most I like in this novel are, everyone has their own unique characteristics and they keep true to that till the end. They mature their mentality but still they retin their individual characteristics till the end. Also not everyone are fool always following a cliche, at the same time not everyone are super smart making them hard to understand. Eventhough this causes some discrepancies in the story background like for example, the Brain of the Exhaulted has been said to outperform... more>> several artificial intelligences, we never seen that something it ever does. In most times it just looks like board meeting of politicians. But still I can understand their motives and actions resulting of it.

Not so complex, not so simple. A moderate plot at the right chapter length with good enough narrative. <<less

I just finished reading this masterpiece and I decided to imminently register and an account on novelupdates to write a review.

This is a masterpiece tho it kinda a short novel but believes me, you will get a good read from this novel.

Normally reading a web novel, you won’t see things called characters development, but Sovereign of Judgment does and it does great.

The novel gives me a very intense emotional roller coaster, and the ending is very satisfying.

5/5. Great reading material.

This is quite cool, the condition and the premises was made by existing things in the world and give breath on them. The only thing outside it remarked as villain and represent them as the unknown. Marvelous picture to imagine.

The main character is relatable, yet not (?) . It is an awesome journey which he persistently chasing, a never ending adolescence. This could be a little bit presentation of one little aspect of what human is. About the woman, I love that woman who get outside, fight for the world... more>> and coming back to only to recharge without an ounce of wish for the protagonist to help. All the side characters is fun to read, with all their own ideology.

The story is rich, with a good pace and long chapters, even with all the repetition. I feel it could be longer though, with all the abundant characters that is mentioned if it’s developed even more.

nevertheless, a good one. <<less

Along with the perpectives given whenever there's an event, they're also something I really like about this book.

However, maybe this book wasn't for me. Even before I dropped it at chapter 105, I've wanted to drop it numerous times. Main character's journey, along with other characters, was not as interesting for me.

1. The pacing wasn't the best

this is exclusive to the way characters popped out of nowhere. We're given the purpose of the character, their names and they either show up for the rest of the book or they die immediately after. The former messed me up, like Ryu HyunSung? I forgot who he was and confused him with Youngjin.

2. There were loopholes I couldn't stop thinking about like

how did Laobao get so easily taken down like that? I haven't been able to stop thinking about that, even with the descriptions. Not only that, but the camel that broke my back: He doesn't want the lower subordinates (clans) to be rightfully suspicious of Chu Youngjin? He doesn't want them to have thinking skills, only wants idiots. It's not even the way that they approached Youngjin because the world became barbaric, but it's so unreasonable. The comment he made about Richard, I'd rather see Richard's story then!!!

OMG!!!

This definitely one of the best novels out there!!

Why should you read it?

  • The plot is really nice.
  • Well-developed characters (I almost felt they were real!). You could feel their emotions and relate.
  • There are almost no filler chapters.
I feel like complaining now that I want more chapters. But I won't be greedy and will reread it. Thank you so much Author-nim and Translator-nim!

P.S: The ending was cute! And took away all the sadness that I felt because of the death of few characters.

MC and the characters around him are given solid motivations and personalities, especially with the people from earth, each of their unique reactions to the "training" they got is well written. the people who said all the characters are flat probably didn't read enough... MC continues to grow and encounter things, you can see more and more of his personality as the story progresses. I do think some logic and stuff might be iffy but overall the world building is very solid and extensive. as different motivations and goals mesh... more>> there are multiple mental conflicts that make for good drama and story. <<less

It's a nice read. It's actually unique and the world building was told very nice. When I started it I binged read it but then I got kind of put off with the main character because I felt that he is kind of flat? I know he is created that way so maybe he is the type of MC that I don't really vibe with. Or maybe it's because I stopped to early? BUT! I also did love moments with MC of course, he is OP and he keeps on... more>> surprising people, so if that's your genre you can give this a try. There was a reason I binged read it :)) There are also so many philosophical things going on, and you can actually quote some things that people can really relate to. Anyway, hopefully I could continue reading this and be able to complete it to give a more accurate review but I'm writing this now cause I think it might be later than sooner. <<less
